Mortal Kombat X Announced, Trailer Features Original Song by Wiz Khalifa

MKX-Trailer-01

“Who’s Next?” Well, it looks like Sub-Zero was next… poor guy! The Lin Kuei master really doesn’t have a good track record against his (im)mortal enemy Scorpion, and it continues in the Mortal Kombat X announcement trailer. That’s right, Mortal Kombat X has been revealed by mister Ed Boon on Twitter, and now Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have provided us with more official details of the title. NetherRealm Studios’ next instalment in the iconic fighting franchise will release in 2015 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. It will make its first public appearance at E3 in just 8 days.

Creative Director, Ed Boon, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President, Martin Tremblay, had this to say about the game;

Mortal Kombat is our acclaimed, world-renowned franchise and we are now advancing the fighting genre with Mortal Kombat X. NetherRealm Studios is best in class at delivering games fans love and they are taking their iconic brand to the next level with Mortal Kombat X. – Tremblay

MKX-Trailer-02

Mortal Kombat has always been about over-the-top, visceral fighting and with Mortal Kombat X we wanted to utilise the power of new-gen consoles to give players our most intense game yet. The team has worked hard to make sure Mortal Kombat X delivers everything fans expect along with new characters, new game modes and an all new graphics engine. – Boon

MKX-Keyart-01

Mortal Kombat X will present the most cinematic experience in the series yet, one that is every bit as brutal as its predecessors (if not more!) and fully-connected, boasting a persistent online contest where players will fight for global supremacy. For the first time ever, Mortal Kombat X will allow players the choice of multiple variations of each characters, promising to offer different strategic and stylistic impacts as a result. As has been the case with the team’s last two releases, there will also be an original Story Mode, featuring fan favourites such as the franchise mascots in Scorpion and Sub-Zero, whilst introducing all-new challengers.

Also unveiled as part of the game’s announcement is an original track by Rostrum/Atlantic recording artist Wiz Khalifa entitled “Can’t Be Stopped”. The rapper is a huge Mortal Kombat fan – as is evident by his reference in “The Race” – and wrote this song specifically for the trailer.

RISE UP AND STRIKE BACK AS CRYTEK AND DEEP SILVER ANNOUNCE HOMEFRONT®: THE REVOLUTION

RISE UP AND STRIKE BACK AS CRYTEK AND DEEP SILVER ANNOUNCE HOMEFRONT®: THE REVOLUTION

Larkspur, Calif., June 2, 2014 – Wage guerrilla warfare and reclaim the streets of Philadelphia in Homefront: The Revolution, a captivating new free-roaming FPS to be co-published in 2015 by Crytek and Deep Silver.

Coming to Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4, PC, Mac and Linux in 2015, Homefront: The Revolution throws players into a near future dystopia. Catastrophic events have brought the United States to its knees and enabled the Korean People’s Army forces to impose a brutal military occupation. Trapped in this American nightmare, Philadelphia has become a police state, where surveillance drones and armored patrols keep her once-proud citizens at heel, crushing any dissent with totalitarian force.

To overcome their oppressors, players will have to engage in guerrilla warfare and use ambush, infiltration and hit and run tactics in thrilling un-scripted firefights. At every turn they’ll find a sprawling open-world city, in which recruiting fellow revolutionaries and building improvised homebrew weapons are just two of the keys to creating a powerful resistance force.

The Resistance flourishes far beyond the single player. Homefront: The Revolution supports up to four players in online Co-Op gameplay where you form your own resistance cell and become renowned as Heroes of the Revolution.

“Homefront: The Revolution stands out from the crowd by immersing players in a world where they’ll feel emotionally compelled to fight for their freedom,” said Hasit Zala, Game Director at Crytek. “We’re very excited to work with Deep Silver and deliver an experience that underlines Crytek’s commitment to quality whilst tapping into the huge potential we saw when we first acquired the Homefront IP.”

Homefront: The Revolution represents the first time Crytek and Deep Silver have worked together, with the two partners collaborating to release the game as part of a co-publishing agreement.

