Are you ready for more Mario vs Donkey Kong? Ready or not, Nintendo have double serving for you as Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is out March 20th in Europe (as it came out on the 5th in North America) for the eShop on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
While this game plays a lot like the rest of the franchise, it is the first that is cross-platform as well as cross-buy, with more customization than ever before. Nintendo recently released a new trailer for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, which you can check it out in all of its wind up glory down below.
I liked Fossil Fighters. It wasn’t quite Pokemon or Digimon, but it still was kind of quirky and deep in its own weird way. Nintendo didn’t really find a huge audience for the franchise, but the games still sold well enough for a new sequel to come out on the 3DS.
Fossil Fighters Frontier features vehicles, but I assure you will know that for the rest of your life after watching the commercial. I don’t know if this wants to be a meme or is just over the top for the fun of it, but it will get your attention. Crank up your volume and brace the windows as you check out the new clip down below.
Just recently, we rolled out a review for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and it turned out to be quite an enjoyable Wii U release (check out review here). Many in Europe are probably hugging their Amiibos, waiting to join with their styluses ready, and thankfully – that will come soon as Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush (as its dubbed in the regions) will be out May 8th.
Down under in Australia and New Zealand? Well, you will be getting it just one day later on May 9th. This is honestly a lovely little title with a lot to it, and well with its asking price. There isn’t a lot coming out for the Wii U at this moment (sans digital releases), so those who want a great little game can mark their calenders today.
If you’re thinking “didn’t I just read this story” then you wouldn’t be alone because I’m thinking “didn’t I just write this story”. Yes, Project CARS is delayed again. The ultra realistic racing simulator will now release in mid May (no specific date given) for PC via Steam as well as Xbox One and PS4 in Australia and Europe. The release date prior to this change was April 2nd and before that March 20th and was originally slated to release in the first quarter of 2014.
Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco had this to say on the newest delay:
““Despite our long heritage and pedigree in making critically-acclaimed racing games, Project CARS is by far the grandest and most intricately detailed of them all. Despite therefore the game being 99.9% complete, the remaining 0.1% attending to small issues and bugs has been tricky to anticipate. We’re absolutely dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking experience and by targeting mid-May fans can be assured that’s what they’ll receive” saidIan Bell, Head of Studioat Slightly Mad Studios. “Again, we want to thank our fans for their support and patience on this matter. There’s a high expectancy from racing fans around the world that Project CARS is going to be an exciting new contender in the simulation racing space and we firmly believe gamers deserve it to be in its most complete and polished state when they come to play it on day one.
And since the gaming community is our primary focus and has always been at the heart of the project during development, we would like to offer some free content to all players as compensation for this short delay and as acknowledgement of how grateful we are. This gift, that we’re sure is going to excite fans, will be available from day one and revealed shortly. Keep an eye on our website for more info.””.
Well at least the free content sounds good. We’re taking bets on if there will be another release date so let us know if you think their will be and how much your willing to bet in the comments below. A very talked down Wii U version should also be close to completion by this time but no release date has yet been given. You can check out our impressions of the game here. In other bad release date news today, Naughty Dog confirmed Uncharted 4 will not be released until 2016.
Fans have been waiting and XSEED Games has delivered. Today the company announced that they will be localizing Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson for release in North America and Europe. This 3DS release will be given a digital and limited ‘Double D’ retail release featuring a two-disc soundtrack North America and various physical editions in Europe that can be found here.
Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson features all of the twelve original Senran Kagura characters in a brand new story that follows the Hanzo & Hebijo Shinobi Academies as they must work together to prevent a tyrannical leader from raising an army of summoned demons to destroy Japan. A number of graphical and technical improvements have been made to Deep Crimson as well as the addition of pair battles and an improved dressing room.
No you won’t see Pokemon invading Mobius or Sonic trying to outrun a Mega Pidgeot, Sega and Game Freak have announced their collaboration title as a brand new 2D fast paced action-platformer called Tembo The Badass Elephant. Now don’t sigh or groan yet, the game actually looks like it has some awesome potential with a fresh playable character that seems to be the elephant version of Rambo, great stylized graphics and gameplay reminiscent of the much loved Donkey Kong Country series.
Tembo The Badass Elephant was born from an idea by one of the art guys down at Game Freak while he was taking time away from Pokemon to work on his own project. This is a strictly single player experience and destruction of your environment will play a huge role as you destroy columns that can open up new pathways or ground pound through an entire building shattering all the windows on the way down. Users collect peanuts (similar to Bananas in DKC) to create peanut jars which are used as extra lives if you die and Tembo can rescue civilians to increase your score when you exit a level.
The game is coming out exclusively for PS4, Xbox One and PC during the Summer period in the U.S. In an interesting twist, despite both companies having excellent relationships with Nintendo, the game is seemingly skipping both of it’s major consoles in the Wii U and 3DS. You can watch the first trailer for the game below and let us know what you think about this interesting company crossover title in the comments below.
Ever since Onechanbara Z2: Chaos was released in Japan fans of the original game have been hoping that it would be localized in some form and today XSEED Games had some great news for those people. Today the company has announced that Onechanbara Z2: Chaos will be released on the PlayStation 4 in North America where it will be available digitally and physically with a limited run “Banana Split” retail release that will include a soundtrack CD, art book, and a download code for the “Strawberries & Bananas” premium costume.
It is interesting to note that for the first time ever, the game will also feature an English dub to accompany the original Japanese voice track. In Europe it has been announced that NIS America will be handling the publishing of the game where it will also be available digitally and at retail. You can check out the announcement trailer below as well as some new English screenshots.
If you liked what NIS America did withToradora!then you’ll be happy to hear that they are once again producing an English dub for one of their licensed anime and this time around it is for the first release of said series. Today NIS America announced that they will be releasing P.A. Works’ Nagi no Asukara in North America under the name A Lull in the Sea and when it is released the series will feature both the original Japanese voice track as well as a newly recorded English dub.
The entire 26 episode series will be included in a single 3 Blu-ray disc Premium Edition that will be released on June 30th for $179.99 with the set including a two disc soundtrack, a 76 page art book, trailers, and clean opening and ending themes.
As you may have heard, Atlus has been working on another remake of an older Etrian Odyssey title, this time Etrian Odyssey 2, and today Atlus USA announced that they are going to be bringing this remake over to North America this summer for $49.99 on the Nintendo 3DS where it will be available at retail and digitally.
Titled Etrian Odyssey Untold 2: The Fafnir Knight, puts players into the boots of the Fafnir Knight, the childhood friend of Princess Arianna of Caledonia, as well as Flavio, the hero of the Midgard Library, set out into the Yggdrasil Labyrinth. Etrian Odyssey Untold 2: The Fafnir Knight features a fixed party system as well as all of the upgrades that were made to the previous Untold title including difficulties ranging from Picnic to Expert.
