Infinite Crisis: Sinestro instills fear and readies for battle!

Get an early look at Sinestro in the latest Champion Profile video from Infinite Crisis, the free-to-play MOBA from Turbine based in the DC Universe! On Wednesday, 21 May, players can instill fear in their enemies and silence even the most formidable foes, when Sinestro officially goes live in-game!

In search of perfect order and vengeance upon his enemies, Sinestro’s power is fueled by fear. As a Blaster, Sinestro eliminates his enemies by spreading silence and fear to cull the weak.

A former mentor to Hal Jordan, he was once a renowned Green Lantern, praised by many. But when Jordan exposed Sinestro’s use of oppression and fear to “create order,” everything changed. Sinestro was put on trial and banished to the antimatter universe, where he found a new kind of power ring that channeled not Willpower, but Fear. In time, Sinestro would even come to control Parallax, the living embodiment of all fear.

Check out the new Champion profile video via the link and embed code below, along with the accompanying character bio and key art.

Full Mojo Rampage launches on Steam this Thursday, May 8th, 2014

Full Mojo Rampage launches on Steam this Thursday, May 8th, 2014

A co-op roguelike that features Voodoo, gods, and more rum than you can shake a doll at!

Do You Voodoo?

Full Mojo Rampage is a roguelike game taking place in the confines of the Voodoo reality. In this realm only the most powerful rites can provide a safeguard against evil.

Currently available as an Early Access title, the full game will officially launch on May 8th, 2014 (Steam, Humble Store, Windows).

Find Your Mojo!

You are a fresh Voodoo apprentice, hungry for knowledge in all things powerful. Through serving the Voodoo Gods known as “Loa,” you will gain their favor and trust in your quest to become a full-fledged Voodoo master.

Your first quest is in the service of the mighty Baron Samedi. Samedi is known for his love of women, good tobacco, and drinking more rum than any human or Voodoo God. In his drunken glory he ruined an otherwise safe ritual, and now hordes of enemies are entering the world. He has appointed you the great honor of cleaning up after him.

  • Play with up to 4 friends in an online co-op match or challenge them in VS modes (Capture the Flag, Deathmatch or King of Mojo).
  • Explore four different game modes, including: Campaign, Daily Quest, Survival, and Survival Unlimited.
  • Uncover mojos in your adventure! Mojos are enchanted Voodoo items with unique properties, both beneficial and harmful. By visiting shrines, you can also form pacts with Loa to become more powerful, but be warned: Some Loa are known to play devious tricks on adventurers!
  • Explore randomly generated levels filled with secret rooms, shrines, vendors, mixing rooms, and more in vivid 3D.
  • Worship only the most fascinating Loa. Did you know most of the Voodoo gods are obsessed with the finest women and even finer rum?
  • Music composed by Alistair Lindsay (Prison Architect).
  • Uncover Easter eggs from our favorite games!
  • Dying is not an end, but a means. In this world, death is around every corner—but do not fret: It is the path to a stronger Voodoo soul. Any gold and experience you earn will persist with your character through death itself. Use this gold and experience to buy new pins and the favor of Loa to progress through even harder challenges!
  • Mac and Linux versions are in the works, with possible PlayStation®4/Xbox One versions in the future, depending on demand.

Dragon Nest Europe: The Wrath of the Desert Dragon

Dragon Nest Europe: The Wrath of the Desert Dragon
Shanda Games International Europe patches the hardest 8-player raid dungeon so far

Eschborn, Germany, 7th May 2014: Games publisher Shanda Games International Europe raises the bar for maximum level players in the free to play fantasy action MMORPG Dragon Nest Europe by patching the Desert Dragon Nest, the hardest raid dungeon there is for the current level cap. On top of this, there will be a new dungeon, a new mount and a new costume set.

A Tough Challenge for PvE Players
Passing through the Garden of Time and Space, players can now enter the most challenging raid Nest Dragon Nest Europe has seen so far – the Desert Dragon Nest. Five to eight people can take on the challenge and fight their way through three deadly stages containing seven bosses and the most perilous dragon they ever had to face.
If level 60 players manage to take the Desert Dragon Jakard down, they will get pieces of the unique grade Desert Dragon equipment set and trigger a 1-hour buff for all players present in the capital city Saint Haven.

