Gearbox Releases First Look at Battleborn PvP with a new Trailer

Gearbox Software and 2K pulled back the curtains on Battleborn’s competitive multiplayer mode at Paris Games Week, just ahead of the closed technical beta that kicks off this Friday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. The new gameplay trailer features plenty of action and gives viewers a quick and dirty look at the 5 vs 5 competitive multiplayer.

Battleborn will ship with three competitive modes. Capture is a classic domination style mode, while Meltdown will see players guarding minions as they attempt to toss themselves into the incinerator at the middle of the map, and finally Incursion is a FPS take on the classic MOBA game mode that sees players and minions simultaneously attacking the enemy base while defending their own. A new character was also announced at Paris Games Week. ISIC is a spirit-mech that has crashed reality itself, a pretty disturbing thought if you ask me.

Battleborn launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows on February 9, 2016.

This trailer includes both cinematic footage as well as gameplay footage showing off previously revealed Hero characters as well as Leia, Han, Palpatine, and even Boba Fett who just barely avoids falling into a sarlacc pit once more and even mentions that he won’t be falling for that again.

During Sony‘s Paris Games Week press conference Guerilla Games debuted an eight minute long gameplay demo for Horizon: Zero Dawn. We have seen very little of Horizon: Zero Dawn ever since it was announced back at E3 but they did show a number of press members a gameplay demo and that is the same footage they have released today and you can check out below.

This footage shows off some of the game’s environments, exploration, and a bit of combat but for now the game’s story remains a mystery. Currently Horizon: Zero Dawn is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 sometime in 2016.

Tekken-7-lucky-chloe-reveal- (4)

In an age where even the most niche fighting games are given retail releases, and a bit of a leak earlier this year, it was only a matter of time before Tekken 7 was officially announced for release on home consoles and that time came earlier today when Bandai Namco announced, alongside a new trailer, that they will be releasing Tekken 7 on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It is worth noting that the developers have stated that the PlayStation 4 version of Tekken 7 will feature exclusive content and support PlayStation VR in some way though no details were given at the announcement.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2 ‘Assembly Required’ Stealth Released Today

minecraft-story-mode-assembly-required-screenshot-001

For quite some time now Telltale Games has been pretty confident about announcing their episodic release dates at least a week or two beforehand but back when they started these type of releases they had an odd habit of releasing a new episode with no fanfare. Well, it looks like they are going back to their old ways a bit as the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, Assembly Required, was released today with barely any announcement until shortly after users found the game available for download.

Considering the “season pass disc” retail edition released today it probably was done so that those who picked up that version would find at least two episodes to play at the start. Either way, this fast turnaround on episodes is a pleasant surprise and you can find out the launch trailer for Assembly Required below.
