Goodgame Announces Shadow Kings

shadow-kings-promo-art.-001jpg

Goodgame Studios is proud to announce Shadow Kings, an exciting new MMO game coming to brower, iOS and Android. The new title is a free MMO building and strategy game in a popular fantasy setting, filled with noble knights, unruly dwarves and proud elves. The peaceful world is threatened as the envy of the orcs, goblins and trolls are unleashed and war descends upon the land.

The Shadow Kings will be released this August on Android, iOS and browser. Gamers are able to bring their imaginations to life as they create their own town and kingdoms. They can build armies to defend their creations, conquer enemies and win epic battles. You can play with others in alliances or go solo and make an empire.

Although the versions for mobile and browser are closely related, they are not identical, and accounts will not be transferable between the two versions. But regardless of whether on browser, tablet or smartphone, Shadow Kings offers an engaging and long-lasting gaming experience in a friendly and humorous world. Shadow Kings should be a great MMO even on touch-screen mobile systems as it was designed and developed with a mobile platform in mind right from the very start. So prepare to build, protect and expand your kingdom in this quirky fantasy world.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Motion Character Posters

TMNT-Poster-05

Paramount Pictures have released four motion character posters promoting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, depicting each of our favorite shelled crime-fighters.

Directed by Michael Bay, the film has already garnered a substantial amount of attention due to that sole fact, with the divisive director carrying a lot of expectations on his shoulders (as he did for Transformers). He doesn’t like the easy route does he? Franchises as beloved as these have rabid fans, and although the group have undergone a grittier and, let’s face it, grotesque makeover, let’s not forget that these are humanoid turtles. And if the latest trailer is anything to go by, the film looks entertaining and in keeping with the overall spirit of the original series. Check out the above-mentioned motion character posters below! TMNT releases on September 11, 2014.

Remember Sakura Spirit? It is an All-Ages PC visual novel being developed by Winged Cloud and published by Sekai Project that was placed up for pre-order by MangaGamer back in May. Well now Sakura Spirit has been released not only through MangaGamer’s website but also on Steam. It is worth noting that anyone who pre-ordered Sakura Spirit through MangaGamer should have received a Steam key for the title but in case you might have missed out on that, the title is currently available for purchase on Steam at the discounted price of $7.49, a 25% discount, until July 16th when it will move back up to $9.99.

For those who haven’t heard of the game, Sakura Spirit follows the story of rising judo star Gushiken Takahiro who, when visiting a shrine to pray for his success in an important match, faints only to awaken and find himself in an ancient looking world where he stumbles upon unusual looking girls fighting each other with swords. He chooses to follow them in an effort to try and find a way back home. But could he possibly be stuck in that time forever?

Original “Alien” Cast Reunite for Alien: Isolation DLC

alien-isolation-screenshot-01

Games that are based on popular movie franchises often suffer in the voice acting department, either with sound-alikes that don’t quite match up with their movie counterparts, or brand new actors that don’t even resemble the source material. Well, SEGA and Twentieth Century Fox look to buck that trend with the upcoming Alien: Isolation by bringing back the cast of the original Alien film for two bonus DLC missions. (in addition to the new cast that have been introduced just for the game)

Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Rom Skerrit (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dead Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash, likeness and sound-alike) are set to feature in two downloadable missions that will be available for players who pre-order the game. The two missions; Crew Expendable and Last Survivor will allow you to relive some of the original film’s most intense scenes all over again.

Alien: Isolation will be available from October 7th on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC so make sure you get your pre-order squared off to ensure you get access to the content. As always, make sure you stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all the Alien news as it becomes available.

NHL 15’s next-gen hockey player detailed in latest video

nhl-15-screenshot-24

EA Sports has released a new gameplay trailer focusing on how they have taken the next step in making sure that NHL 15 contains a true “next-gen hockey player.” They have done this not only by creating more realistic looking jerseys (though you may notice it glitching out at one point in the video) but by also making each character model more detailed and using three separate layers for the player’s body, equipment, and jersey.

The trailer also shows off how the company has revised the user-controlled celebration system that seems to finally include the very common team hugs that occur after important goals. You can check out the video below and be sure to keep an eye out for NHL 15 when it is released on September 9th in North America for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