Difficulty Balancing
Despite the new raid Nest being the most difficult one so far without changes made to the gameplay, the Desert Dragon Nest also introduces the damage cap feature that is exclusive to this specific dungeon. Once a preset maximum of buffs has been activated, the total player damage on top of equipment stats cannot be increased any further and damage over time ticks are restricted to a maximum number of recurrences.

Synthesizing Talismans and Dungeon Expansions
Following up on last month’s content, Shanda Games International Europe opens the gate of the Tel Rosa dungeons, letting Jasmine’s army intrude further into the sacred ground of Tel Rosa City, the Arnute Canyon and the Occupied Ancient Temple. After opening Talisman slots to players last month, Dragon Nest Europe now provides the possibility to craft high grade Talismans from Talisman Fragments and Essences obtainable through daily quests.

Dual Specialization and Fierce Wolf Mount
This month there is one of the most anticipated Cash Shop updates so far. Dragon Nest Europe players can finally acquire a skill tree expansion scroll, allowing them to unlock a second active skill tree for their character, a vital option for players enjoying both PvE and PvP content. Furthermore, the Deluxe Box now contains a bone-chilling Ice Dire Wolf mount and a new costume set as well as brand-new earrings are available via direct sale.

Indie Publisher Versus Evil Partners with 4gency to Launch Habitat for Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux

Indie Publisher Versus Evil Partners with 4gency to Launch Habitat for Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux
Austin, TX (May 7th, 2014) – Indie publisher Versus Evil today announced that it has teamed up with Seattle developer 4gency, to bring Habitat: A Thousand Generations in Orbit, to Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux. In Earth’s orbit, where crisis is guaranteed, Habitat is the only strategic space simulation game that uses orbital debris to build the future homes of humanity and where hope for survival relies on the creativity and resourcefulness of the player. Exploration, resource management and physics-based flight and combat come together for the ultimate space survival experience.

“We first saw Habitat at GDC.  Our team immediately loved the concept and how passionate 4gency is about their game.  Once we played it we were hooked”, said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil. “Habitat will offer gamers a unique space survival experience quite unlike anything else, and we are thrilled that 4gency wants to work with us”.

In Habitat players must assume the role of ‘Commander’ and lead a team of engineers to gather a variety of debris found in Earth’s orbit, turning it into habitable space stations that can support human life. As players combine different elements of debris, explore space and mine the resources found there, a fully expandable tech tree can be researched. However surviving in a zero gravity universe in the face of constant crisis also relies on the player’s ability to master physics-driven flight simulation as well as turning some of their creations into deadly kinetic orbital weapons that will be needed to take out the enemy when necessary.

“The team at Versus Evil is absolutely the right partner for us to launch this game with,” says 4gency founder Charles Cox. “They’re a small, nimble and dedicated team that understands our needs and we are really looking forward to getting the marketing and PR campaigns up and running with their help.”

On May 1st, 4gency successfully completed their Kickstarter campaign which will help the development team get the game to the next level, details of which we will be announced soon.

Atelier Rorona Plus rated R18+ in Australia

New-Atelier-Rorona-screenshot-06

It looks like New Atelier Rorona will be making its way to the West just like the other Plus titles in the Arland trilogy. Today a rating for Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland appeared on the Australian Classification Board which is known for revealing a game’s localization before the company’s own announcement. In fact the same thing happened back with Atelier Totori Plus as that too was rated before Tecmo Koei could announce the game’s release in the West.

atelier-rorona-rating-mockeryWhile the game has not officially been announced for release in the West, this is a pretty good hint of things to come and is good news for fans of the Atelier series as Rorona has been given a lot of revisions compared to the other titles in the series.

That being said, it is interesting to see that Australia’s rating board believes that this game, just like Totori, is more violent and mature than even the bloodiest games that have been released in recent years.
