Fruit Attacks Invades iOS, Android, and Amazon Devices Today

Take a Bite out of the Extraterrestrial Fruitageddon Today with Fruit Attacks

SEATTLE — July 30, 2015 — En Masse Entertainment, publisher of TERA — one of the most-played MMORPGs on Steam — today announced the release of its first mobile title: Fruit Attacks. Available free on iOS, Android, and Amazon Kindle Fire devices across North America and Europe, Fruit Attacks finds players defending Earth from an incoming fruit invasion. Featuring a unique “hook-shot” mechanic, Fruit Attacks offers a refreshing take on the traditional arcade shooter.

Fruit has never been so rotten! Stop the incoming fruitageddon by battling waves of angry strawberries, apples, bananas and other fruit as they descend upon Earth with a vengeance. With an intuitive two-finger control system, players can easily take rapid shots or test their skills with more advanced arcing hook shots. Shaking the device also adds special full-screen attacks to help seize victory when the invasion intensifies with stronger and more challenging enemies, including giant fruit bosses. By learning to vary strategies on the fly, players will crush hordes of enemies into fruit juice as they master powerful combos, timed attack levels, defense-mode stages, and boss battles.

Players start with a single hero in early battles, but may eventually acquire six different heroes and dozens of minions that provide unique powers and abilities. Players can earn, combine, and utilize a wide variety of bonuses — including minion options and power-ups — to build customized teams to suit their personal play styles. With 180 total stages across three episodes and two game modes, plus frequent updates coming in the future, Fruit Attacks will challenge fans with its tasty and delicious offerings.

Fruit Attacks will be free-to-download on the App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon App Store on July 30. For more information please visit the official Fruit Attacks product page.

KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF TACTICAL ACTION TITLE BASED ON RENOWNED ANIME AND MANGA EPIC!

KOEI TECMO ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF TACTICAL ACTION TITLE BASED ON RENOWNED ANIME AND MANGA EPIC!

Title to be released across Europe in early 2016!

Hertfordshire, 30th July 2015- Koei Tecmo Europe is delighted to announce today the upcoming release of Arslan: the Warriors of Legend, a tactical action title based on the epic novel, manga, and anime IP ‘The Heroic Legend of Arslan’.

Originally written as a novella in the late 1980’s, the Heroic Legend of Arslan has been adapted to manga and anime numerous times, with the most prominent being the 2013 release of a manga series by famed illustrator Hiromu Arakawa (the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist). It tells the story of the young crown prince of Pars, Arslan, as he is forced out of his kingdom when his father, the king, is betrayed and defeated and his domain conquered. Arslan and his few companions must re-assemble an army and fight against overwhelming odds to regain his throne and liberate his kingdom. Through his exploits he reaches emotional maturity, while the series also tackles underlying issues of slavery, religious fanaticism, betrayal, and humanity.

The game adaptation of this magnificent story seamlessly blends the fast paced tactical action gameplay indicative of the Warriors franchise with a stunningly engaging narrative. Using cell-shaded graphics and basing all character design on the anime series Arslan: The Warriors of Legend delivers a gaming experience designed to fully immerse the player into Arslan’s universe!

The game is currently slated to be released in early 2016 in Europe, on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. It will also be simultaneously available digitally on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

To celebrate the announcement of this exciting new title, Koei Tecmo has released a wealth of assets, including key art, screenshots, and a promotional trailer. The asset batch focuses on the first playable characters announced:

Arslan: The young prince of the kingdom of Pars

Daryun: A skilled commander of the Pars cavalry

Narsus: A extremely capable strategist, and

Elam: Narsus’s squire

As well as two of the stages where Arslan’s drama will unfold: The plains of Atropatene and the capital city of Ecbatana!

Warhammer 40,000: Regicide Release Date Announced

Warhammer 40000: Regicide, Hammerfall Publishing’s 40k take on chess, has announced it will be achieving a full game release on the 26th of August of this year! The game has been in early access since earlier this year and I was given the chance to form a premature opinion of the game in its early form.

In my preview of the game, I noted that there wasn’t too much to experience in the title as it was still largely unfinished but it did prove to be a strong statement-of-intent to show that Regicide would not just be a 40k reskin of a simple chess game.

