Meta Knight is making a welcome return to Super Smash Bros. after being revealed in the Pic of the Day. Interestingly the Monday picture showcased a Mii wearing a Meta Knight mask with the caption “And I am Meta Knight, joining the Battle” so many people were already fairly certain we would see a confirmation this week, with yesterdays unrelated picture featuring The Special Flag trying to throw the Miiverse community off the scent. Meta Knight is the latest character to be revealed since newcomers Robin and Lucina from the Fire Emblem series were introduced alongside veteran fighter Captain Falcon.
Meta Knight is the anti-hero of the Kirby series and was first featured in a Smash Bros. game in Brawl where he was one of the very first newcomers introduced alongside Wario. Meta Knight saw a very high level of play in the competitive scene, forcing the character to become banned in most tournaments as he was seen as overpowered. It will be interesting to see what adjustments they make to his move set and mechanics among the rest of the cast to even out the playing field. Let us know in the comments below if you are happy to see Meta Knight make a return and while you’re there, let us know which character you would most like to see in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS. You can check out all of Meta Knight’s introduction screenshots below.

2K has revealed details behind one of the premier modes of WWE 2K15, called ‘2K Showcase’. The mode will share similarities with WWE 2K14‘s ‘30Years of WrestleMania’ in that it focuses on reliving certain memorable moments in the history of the WWE, except that it will chronicle two specific feuds from start to finish in extreme comprehensiveness.
Those rivalries that will come on-disc at launch, this October 30th, are Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels from 2002 to 2004, and, somewhat surprisingly considering recent circumstances and events, CM Punk vs. John Cena from 2011 to 2013. The mode spans 33 in total, but additional 2K Showcase rivalries will be created as DLC post-launch. Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K, said of the two main inclusions;
The moment Triple H ended his long-time friendship with ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ by slamming him with a Pedigree was a defining moment in WWE history. No fan can deny the fierce competition marking the notorious battles waged between Cena and Punk. These two rivalries are firmly etched in WWE history, and 2K Showcase enables fans to take part in those memorable experiences.
These epic rivalries will be told through a mix of documentary-esque video packages, archival footage, authentic WWE Superstar commentary and breathtaking cinematics. Across the 33 matches, there will be many bonus historical objectives for the player to complete that will unlock new WWE Superstars, Championship titles and alternate attires, all of which can then be utilised in any mode of the game. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative at WWE, added;
Featuring two of the biggest rivalries in WWE history, including my storied matches with Shawn Michaels, there’s no doubt fans will experience the thrill first-hand through WWE 2K15. 2K Showcase brings WWE to life in a way our fans have never seen before through a video game.
WWE 2K15 is being developed by both Yukes and Visual Concepts, and is not yet rated for Australia and New Zealand. “Feel It!” on October 30, for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Pre-order it now and receive two generations of ‘The Icon’ Sting! Wooooo!

Earlier this week, a weird little game was put onto the PSN. It was called P.T, or “Playable Teaser,” and was for an unnamed survival horror game that is currently in the works. It was all very secretive and mysterious. Well today the lid has been blown off, and we now know that P.T. is actually a playable trailer for a brand new Silent Hill game! Tentatively titled Silent Hills – this will be the newest installment in the franchise since 2012’s Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, we also know that the game is being designed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. You read that right, the director of Pacific Rim (and a tonne of other awesome things) is teaming up with the creator of Metal Gear Solid to create a new Silent Hill game! As if THAT isn’t the coolest thing ever, the game is being headlined by Walking Dead star Norman Reedus.
Details on the new game are still relatively slim, but rest assured that we will be covering the news as it comes to light. So for all the Silent Hill news as it becomes available, make sure you stay tuned to Capsule Computers
If you are a fan of The Sims, then you likely know by now that the “Create-A-Sim” demo for the upcoming Sims 4 has been floating around the internet for the past few weeks. You will also probably know that this demo has only been available to a select few… until today.
A mere 4 hours before their Gamescome press conference, EA have made the demo available to the public. Now no matter who or where you are in the world, if you have an Origin account and a PC you can start making Sims in your own image (or however you want really, I wont judge).
Getting the demo is pretty easy too, all you need to do log into Origin (which you can download here if you haven’t already) then head over to the Demos and Betas tab under Free Games and wah-lah. The demo is about 1GB so it shouldn’t take you too long to download. So go forth my Sims fans and create, create, create! The Sims 4 releases next month on PC so make sure you stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all the news as it becomes available.
With the impending release of Disney Infinity 2.0, a lot of the character reveals and marketing has focused on the Marvel side of things, but that doesn’t mean that we are not getting some more awesome Disney Original characters. As if last week’s announcement of Aladdin and Jasmine weren’t enough to kick any Disney-fan’s excitement into overdrive, we now have confirmation that one of Disney’s fab five (and quite possibly one of the greatest characters the company has ever created) will be joining the ranks, and it is none other than Donald Duck himself.
Woah, woah calm down… Oh who am I kidding, this news is awesome! Donald will be a playable character in the Toy Box where he has access to a wide-array of skills and abilities. Not only that, but there will also be a special costume-change Power Disc that allows Donald to turn into one of the Three Musketeers!
As with all character announcements, we have a little trailer below for you to check out (and I personally think it is the best character reveal trailer to date). Give it a watch, and let us know in the comments below how excited you are to stand Donald up next to Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey. Also remember to check out our recent impressions of Disney Infinity 2.0 and to make sure you stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all the Disney Infinity news as it becomes available.