“Crytek has an outstanding track record of creating AAA action games. Homefront is a fascinating IP with huge global potential. With Crytek`s technical pedigree and Deep Silver´s publishing expertise, we will take the IP to new heights,” said Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver / Koch Media.

Developed by Crytek’s Nottingham studio, Homefront: The Revolution harnesses the latest features of Crytek’s CRYENGINE technology. On the ground, players will encounter a dynamic environment that looks and feels truly alive as day turns to night and storm clouds come and go – an authenticity that extends to the strikingly lifelike expressions, skin and clothing of everyone they encounter.

To find out more about the Homefront: The Revolution, and to watch an all-new trailer showing the game in action, visit www.homefront-game.com.

OVER 9,000 ZOMBIES! TO BE UNLEASHED SOON ON STEAM EARLY ACCESS

OVER 9,000 ZOMBIES! TO BE UNLEASHED SOON ON STEAM EARLY ACCESS

London – 2nd June, 2014 – Swarms of the undead will be taking over Steam Early Access in what is possibly the greatest number of zombies ever seen in a game*. Indie developer Loren Lemcke has teamed up with UK independent publisher Mastertronic to bring Over 9000 Zombies! to Steam Early Access this July.

Over 9000 Zombies! is a retro-style, top-down zombie shoot ‘em up. The zombie apocalypse has arrived and you must annihilate them to survive. Tons of AI enemies powered by Zombie Swarm Intelligence launch themselves in marauding hordes of fiendish pests for insane zombie killing action! Choose from a massive array of weapons, build a fortified base with automated turrets, and blast the relentless rogues to cling on to life as long as possible. The crisp clockwork breakbeats conceived by Clearside Music create a cavalcade of sound that punctuates your murderous missions with its increasingly intense dynamic. Call for reinforcements with cooperative multiplayer that lets friends join your fight against the multitudes of zombies!

Also contains zombie dog poo.

Loren Lemcke, developer, commented: “The greatest plague of our society is not hordes of zombies, but those who kill zombies thinking it is justified because there is no humanity left in their souls. I contend we humans are not that different from our zombie brethren. Do we not also hunger for the unobtainable? Do we not also grasp and claw at any shred of happiness of which we happen to catch scent? Are we not also inspired by the brains of great men and women? Please, my brothers and sisters, if you choose to slay zombies, hear my simple plea: do it not because of our minor differences, but rather, do it because it is fun.”

Andy Payne, CEO of Mastertronic, said: “When we first saw Over 9000 Zombies! we knew that Mastertronic should be the meat shield for this wonderful game. I am glad Loren let us be part of this apocalypse.”

Over 9000 Zombies! will be unleashing soon on Steam Early Access for Windows PC.

*No zombies were harmed in the making of this game.

Mount Panorama, Motor Racing Circuit Bathurst (commonly referred to as Bathurst) is Australia’s premier racing circuit located in the town of Bathurst, New South Wales province. This 6.2 km (4 miles) track is home to the annual Bathurst 12 Hour race and the Bathurst 1000 race which attracts racers from around the world.

One of the major features of this track is the astounding 174 metre (570 foot) vertical difference between its highest and lowest points. Racers must navigate three sections of the track starting with a short straight followed by a tight left turn leading into a steep mountain climb. The next section is arguably the most difficult because it forces the cars into a narrow series of turns on top of the mountain. From the summit racers must then negotiate a long downhill section with a few tight turns where if they are not careful, will quickly find themselves off track and in the dirt.

Bathurst started off as a dirt track in the mid-1930s and, with a ton of support from the New South Wales Light Car Club, Auto Cycle Union and the Federal Government; it was built into a track that simply demands respect from all who race on it. It officially opened on March 19, 1938; considering the great depression happening at the time it was quite an incredible feat that the track was built at all. But as a testament of how amazing this track is and how much support it had, the first official race drew a crowd of 20,000 spectators!

Bathurst is simply one of the most iconic tracks in the Racing world and you’ll be able experience it in World of Speed!
