As usual, Ubisoft has put together a huge E3 press conference this year. We were treated to a mix of brand new announcements, updates for released titles, and some new information for previously announced games.

Watch Dogs 2

Ubisoft announced the release date for Watch Dogs 2 at the show. Gamers will be able to get their hands on the game on November 15, 2016. Those with PlayStation 4s will be able to benefit from early access to all Watch Dogs 2 DLC. Additionally, Ubisoft has released two new videos for the game.

Of course, no E3 presentation would be complete without a lengthy gameplay video:

South Park: The Fractured but Whole

The surprisingly good South Park: The Sick Stick of Truth will be getting a sequel that launches on December 6, 2016. South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Check out the excellent cinematic trailer:

For Honor

Trials of the Blood Dragon

The next Trials game is out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a digital download. Trials of the Blood Dragon continues the crazy 80s theme started by Far Cry Blood Dragon.

The new 80s inspired trailer is probably the most awesome video to be released at E3 2016:

Grow Up

The follow up to the critically acclaimed adventure Grow Home has been announced. Grow Up will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in August 2016.

In single player, gamers will take on the role of Captain, while all positions are up for grabs in co-op.

Capcom has announced that they are working on a brand new type of game for the Resident Evil series in the form of Resident Evil 7: biohazard. Announced during the Sony E3 2016 press conference, Resident Evil 7: biohazard is being developed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will be released on January 24, 2017. To go along with this news the company announced that a demo called “Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour” will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers tonight.

This demo will be playable using the basic controller but will also be fully compatible with PlayStation VR when it launches and it appears that the full game might be played entirely in first person. Resident Evil 7: biohazard is being developed using a brand new in-house engine and takes place after the events of Resident Evil 6 and takes place in modern day revolving around a foreboding, derelict plantation mansion in rural America. Players must explore and “survive the horrors within the mysterious, sprawling estate.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda Protagonist’s Last Name is Ryder

Mass-Effect-Andromeda-screenshot-009

You may remember that throughout the entire trilogy of Mass Effect players took control of Commander Shepard. No matter which gender you selected or the first name you chose to use, the character would always be referred to as Shepard. Now with Mass Effect: Andromeda moving away from the original trilogy many have wondered just what the next protagonist will be called. Well it seems that the producer of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Michael Gamble, decided to provide that news through a simple message revealing that the new protagonist will have the last name of Ryder.

At the moment very little is known about what Ryder’s journey will entail but EA is currently aiming to have Mass Effect: Andromeda released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2017.

Steep, an Open-World Action Sports Game, Announced for December Release

steep-screenshot- (9)

One of the more interesting announcements that Ubisoft made during their E3 2016 presentation came in the form of an action sports game that will take place in an open world set in the Alps. The title is called Steep and it will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime in December. Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, Steep drops players onto the peaks of mountains, with exhilarating experiences that include skiing, wingsuiting, snowboarding, and paragliding.

These sports establish an incredible level of freedom to explore the game’s open world, allowing players to choose the way they travel and play. Steep’s vast playground offers a wide range of activities that give players the opportunity to discover, compete, pull off crazy stunts, and more. Players can meet with friends from all over the world to create unique and memorable moments.

In Steep, players can use the innovative trail feature to relive their most inspiring rides and trailblazing achievements, and share them on social networks with friends. Along with sharing ride replays, players can also use this feature to challenge friends to outrace them on a shared path, create epic stunts or set out to discover the massive mountain playground.

Polaris architecture-based graphics cards to deliver premium engineering for unprecedented performance, extraordinary VR experiences and future-proof technologies1

E3 2016, LOS ANGELES, Calif. — June 13, 2016 — Today at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) CEO Lisa Su delivered a pre-launch showcase of the full line of forthcoming Radeon™ RX Series graphics cards set to transform PC gaming this summer by delivering enthusiast class performance and features for gamers at mainstream price points. AMD previously showcased the Radeon™ RX 480 graphics card, designed for incredibly smooth AAA gaming at 1440p resolution and set to be the most affordable solution for premium VR experiences starting at just $199 USD SEP for the 4GB version. Joining the Radeon RX family are the newly announced Radeon™ RX 470 graphics card delivering refined, power-efficient HD gaming, and the Radeon™ RX 460, a cool and efficient solution for the ultimate e-sports gaming experience.

The Radeon™ RX Series of graphics processors are designed to transform the PC gaming industry across a variety of form factors, delivering on three fundamental “entitlements” for gamers and game developers:

•    Console-class GPU performance for thin and light notebooks – Gaming notebooks have traditionally been large and cumbersome or under-powered for today’s gaming needs. “Gamers and consumers today are being left behind,” said Raja Koduri, senior vice president and chief architect, Radeon Technologies Group, AMD. “Today only the top 16 percent of PC gamers are purchasing GPUs that deliver premium VR and Gaming experiences.2 Hundreds of millions of gamers have been relegated to using outdated technology. Notebook gamers are often forced to compromise. And tens of millions more can only read about incredible PC VR experiences that they can’t enjoy for themselves. That all changes with the Radeon™ RX Series, placing compelling and advanced high-end gaming and VR technologies within reach of everyone.”