The turn-based strategy game’s full release will feature a 50-mission story-driven campaign, a full-tier upgrade system for units, and a fully unlocked armoury for players to take into each of their games. As for the stories campaign, the devs have released a small snippets of the campaign’s backstory:

The frontier worlds of the Sargos Sector are no strangers to conflict. Once wracked by warp-anomalies and inhabited by adversarial forces, it was only placed under the heel of Imperial authority two thousand years ago. The capital world of Hethgar Prime was established and settled. Rich in resources, it occupied a strategic location and was well fortified. Regiments were raised on Hethgar to safeguard nearby worlds from aggression.

In two millennia, however, no dire threat approached them. Mankind flourished in relative peace. Much of the system’s military resources were eventually exported to aid in greater conflicts elsewhere. The garrison was spread thin. The great guns that aimed to the skies were largely unmanned.

When alien eyes once again fell upon the Imperial jewel of Hethgar and thought to take it for themselves there was little to stop them. As the skies fell in upon them, it was all the people of Hethgar could do to pray for deliverance. Any resistance was swiftly crushed by the invading forces.

But the final prayers of Hethgar were heard. From far across the blackness of space, Angels took heed of their plight.

They would arrive too late for salvation, but vengeance in the Emperor’s name is never overdue…

There’s no hint of greater dangers and mystery beneath the surface (as the campaign trailer did) but we’ll see exactly how things shape up in the coming month when the full release is upon us.

New Info and Screenshots for Little Battlers eXperience

LEVEL-5, the developers of the Professor Layton and Inazuma 11 games are bringing their anime and toy-based pint-sized robot batting series Little Battlers to the Nintendo 3DS with Little Battlers eXperience.

Following the anime (unlike some of the other Japanese-only games in the series), the story places you in control of Van Yamano, who must save the world and collect a bunch of tiny robot parts in the process! As you progress through the story, you will collect over 150 models of palm-sized robot and over 4000 pieces of equipment with which to customize them. Think Pokémon meets Medabots or Zoids and you have a fair idea of what’s going on.

When in battles, (which can be for upwards of 6 players locally) you will take control of your Little Battler and try to fell your enemies in combat in one of the game’s Battle Boxes – dioramas that have entire worlds for you to battle through. With all the battler models and equipment to find and try out, you will no doubt be able to find a load-out that suits you and your play style the best.

Here’s the Lego Dimensions Story Trailer

lego-dimensions-screenshot-14

Lego Dimensions is one of the highly anticipated “toys to life” games being released this year, and Warner Bros. and TT Games haven’t been shy with showing off the properties that they have available to them. However, one thing has remained relatively obscure; what will the game’s storyline actually be.

Well, Warner Bros. have finally lifted the lid on what our tiny, bricked heroes will be doing in Lego Dimensions, and they have done so through a slick new trailer that shows off Batman, Wildstyle, Gandalf and the rest of the Dimensions crew in action.

Check out the trailer below and remember that Lego Dimensions is set for release on September 28th, so make sure you stay tuned till then for all the awesome blocky news as it becomes available.

You may remember that an enhanced version of the classic RPG Grandia II had been announced for release on the PC. Unfortunately since that announcement back in May, GungHo Online Entertainment has been a bit quiet about when fans can expect Grandia II HD Edition to be released.

That changed recently when the publisher confirmed with GameSpot that the title will be released on PC through GOG.com and Steam. This release will occur sometime in 2015 and will feature some minor updates to the game’s visuals, a new harder difficulty level, gamepad support, and both the original English voice track and the original Japanese voice track.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night Hatsune Miku DLC Announced

Persona-4-Dancing-All-Night-hatsune-miku-screenshot-003

Considering Atlus and Sega’s close connections now, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Atlus’ rhythm game, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, would eventually have a little crossover with Sega’s own signature musical character Hatsune Miku.

Recently it was announced that in mid-August Hatsune Miku will be added to Persona 4: Dancing All Night where she will be used in one song “Heaven feat. Hatsune Miku (ATOLS Remix)” which is a remixed version of the Persona 4 dungeon song that is now being performed by Miku. No price point for this song has been released as of yet but you can check out how Hatsune Miku will look in the game with the screenshots below.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Release Date and Launch Bonus Announced

Earlier this year Sega announced that they would be bringing Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax over to the West and today the company decided to announce exactly when fans can expect to see Kirito be destroyed by Misaka Mikoto.

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on October 6th in the West and those who happen to pre-order or pick up an early retail launch copy of either version of the game in North and South America will also receive a soundtrack CD featuring songs from notable Sega composers, including Teruhiko Nakagawa, Naofumi Hataya, Kenichi Tokoi, Jun Senoue, and others.
