The Banner Saga 2 announced with teaser trailer

Those of you who are waiting to see what will happen next in The Banner Saga trilogy will be happy to hear that today during The Game Awards in Las Vegas Stoic Stuidos revealed that they are working on The Banner Saga 2. Unfortunately outside of this announcement, we know little about the actual title other than what has been hinted at in the teaser trailer that you can check out below.

The original game was a strategy RPG and was released not only for the PC but eventually came to the iOS, Android, and PlayStation 4 platforms so it will be interesting to see if this icy Nordic focused game will follow the same path.

New Bloodborne trailer released for The Game Awards

bloodborne-box-artDuring the The Game Awards in Las Vegas today Sony Computer Entertainment revealed a new trailer for Bloodborne, a title that many are hailing as the spiritual successor of the original Dark Souls.

This trailer shows off a brand new area in the game that results in a face off against a mysterious and dangerous hunter named Gascoigne. The trailer also shows off the new multiplayer interactive features that have been added into From Software’s latest title.

Currently Bloodborne is set to be released in North America on March 24th and on March 25th in Europe. As for the box art to the right, that is the recently revealed box art that will be used once Bloodborne hits store shelves.

Tacoma announced by Gone Home developer for 2016 release

Fullbright Company, the studio behind Gone Home, the PC game that many people call not a game, revealed a new title that will probably be debated as well at The Game Awards in Las Vegas. The title is called Tacoma and at the moment, the only thing that has been revealed about the game is the name and that it will be released on unknown platforms in 2016.

The only thing we do know is that the title apparently takes place on the Moon as the tagline for the game is currently “What mysteries await you, 200,000 miles from Earth?” Anyways, you can check out the teaser trailer for the title below.

Mario Maker’s latest trailer reveals new themes

During The Game Awards in Las Vegas Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Mario Maker, a title where players will be able to create and customize their very own Mario levels to enjoy on their own or absolutely punish their friends with. In this new trailer a number of new themes for the game were revealed.

Previously only New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario Bros. could be worked with but now Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World are joining the mix. You can check the trailer out below and as for the game itself, Mario Maker is currently set to be released on the Wii U sometime in 2015.

Adr1ft revealed for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC

Among the many larger titles focused on at The Game Awards in Las Vegas, a certain title from Three One Zero and 505 Games seemed a little out of place due to its slower nature, but considering it is telling the story of an astronaut in trouble, it makes sense.

The title is called Adr1ft and you can check out the premiere trailer below where an astronaut wakes up floating above Earth seeing destruction all around her. Currently Adr1ft is set to be released in summer 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC where it will support the Oculus Rift.

Release date announced for Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

Today Nintendo revealed at The Game Awards in Las Vegas that they are planning on releasing Code Name S.T.E.A.M. for the 3DS in North America on March 13th. The title was announced earlier this year and is a turn-based strategy game featuring a steam punk aesthetic.

Featuring an alternate history that includes numerous iconic figures from American literature and even Abraham Lincoln, Code Name S.T.E.A.M. is being developed by Intelligent Systems, the team behind games like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem.

To go along with the announcement, plus the reveal that Code Name S.T.E.A.M. will feature local and online multiplayer, a new trailer for the game was released and you can check that out below.

Until Dawn release date announced alongside gameplay trailer

After vanishing from the mind of the public for two years and then re-appearing a few months ago, it seems that Sony and Supermassive Entertainment have nailed down a release date for the PlayStation 4 horror game Until Dawn. The new re-imagined title will now be released in Summer 2015 and to go along with this announcement at The Game Awards in Las Vegas, a debut gameplay trailer was released which you can check out below.

From the look of things, the game’s action sequences may be completely quick time based similar to how David Cage handles his titles. That being said, we did have some hands on time with Until Dawn a few months ago and you can check out our impressions here.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to have second playable character

Today during The Game Awards in Las Vegas, CD Projeckt RED not only had a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to show off, but they also had a bit of a teaser to leave us guessing. You see, the developer revealed on the stage that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature a second playable character aside from Geralt.

As to who that character could be, they did not say but they did say that the character does appear in the below trailer, which is packed to the gills with characters. Signs do point to the playable character being the white haired woman Ciri, but at this point it is anyone’s guess.

New No Man’s Sky trailer focuses on travel

The first time that most of us heard of Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky was this time last year but today during the Video Game Awards the company had some more gameplay footage to show off. The trailer, which can be found below, features five different ways that you can travel through the galaxy once No Man’s Sky is released as a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive sometime next year.

For those unfamiliar with the title, No Man’s Sky is a “procedurally generated open universe” that allows players to explore and upgrade their ship however they like as they explore deep oceans and mountainous terrain while facing off against enemies ranging from basic predators to space battles.

Godzilla heading to PS4 and PS3 in the West Summer 2015

Big fans of Godzilla who own either the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 might have already downloaded the Japanese demo for the upcoming Godzilla title from Bandai Namco but it looks like you won’t have to worry about importing the title, as the company has now revealed that they plan on bringing the Godzilla game to the West this upcoming summer.

To go along with this announcement the company released a new trailer for the game as well as some new details about the game which you can check out below:
