Previously Lupiesoft was planning on releasing their first adult visual novel The Menagerie on September 18th but recently the developer has announced that the project has been delayed a couple of weeks. They have explained that the delay is in order to ensure that the final product “meets a level of polish that Studio Lupiesoft aspires to” by taking the extra time to playtest the final build. The current release date is now set for October 2nd, however the developer did state that this delay will not affect their other PC projects, StarGazers and Dizzy Hearts.

It is worth noting that anyone who has pre-ordered The Menagerie will also be given a free digital download for the game’s soundtrack while others can download the soundtrack for $3 here.

It is worth noting that the developers have stated that only the top nine characters will be included in the game’s release and while the final announcements will be made at Tokyo Game Show later this month, they have given us an early sampling of the poll with the newcomer Marie Rose taking the top of the list.

While Marie Rose certainly brings some variety to the game, I can’t quite imagine a Dead or Alive Xtreme game without Tina in it and currently she is falling below the cut-off point as you can tell in the infographic below.
