Ubisoft have released the first entry in a series of Developer Diaries for Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
Episode 1: Art & Emotion is presented by Art Director Paul Tumelaire and gives an inside look at the development of the game’s visual style within the UbiArt Framework, also touching upon the emotional crux and inspiration for the story. Having played the game recently, the connection between these multiple characters from different backgrounds, and the stories behind their fights for survival, redemption and love in the midst of WWI is truly powerful. Valiant Hearts: The Great Warwill be available as a digital download for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on June 25.
PASSTECH Games and Focus Home Interactive released a new batch of screenshots for the upcoming indie game Space Run. The game is a mix between tower defense and ship construction. The title stars Buck Mann, a space runner who transports valuable cargo that is particularly attractive to pirates and fellow space runners.
The new screenshots highlight the game’s ship building mechanics. Players will start with an empty ship and will need to continually add modules to their ship during missions to contend with ever changing enemies. There are 18 modules with two skills each that will shoot enemies, protect the precious cargo, and provide energy for the ship.
Space Run will be released for Linux, Mac, and Windows via Steam in Q2 2014. Learn more at the official Space Runwebsite.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Coming in August
Bam! Time to hit the ground running with some hard-hitting journalism. Microsoft and Mojang have announced that the long-awaited Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be available as a digital download this coming August. So now you can dig those blocks, and build those structures in glorious H…. Ok well not quite HD cause you know… Minecraft… but it is still awesome to finally have it coming to Xbox One.
External Storage, Real Names and More Coming with Xbox One System Update in June
The Xbox One is starting to feel a little like Adobe Reader with all of the updates it is getting. Next month’s upcoming update will bring two highly requested features – support for external storage devices, and real names for identifying your friends a little easier. In addition, new Smart Glass features are being implemented. These will allow you to use your Smart Glass device as a universal remote control, to log-into your account and to access the OneGuide. These updates will begin rolling out in June, so make sure your console is set to automatically download updates so you have them as soon as they are live.
Skype for Xbox One Gets a Sweet Snap Upgrade
Ok now THIS is cool. With the Kinect 2.0 and the Skype App for Xbox One have made it easier than ever to talk to (and look at) your friends, but there has been no way to play your favourite games while doing so… Until now. Finally, the Snap feature is being implemented for Skype so you don’t have to stop your marathon run of Titanfall just to talk to your brother in the next room. What an age to be alive!

The official poster for the gaming and Japanese pop-culture event Tokyo Game Show 2014 has been revealed ahead of the show later this year. The poster comes from prestigious visual artist Ippei Gyobou, the same designer who has crafted the unique artwork for Tokyo Game Show since 2010. His artwork was critically acclaimed for Tokyo Game Show 2013 in particular, with its visual flair creating unforgettable imagery.
You can of course check out the poster above in all its incredible detail. The theme for this year’s Tokyo Game Show is ‘Changing Games: The Transformation of Fun’. Release of new Fancy Pattern Vivillon will mark a huge milestone for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y’s Global Trade Station
Currently, about 90 million Pokémon have been traded worldwide, and to celebrate the landmark of 100 million Pokémon trades via the Global Trade Station (GTS), a new Fancy Pattern Vivillon will become available to players.
Vivillon is a unique Pokémon in that the patterns and colours on its wings typically vary based on the real-world region in which a player lives. Because of this characteristic, players around the world have been exchanging Vivillon via the GTS to collect all of the regional patterns.
This newly discovered Vivillon breaks with that tradition: it will become available to Pokémon fans across the globe once the 100 millionth Pokémon is traded via the GTS. When this enormous milestone is reached, a special distribution event will take place, enabling all players of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y to receive the Fancy Pattern Vivillon wherever they are in the world!

Today Mojang has announced what many fans of Minecraft have been waiting for. That news being of course that Minecraft is going to be coming to the next-gen consoles, as well as the PS Vita, very soon. The release is expected to occur sometime in August and there are a number of details for the game depending on which console you pick it up for.
If you happen to buy the Xbox One version or PS4 version of the game it will be priced at $19.99 but users who own the 360 or PS3 version of Minecraft can upgrade for only $4.99. Now the Xbox 360 version will allow players to import their worlds but not their save data, though “many, if not all” textures packs and skins will be available for the Xbox One.
The PS4 release will allow players to transfer their save data from the PS3 to the Vita or the PS4 but not back due to technical issues. Cross platform play is also not possible in any of these games. As for the Vita release, it will also cost $19.99 but if you own the digital version of the PS3 version of Minecraft then you will be given the Vita version free of charge.
Tecmo Koei has revealed that not only are they bringing Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate over to the West but they are also bringing Samurai Warriors 4 to Europe this fall as well. This title was previously only announced for release in Japan and the company is not only going to be bringing the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita version of the game over but they are also planning on bringing a PlayStation 4 version of the title to the West as well.
It is worth noting that at the moment, Samurai Warriors 4 has only been announced for release in Europe by Tecmo Koei and at the time of this writing Tecmo Koei America has not announced the game for release in North America, but with a full announcement meant to occur this weekend we will likely know more then.
While we have heard for some time that Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate was being developed for Japan, no plans for a Western release of the title were mentioned. That changed today when Tecmo Koei announced that not only are they planning on releasing Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate in the West this fall but they are going a step further by also releasing an Xbox One version of the game as well.
Previously Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate was only being developed for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita so this is a nice bonus for fans of the Xbox. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate features a number of improvements over the original game including the addition of a fighter from the Atelier series and SoulCalibur. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be released as physical titles priced at $59.99 while the Vita and PS3 versions will be digital only and be sold at $39.99 and $49.99 respectively.
