Battlefield Hardline Launches in Australia

EA and Visceral Games launched the thirteenth instalment of the long running Battlefield franchise in Australia today. Battlefield: Hardline takes the war franchise to the mean streets of Miami and Los Angeles, as police are locked in battle against the criminal elements that inhabit the underworld.

The single campaign is inspired by TV police shows and includes a star studded cast featuring the likes of Kelly Hu (Arrow), Wendy Calhoun (Justified), and Benito Martinez (House of Cards). The multiplayer mode adds some new cops and robbers themed game modes like Hotwire and Heist to old mainstays like Conquest.

Battlefield: Hardline is available now on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows in Australia. The New Zealand launch will be on March 20, 2015.

To celebrate the launch, EA released several new screenshots of Battlefield: Hardline and some concept art for the multiplayer portion of the game.

Senki Zesshō Symphogear GX Announced for July; Teaser Trailer Released

Late last year we learned that a third season of Senki Zesshō Symphogear was in the works and now new details, including when the new anime season will air and what it will be titled have been released. Senki Zesshō Symphogear GX, as it is now called, will premiere sometime in July and feature the return of all of the previous characters with the likes of Maria, Shirabe, and Kirika appearing to be allies this time around as the above art shows a few design changes to their Gear forms.

Danganronpa Murder Mystery Event to be held at Anime Conji

Happen to be a big fan of Danganronpa and plan on attending Anime Conji on April 4th? Well then we have some rather surprising news for you. NIS America has announced that they are partnering with the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation to bring the Danganronpa Murder Mystery to the event. This event mirrors the themes of the mystery game series and will feature attendees searching through the Sheraton Hotel in San Diego, CA for clues while also using their wits to figure out which cosplayer from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is the blackened (murderer).

On Saturday, April 4, 2015, this event will start at 10 A.M. with an introduction video, and conclude at 6 P.M. with a class trial where participants can use truth bullets that are scattered throughout the convention center by writing or taking a photo of the clue. New Awakened Fate Ultimatum Angel Form and Devil Form Trailers Released

Are you willing to choose the fate of two girls who have saved your life? Well you will now be able to do so as NIS America‘s The Awakened Fate Ultimatum is currently available for purchase in North America, both digitally and at retail, and will be released in Europe on March 20th.

For those who haven’t been following the game, The Awakened Fate Ultimatum follows the story of a human boy who is traveling home from school only to be stabbed in the heart by a group of devils. He is saved by a mysterious girl with the “Fate Awakening Crystal” and finds himself in the land of Celestia where he finds himself in the middle of a war between angels and devils and ultimately it will be up to him to harness his new abilities and choose who to save.

Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed Screenshots Run the Gauntlet

Idea Factory International has released a new batch of English screenshots for Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed with the focus being on the Gamindustri Gauntlet, a mode where players can select from one of eighteen fighters, including the CPUs, CPU Candidates, their HDD transformations, Dengekiko, and Famitsu, to battle against one another in a tournament to prove who is the strongest. If you happen to win the gauntlet, you will unlock special accessories.

Bladestorm: Nightmare now Available in North America

Fans looking for something a little different from Koei Tecmo can now pick up Bladestorm: Nightmare in North America for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and digitally on the PlayStation 3. Bladestorm: Nightmare is a troop command action title that takes place during the Hundred Years War era as players choose to fight for either England or France.

While this is a remake of the original release, Bladestorm: Nightmare not only features updated mechanics but also an entirely new Nightmare mode where the Hundred Years War is interrupted by a horde of creatures led by an evil form of Joan of Arc. England and France must join forces to face off against these strange foes made up of demons, dragons, and more.

The Elder Scrolls Online now Subscription Free on PC

You may remember that at the start of this year, Bethesda and Zenimax announced that The Elder Scrolls Online would be re-branded as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on March 17th for PC owners. Well now that that day has come and gone, The Elder Scrolls Online is now a subscription free game.

This means that after buying the game, players will no longer need to pay anything extra to play online unless they choose to partake in the game’s “Crown Store” or set up a premium membership. It is worth noting that The Elder Scrolls Online will remain subscription free even when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are released on June 9th.

Ponycan USA Details ‘Yuki Yuna is a Hero’ Collector’s Edition 2 and Pre-order Bonus

Ponycan USA has just revealed the details of the second collector’s edition release of the Yuki Yuna is a Hero anime.

The Reject Demon: Toko Added to Steam Greenlight

Lupiesoft, best known for their upcoming game Dizzy Hearts and the adult visual novel The Menagerie, has announced that they are teaming up with Sekai Project to try and get an episodic visual novel called The Reject Demon: Toko onto Steam through Steam Greenlight. The Reject Demon: Toko was initially conceived during a game jam back in 2014 and since then Lupiesoft has been working on expanding the universe and now they want to release the whole story on PC, Mac, and Linux.

The story will be told through a kinetic visual novel style over the course of four chapters, which will feature updated sprites, cg, background music, and story compared to what was originally shown. You can vote for The Reject Demon: Toko on Steam Greenlight, as well as read more about it, here.

As for what the visual novel is about, Lupiesoft has provided a story description which can be found below:

When a human is destined to die, the demons ferry their souls to the afterlife. ‘The Reject Demon: Toko‘ is the story of Toko herself, a demon who has been kicked out of hell. Toko cannot ferry human souls to the underworld, and every day she stays on earth has her becoming increasingly human. Her troubles, however, are only just beginning.
Toko, after being taken in by the jubilant human Nadia, is being hunted by her past alongside her own internal challenges. The Reject Demon: Toko is about comedy, action, romance, and Hell’s sacred art of Rock n’ Roll!

Ponycan USA Reveals ‘Denki-Gai’ Collector’s Edition 2 and Pre-order Bonus

Ponycan USA has just revealed the details of their second Denki-Gai release. The series is known in Japan as Denki-Gai no Honya-san.

Denki-Gai Collector’s Edition 2, featuring episodes 5-8, will be released on May 10, 2015. As with the first set, which is set to be released on April 10, 2015, this set will be a DVD and Blu-ray combo-pack and will contain a special character song CD. “Denki Songs 2” will feature performances by Sensei, Fu Girl, Tsumorin, Kantoku and Sommelier, and will include karaoke versions of the songs.
