Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Announced for the Playstation 4

everybodys-gone-to-the-rapture-01

What an interesting title. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture was recently announce via Sony, and is already turning heads and garnering attention. Developer the Chinese Room (Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs) are bringing us a title that takes place 31 years after the world ends.

Players will follow six souls and find out just how the extinction occurred. What a fascinating premise. Right now we only have a teaser, but get ready as Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture hits the Playstation 4 on August 11th. No better to end the summer than a nice apocalypse, I’d say. shadow-warrior-2-screenshot-001

Shadow Warrior is still possibly one of my favourite video game reboots in the past couple years. Today, Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog announced that Shadow Warrior 2 is in development. Gamers will get their first look at gameplay footage during a live stream on Monday June 15th at 12:30 PM PST at Twitch’s official E3 2015 coverage.

Shadow Warrior 2 will be adding online four player co-op. The announcement trailer features two extra ninjas that will join Lo Wang on his journeys. The levels will be procedurally generated and come packed with lots of loot.

The single-player campaign is set five years after the events of the first game. The world is now inhabited by both humans and demons, while Lo Wang lives in self-imposed exile. Wang is taking the odd job as a mercenary to make ends meet, but his world is about to get more exciting after a mission goes horribly wrong.

Shadow Warrior 2 is set to launch sometime in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Even though fans of Senran Kagura likely knew this announcement was coming, they didn’t know when to expect it but thankfully they didn’t have to wait too long. XSEED Games has announced that they are planning on releasing Senran Kagura: Estival Versus in North America sometime this winter for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus features the biggest roster in the history of the series as all previous shinobi return as playable characters with a number of upgraded moves while a few brand new characters have been added into the mix to cause confusion amongst the core cast as they encounter departed loved ones and ultimately have to decide if they can bear to part from them a second time.

New Act of Aggression Trailer Introduces the Chimera Faction

Focus Home Interactive and Eugen Systems released a new trailer for their upcoming RTS Act of Aggression. It is the second in a three part series introducing gamers to the game’s three factions. The first trailer covered the powerful but inflexible US Army.

This week’s trailer features the yin to the US Army’s yang, Chimera. Where the US Army is like a giant double-axe swinging barbarian charging into battle, the Chimera is more like a nimble drunken kung-fu master. Chimera is a multi-national task force funded by the United Nations that is a highly flexible jack of all trades.

They can churn out units quickly and change their strategy on a drop of a dime, as long as they have access to large amounts of cash. Their military might is mainly focused on cheap infantry units that can be upgraded with powerful exoskeletons and tons of UAVs in all shapes and sizes. Act of Aggression is set to launch on PC this September.

Sophie Monk Takes Us to Tamriel in Latest The Elder Scrolls Online Trailer

the-elder-scrolls-online-sophie-monk-01

This is a simple trailer to promote The Elder Scrolls Online, but damn if it isn’t quite the charmer. Bethesda down under recently got together with Sophie Monk and shot an advertisement dubbed “Escape to Tamriel with Sophie Monk”, basically explaining all of the features of The Elder Scrolls Online in a couple minutes.

Sure, its a bit cheesey, but definitely worth the watch and it also will make you want to give this free-to-play MMO a try if you haven’t already to explore Tamriel all over again. Check out the clip below and you can pick of The Elder Scrolls Online for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One as of this week.

Devil’s Third Dated for Australia and Europe; New Screenshots and Art Revealed

devils-third-logo-01

Devil’s Third is one of Nintendo’s bizarre pick-ups that is just too unique not to be on the Wii U. The military thriller is odd, but is sure to strike a chord to the same audience that received Bayonetta 2 and some of the once-exclusive Japanese titles that we have been begging for, but are just now receiving. Today, a release date was confirmed for Europe and Australia, putting the official street date at August 28th for Europe and just a day later for Australia and New Zealand.

devils-third-screenshot-01

Here are some more details about the plot and what to expect from the online multiplayer:

At the heart of the single-player campaign is Ivan, a former mercenary let loose from his incarceration to right the wrongs of his past and take down a shadowy terrorist group he once belonged to. With the world’s satellites and electrical weaponry having been wiped out, and warfare once again reduced to close combat between soldiers, Ivan must use a colourful array of weaponry to shoot, hack and bludgeon his way through any foe standing in the way of his attempt at redemption. With fast-paced combat and bone-crunching finishing moves galore, a day in the life of Ivan is anything but ordinary…

The game’s online multiplayer mode, meanwhile, offers up a grim future whereby the terrorists have won, and chaos reigns supreme. As an ordinary citizen, you can join a clan and help reclaim the United States by forming allegiances with other factions, or go all-out as a mercenary and endlessly assault other player’s bases, opting for anarchy over clan diplomacy! But at the heart of the online play is the ability to customise your base alongside other members of your clan, with successful battling resulting in rewards that can be used to improve your defences. With constant assaults from other clans, you’ll have to be on your toes to defend your territory.

Unique and mystical are definitely two terms that perfectly fit with Vahalla Game Studios’ latest. Check out the screens and art below, and mark your calenders appropriately for Devil’s Third to hack and slash on your Wii U.

Play More Games With New Xbox One

XboxOne-1TB-Console

From when it was first announced as having a 500GB Hard Drive, many people thought that the Xbox One would be very easy to fill up with games. Well, those people who were anxious about that weren’t exactly wrong, I know I personally have had to delete games on more than one occasion just to make room for new ones as they release. This is especially a problem if you are the type of gamer that likes to download their games.

Xbox-Wireless-Adapter-for-Windows

Well, people who purchase Xbox One consoles from June 24th will no longer have to worry about that problem (as much). Microsoft are releasing a new version of the Xbox One, and one that comes with a 1TB HDD, perfect for all your gaming needs. The new version of the console also comes with a new controller that will give fans the ability to plug 3.mm headphones right into it! The new console will have an RRP of $549.99 and will be available from just about any retailer you can think of come June 24th.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Announced for Western Release

the-legend-of-heroes-trails-of-cold-steel-logo

Some said that it couldn’t be done but it appears that XSEED Games is taking on the impossible as they have announced that they will be releasing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, also known as Sen no Kiseki, in North America and Europe this fall season. In fact, the company even went so far to confirm that they are also planning on releasing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II in the West, though they have yet to release any details other than that they are working on it.

Originally released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, fans in the West have eagerly waited to hear of Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel being localized but until now many thought that the game would simply be too massive of an undertaking. The title will feature a storyline that both Trails veterans and newcomers alike will be able to enjoy as it tells a standalone story that delves into the expansive lore that has become synonymous with the series.

Players will take on the role of military students at a time of great turmoil, enjoying school life and bonding with fellow students to earn new abilities in battle, then utilizing those abilities via speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system. At release, players will be able to take advantage of cross-save functionality between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game so they can take the story on the go.