Gamers in the market for a new graphics card need look no further than the forthcoming Radeon™ RX Series, consisting of:
•    Superior technology engineered for unprecedented performance– The Radeon™ RX Series features the most advanced graphics and gaming technologies ever seen in a GPU priced under $300 USD SEP, delivering cutting-edge engineering to everyday PC gamers and VR consumers. The Radeon™ RX Series harnesses the revolutionary Polaris architecture optimised for the 14nm FinFET process, the most cutting-edge process technology in the world featuring the smallest transistors ever used in a GPU, engineered to deliver unprecedented performance and power efficiency from incredibly small and thin chips.
•    Extraordinary VR experiences never widely affordable before – With models starting at $199 USD SEP, the Radeon™ RX 480 is the most affordable solution for a premium VR experience, supplying the graphics capability necessary to bring high-quality PC VR experiences from Oculus and HTC3 to anyone who wants it.
•    Future-proof technologies1 – The Radeon™ RX Series continues the Radeon™ tradition of innovation, like being first to 14nm FinFET process technology, first in memory types and bandwidth like HBM, and first to support low overhead gaming APIs. Gamers will enjoy these products for a long time to come with a range of “future-proof” benefits including:
o    Leading DirectX® 12 and Vulkan™ gaming – The Polaris architecture-fueled Radeon™ RX Series is built to deliver phenomenal DirectX® 9, DirectX® 10, and DirectX® 11 gaming performance, and designed to absolutely scream in DirectX® 12 and Vulkan™, the future of gaming. Polaris architecture uniquely supports asynchronous compute for superior experiences in games and VR applications using DirectX® 12 and Vulkan™. AMD brings gamers incredible  DirectX® 12 and Vulkan™ game experiences including phenomenal VR content, by collaborating with the top DirectX® 12 and Vulkan™ developers in the world who want to develop on Radeon™ to bring the best games to market.
o    Next-generation display technologies – Radeon™ RX Series includes support for next-generation HDR gaming and video on new HDR monitors and TVs. The Radeon™ RX Series also supports HDMI™ 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.3/1.4 supporting the new generation of high-resolution HDR and high-refresh displays. The Radeon™ RX Series features exceptional accelerated H.265 encoding and decoding, enabling effortless streaming or recording of 10-bit 4K video at 60 FPS4.
o    Radeon Software designed to provide the best performance, features, stability and control – Equally as sophisticated as the Radeon™ RX Series graphics cards is the software that powers them. BUD’S GOING TO THE MOON IN ALL-NEW ACROBATIC ADVENTURE GAME GROW UP

BUD’S GOING TO THE MOON IN ALL-NEW ACROBATIC ADVENTURE GAME GROW UP

Leap, bounce and fly your way – not necessarily in that order – around a lush alien planet

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrPS5Mutoo4

SYDNEY – June 14, 2016 – Today, Ubisoft®, during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), announced Grow Up, a new acrobatic adventure game, and a follow-up of the 2015’s critically acclaimed Grow HomeTM, a title that is a community favourite and was a fan-voted winner of the first ever PlayStation Plus Vote to Play program last year. In Grow Up, players must guide little robot BUD around an entire alien world as he embarks on a dizzying mission that will see him leaping, rolling, bouncing and flying his way through a stunning and virtually boundless new open world. Grow Up will be available digitally worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 Computer Entertainment System and Windows PC in August 2016.

This new adventure comes from a small team at Reflections, a Ubisoft studio, who experimented with procedural animation in Grow Home™ and ended up creating a cute creature named BUD. In Grow Up, while out exploring the galaxy, BUD’s parental spaceship MOM falls to pieces as an unfortunate lunar accident sends her all over the place. Now her ship parts are scattered far and wide across an alien planet so rich in flora and fauna, it would make even the most jaded galactic gardener’s head spin. It’s up to BUD to collect all the parts and get them back to the moon, so he can rebuild MOM and reunite with her once again.

“We wanted to give fans of Grow Home the chance to explore a world where there is no edge, no invisible wall to hit,” said Pete Young, Producer at Reflections, a Ubisoft studio. “We can’t wait for them to join BUD in Grow Up on a fantastical new adventure to the moon.”

Working with new best friend POD, an adorable flying robot who likes planets perhaps a little too much, BUD must use his veritable tool belt of abilities to traverse the planet. Using BUD’s shiny new Floradex, players can put their own stamp on the world by cloning any of the 24 weird and wonderful plant types to catapult, shoot or float through the lush landscape filled with surprise discoveries. With all-new timed challenges, collectibles and abilities, players can tackle their mission head-on or spend time navigating the limitless landscape at their own pace.

CRASH BANDICOOT® IS BACK IN SKYLANDERS® IMAGINATORS AND IN REMASTERED CLASSICS!

