UBISOFT® PARTNERS WITH THE MOUVEMENT INTERNATIONAL DU PARKOUR, FREERUNNING ET L’ART DU DÉPLACEMENT AT YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES

Lillehammer – 18 February 2016 – Ubisoft and the Mouvement International du Parkour, Freerunning et l’Art Du Déplacement (known as The Mouvement) have announced that they are teaming up to promote parkour at the Youth Olympic Games.

Ubisoft’s support has enabled The Mouvement to send coaches and performers to the Lillehammer 2016 Sjoggfest, the sport and culture festival of the Youth Olympic Games currently taking place in Norway. In Lillehammer, The Mouvement is providing showcases and Get Active sessions, both indoors and out on the snow and ice.

“The Mouvement is determined to help establish a positive relationship between gaming and physical practice. Ubisoft has a great track record of promoting parkour not just in gameplay but also for physical play, notably with the Assassin’s Creed® Experience obstacle courses at the San Diego Comic Con for the past two years,” said Mouvement founding member Charles Perrière, “As we demonstrate and teach parkour at the Youth Olympic Games, we are grateful to be doing so with Ubisoft’s help.”

“Ubisoft is delighted to support The Mouvement as they develop their sport,” said Stephanie Magnier, vice president of global communications for Ubisoft. . “Assassin’s Creed was one of the first video games to bring the physical movements they created into the lives of millions of people, and we are thrilled to see The Mouvement bringing the fun and challenge of this sport to the kids in Lillehammer by inviting them to try it for themselves.”

“The founders of The Mouvement brought a fresh philosophy of freedom of movement into the world. It’s been an inspiration to us since we created the first Assassin’s Creed game” said Etienne Allonier, brand director at Ubisoft. “At Ubisoft and with Assassin’s Creed we share many of parkour’s core values of overcoming challenges, encouraging people to find their own path through the real world and of course having fun! We’re humbled to be able to give back to a sport that has inspired us so much and to help The Mouvement bring their message and sport to the young people attending the Youth Olympics.”

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FIGHTS HAS A NEW ENTRY— NITROPLUS BLASTERZ: HEROINES INFINITE DUEL FOR PS4™ AND PS3™ TO ENTER THE RING

XSEED Games’ Newest 2D Fighter to Make Limited Appearance at Level Up’s 2016 Tournament Season Kick-Off on February 17

XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that it has been invited to participate at the Level Up Wednesday Night Fight Tournament Season beginning on February 17th with its recently launched 2D crossover fighter on PS4™ and PS3™, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel. The event will be held at the Level Up eSports Arena in Southern California, with casual play beginning at 7:00 PM PST.

About Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel:

With easy-to-execute combos, cinematic cut-ins on “Lethal Blaze” attacks that run the gamut from awe-inspiring to adorable, and assist mechanics that allow for up to six on-screen characters at a time, combat in Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel is guaranteed to stay fast and flashy. The game is populated by numerous heroines from the visual novel company Nitroplus’ rich collection of IPs, including playable characters Ein, Mora, Ruili, Al Azif, Saya, Ignis, Anna, Muramasa the 3rd, Kibanohara Ethica, Saber, and Ouka, as well as fan favorite mascot character Super Sonico. Players can also test how their skills stack up online against one another via network play, with full cross-play compatibility on offer between PS4™ and PS3™ system users.

After selecting a main character, players will duke it out while charging up the abilities of their two chosen partners, who – once called into the fight – will contribute with battle damage and various other effects. As the combatants exchange blows, their Power Gauges build at the bottom of the screen. Filling this gauge meter by meter, up to a maximum of three, allows players to gain access to devastating abilities, including character-specific super moves and a massively powerful “Lethal Blaze” attack that deals incredible damage but depletes all three meters.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel also features an innovative “Blast” system, which provides players with the option to use one of three special tide-turning maneuvers once per round, such as creating distance between the player character and her opponent, breaking an opponent’s combo, and extending a player’s combo beyond normal limits. Additionally, a player’s health and meters both begin regenerating once the Blast state has been activated.

Published in North America by XSEED Games, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel is now available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 systems.  The game carries a suggested retail price of $39.99 on the PS4™ system for both the physical and digital release, while the PS3™ system version is available exclusively on the PlayStation®Store at $29.99. This title has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB. XSEED Games is offering the game’s two DLC characters, Homura (from the SENRAN KAGURA series) and Aino Heart (from the Arcana Heart series), free of charge on the PlayStation®Store until March 1, 2016. After this time, these DLC characters will be available for purchase at $5.99 each, or together in a set for $9.99.

PREREGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR MiiTOMO, NINTENDO’S FIRST SMART DEVICE APP LAUNCHING IN MARCH

PREREGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR MiiTOMO, NINTENDO’S FIRST SMART DEVICE APP LAUNCHING IN MARCH

Create Nintendo Account Before Launch Day and Receive My Nintendo Platinum Points

17th  February 2016
Nintendo’s first-ever app for smart devices, Miitomo, launches next month, but now’s the time to sign up to receive a notification when the app is available for download. From now through launch day, anyone can preregister for Miitomo by signing up for the new Nintendo Account service at https://www.miitomo.com/ and be among the first to get in on the fun when Miitomo launches in March. Those who create their Nintendo Account before the launch of Miitomo will also receive Platinum Points for the new My Nintendo rewards programme, which will launch simultaneously with Miitomo.

Miitomo is a free-to-start social experience that uses Nintendo’s Mii characters and lets you spark conversations with your friends in a whole new way, which first debuted with the launch of Wii Sports in 2006. More than 200 million Mii characters exist across Nintendo systems worldwide. To get started, users can quickly create a Mii character to act as their social go-between, customising its facial features, eyes, hair, as well as voice and personality. Users can also use the camera of their smartphone or tablet to snap a photo that will be translated into Mii form, or they can simply import their Mii from the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS systems using a QR Code.

Once their Mii is ready, users can add friends in person, or through their existing Facebook or Twitter accounts. After that step is complete, it’s time to answer some questions. Miitomo creates conversations and turns discussions into a form of play by prompting users to answer all kinds of questions. Did you know that your best friend’s favourite food is pizza?  Maybe, but did you know her favourite music genre is secretly polka? And that she believes in aliens? The answers get shared among friends, sparking interesting conversations – part of the fun is discovering surprising facts about your friends that you never knew before. When users hear how their friends responded to questions, they can give it a heart or a comment, either through text or with a picture.

Mii characters will travel around and visit others that users have added as friends in the app, so it’s important to look good. Users can set their own style with shorts, pants, socks, shirts, shoes, accessories, hats and more. If they want to go further in expressing themselves, they can even dress up in a variety of outlandish costumes, such as a bear costume, pirate costume, hot dog costume and more. As users experience Miitomo, they’ll earn Miitomo coins, which can be redeemed in the in-app shop to get all kinds of varied and interesting outfits. There is also the option to get more Miitomo coins via in-app purchases.

And if that’s not enough, users can try out the Miifoto feature, which lets them put their Mii characters in fun poses and use cool stamps, or combine their Mii image with photos they have taken themselves. These creations can then easily be posted to social media services like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Launching alongside Miitomo in March, My Nintendo aims to become much more than a traditional rewards program. It is a more comprehensive service that rewards users for interacting with Nintendo products and services in a variety of ways. Miitomo users with a Nintendo Account will be able to take advantage of My Nintendo to enhance their experience.
