J-Stars Victory Vs. – Third Commercial Released

J-Stars-Victory-Vs-Title-Image-01

As well as the abundance of trailers that Namco Bandai releases online, the company also posts short commercials for their upcoming shonen brawler “J-Stars Victory Vs” and even though these videos are quite short I can imagine people still love seeing them because I know I do! The latest video to be posted is actually the third commercial for the game and it centres around three shonen favourites; Goku from “Dragon Ball Z”, Gon Freecss from “HunterXHunter” and Seiya the titular character from “Saint Seiya”.

Despite the video only going for a short 15 seconds, it does get its chance to show us the brilliant special “ken” movies of these three characters as well as a sneaky appearance by Bobobo-bo at the very end. Goku’s “King Kai Fist”, Gon’s “Jajan Fist” and Seiya’s “Pegasus Meteor Fist” are all shown but don’t just take my word for it, head down to the featured video section below and check out the video. Any fan of Shonen Jump would!

Keep your eyes on the site for any and all new information as it is released and remember that “J-Stars Victory Vs” is set to hit Japan on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on the 19th of March this year.

Sugoi! More news from the world of “J-Stars Victory Vs.” and it’s all thanks to Namco Bandai who revealed, through Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, the next four playable characters in the upcoming shonen brawler. Ace from “One Piece”, Killua from “HunterXHunter”, Hiei from “Yu Yu Hakusho” and Momotaro from “Sakigake!! Otoko Juku” are the four newest characters to have been added to the lineup.

Now we’ve already seen the addition of characters from “One Piece”, HunterXHunter” and “Yu Yu Hakusho” but, up until just now, no character from the classic bancho manga “Sakigake!! Otoko Juku” had been part of the roster. Thankfully the addition of “Momotaro” alongside the support character “Heihachi Edajima” has changed that and one more classic manga has been added into the hot pot that is “J-Stars Victory Vs”.

It’s so great to see that Namco Bandai and Shonen Jump have not slowed down on the information release for this game because it brings a smile to our faces every single week when we see that more great stuff has been added to this already fantastic game. Keep your eyes on the site for any and all new information as it is released and remember that “J-Stars Victory Vs” is set for a release in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on the 19th of March this year.

Curve Digital have announced that their upcoming action game, Titan Invasion, will in fact be a combination of Puppygames’; Titan Attacks! and Revenge of the Titans. The cross-buy action title is coming this summer on PS3, PS4 and PlayStation Vita.

Managing Director of Curve Digital, Jason Perkins, stated, “Titan Attacks and Revenge of the Titans are two full games in their own right, so being able to release them as a single collection in Titan Invasion – and to also be able to offer that as cross-buy title – represents great value for money for PlayStation gamers.”

In contrast to EA’s ‘Titanfall’, Titan Attacks! is an arcade shooter, that plays a little more like a modern, more advanced Space Invaders (as shown above), with a full ship upgrade system, online leaderboards and stylish, neo-retro visuals. Whereas, Revenge of the Titans is a real-time strategy and tower-defence mash-up with over 25 different types of buildings and a deep upgrade system as players progress through 50 challenging levels.

Keep on guard for the Titan Invasion, as more Capsule Computer updates are released within the next month.

Yozakura Quartet’s Creator Designs New Digimon Characters

Digimonstory-Cybersleuth-Character-Reveal-01
When boy and Digimon meet…the adventure evolves

That’s right folks, apparently Yozakura Quartet creator Suzuhito Yasuda, is designing the characters for the next Digimon game, entitled Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

The protagonist of the game is, not surprisingly, a cybersleuth who can control Digimon and harbours an admiration for hackers. With mysteries cropping up in both the real and digital worlds, it is up to him and his partner Agumon to solve them. Having lost his physical body in an unfortunate cyberspace accident, the boy is now imbued with special abilities and can freely jump between Cyberspace Eden and the real world through the use of terminals.

The game itself described as a “rule-of-virtue training RPG game” and will take place over the course of four years (in game time of course). The game boasts many new places to explore, plenty of Digimon to train and fancy new graphics. Sure to put the PS Vita through its paces when the game releases. So far, only the protagonist has been shown, but stay tuned as more Yasuda designed characters are revealed.

So if any of that tickles your digital fancy, check out the trailer below and nab a first-person view of a new Digital World full of adventure and small dragons. Prodigious!