CRASH BANDICOOT® IS BACK IN SKYLANDERS® IMAGINATORS AND IN REMASTERED CLASSICS!

Trio of Original Crash Bandicoot Games also to be Remastered in 2017

Starting Today, Fans can Pre-order Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack Featuring Crash Bandicoot at Select Retailers Worldwide!

SYDNEY, Australia. – June 14. 2016 – Celebrating his 20-year anniversary, Crash Bandicoot returns in 2016 as Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), features the pop-culture videogame icon as a guest star in Skylanders® Imaginators. Revealed during the Sony Interactive Entertainment America LLC., (SIEA) E3 Press Conference, Crash Bandicoot maintains his unique and quirky personality both as a fully playable Skylander Sensei character and brand new toy in Skylanders Imaginators.

At the press conference, it was also announced that Activision is bringing back Crash Bandicoot in fully remastered versions of the first three Crash games — Crash Bandicoot®; Crash Bandicoot® 2: Cortex Strikes Back; and Crash Bandicoot®: Warped for PlayStation®4 — planned for a 2017 release.

“For years, we’ve been asked when is Crash returning, and today that question has been answered. Activision is proud to celebrate the iconic character’s 20-year anniversary by bringing him back in ways that will appeal to hardcore fans as well as introduce him to a new generation of gamers,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. “We can’t wait for gamers to see Crash bring his unique style and quirky personality to the epic battle against Kaos in Skylanders Imaginators. And next year, we’ll expand on the Crash experience for players with remastered versions of three classic games.”

Activision is paying homage to the beloved ’90s videogame star in fun new ways with Skylanders Imaginators. No Crash game would be complete without the ability to jump on TNT Crates to blow them up or collect the Bazooka Crate to get a rocket launcher. From his edginess to his trademark wackiness, Crash is featured with a full move set and upgrade path based around his signature spin attack, as well as callbacks to his beloved past, including moves that incorporate exploding crates with 3-2-1 countdowns, wumpa fruit, jetpack attack from high in the air and more.

Crash in Skylanders Imaginators will merge elements fans have come to know and love with Skylanders Imaginators’ newest class of characters: Senseis. In Skylanders Imaginators, every Sensei has a devastating Sky-Chi attack — their most powerful move. Crash’s Sky-Chi attack is the ability to use a yo-yo to yank his enemies into a spin attack!

Famed voice actor Jess Harnell reprises his role as Crash, further ensuring Skylanders Imaginators stays true to the Crash Bandicoot that fans have come to know and love. And that’s just beginning of the attention to detail in Skylanders Imaginators!

Skylanders® Imaginators empowers fans to unleash their imaginations by giving them the freedom to create their own Skylander. Portal Masters will enjoy the immense possibilities  available in the game — including appearance, powers, abilities, names, catchphrases, musical themes and much more — to create the wildest Skylanders imaginable.

With the evil Kaos on a quest to take over Skylands using an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, it’s up to Portal Masters everywhere to use the power of imagination to create their own Skylanders – known as Imaginators – in order to defeat Kaos.  Fighting alongside the Imaginators are the Senseis, powerful mystic warriors who are masters of ancient battle techniques.

In Skylanders Imaginators, a wormhole has opened in Skylands and the great Aku Aku appears!  He comes to announce the once in two decades Synchronization Celebration. It is the time when all of the worlds align perfectly.  They are having a huge celebration event in the Wumpa Islands and want to invite the Skylanders.  But with Kaos on a quest to take over Skylands using his army of Doomlanders, the Skylanders must focus on stopping his evil plans.  Never one to shy away from danger, the legendary marsupial Crash Bandicoot travels through the wormhole to join the Skylanders in the ultimate battle against Kaos!

Developed by Toys For Bob, Skylanders Imaginators supports all 300+ Skylanders from previous games and will launch on October 13, 2016 in Australia and New Zealand. The Skylanders Imaginators Starter Pack Featuring Crash Bandicoot will be available exclusively for PlayStation® 4 and PlayStation® 3 at launch. The Crash toy will be playable across platforms.

The Skylanders Imaginators Crash edition includes Crash Bandicoot as a playable toy, standard Starter Pack characters, a Creation Crystal, Portal of Power®, the full AAA game and more.

About the Skylanders® Franchise

The award-winning, $3 billion Skylanders® franchise has sold through more than 250 million toys1 since pioneering the toys-to-life category in 2011 with the debut of Skylanders® Spyro’s Adventure. The game originated a play pattern that seamlessly bridged physical and virtual worlds across multiple platforms. In 2012, Skylanders® Giants further evolved the genre and added LightCore® characters to the collection of interaction figures. Skylanders® SWAP Force, which launched in 2013, introduced an all new play pattern – swapability. In 2014, Skylanders® Trap Team reversed the magic of bringing toys to life by allowing players to pull characters out of the digital world into the physical world and became the number 1 kids’ console game globally1. Skylanders® SuperChargers launched on September 20, 2015 and expanded upon the franchise’s signature gameplay to introduce vehicles-to-life for the first time.