Magic: The Gathering sets are typically broken up into three categories; Expert-Level, Beginner’s-Level and Supplementary (it even used to be printed right on the packs). Core-Sets, like the recently released Magic 2015 fit into the Beginner’s category. That means at their core (heh, get it?) they are designed to introduce new players into the game. The cards are usually a little toned down and the abilities are not all that taxing for new players to understand.
So when you have a set of cards designed to get into the hands of new players, you have to make sure that there is an effective and efficient way to actually get those cards INTO the hands of the players. That is there the Deck Builder’s Tookit comes in. The Toolkit provides new players with all of the necessary pieces to make their own decks, and really start to learn the nuances of the game.
The Magic 2015: Deck Builder’s Toolkit comes with 285 cards that span the last few sets of Magic: The Gathering. The primary focus is on the Magic 2015 set, but it also contains cards from the recent Theros block. Here is a quick breakdown of what you can expect in the box:
100x Basic Land Cards (20 of each Basic Land type)
4 x Booster Packs (1 from Magic 2015, Theros, Journey Into Nyx and Dragon’s Maze)
85x Fixed cards from Magic 2015 and Theros block
40x Semi-randomised cards from Magic 2015 and Theros block
The set features a semi-randomized nature so as to provide an equal and fair starting off point for new players, and comes included with a tonne of common and uncommon cards that they will use for quite some time. Players aren’t going to get anything particularly game-breakingly powerful in the set (unless they pull insanely good cards from their four booster packs) which means that everyone will still have something to strive towards in the future. Not only that but two friends can each buy a Deck Builder’s Toolkit and lean the ins and outs of the game on their own without having to worry about either player having any real advantage.
This year’s Deck Builder’s Toolkit actually does something new for the franchise: It includes cards that can’t really be attained anywhere else. There are a set of cards (including a rare from each colour) that are only available in the Deck Builder’s Toolkit, or the free Sample Decks that Wizards sends out to stores. Here are the rares you will find:
While none of these are exactly game-changers in the wide-world of Magic, they are great cards for new players to have. Shivan Dragon is a staple card of the game that has existed since Alpha and giving away a dragon to players is a great way to get them hooked (cause you know: Dragons are awesome!). Not only that but each rare kind of gives a feel as to how it’s colour traditionally plays. The white angel protects your cards, while the green beast just stomps over things.
Personally, if I was looking to get into Magic with a Deck Bulder’s Toolkit then this is almost exactly what I would be looking for. The only thing really missing is one of Wizard’s classic 20-sided spindown lifecounter, which is an invaluable tool for new and old players alike (it helps to determine who goes first, as well as keeping track of player’s life totals). The dice comes as part of the Fat Pack, but I would like to see it included in future Toolkits so that it really is a one-stop place for new players. Other than that however, there really is no better product to pick up if you or a friend are looking at getting started in this crazy game known as Magic: The Gathering.
