MIGHT & MAGIC® HEROES® VII TRIAL BY FIRE STAND-ALONE EXPANSION AND COMPLETE EDITION NOW AVAILABLE

MIGHT & MAGIC® HEROES® VII TRIAL BY FIRE STAND-ALONE EXPANSION AND COMPLETE EDITION NOW AVAILABLE

Take Control of the Fortress Faction in Two New Campaigns

Ubisoft® has released Trial by Fire, the new stand-alone expansion for the turn-based strategy game Might & Magic Heroes VII. The Complete Edition of the game is also available now for Windows PC.

Trial by Fire features two original campaigns that take place five years after the events of Might & Magic Heroes VII. When Ivan, the recently crowned Emperor, is informed that Dwarven warbands are once again threatening his territory, he is ready to go to war to protect his people. But he also knows a new global conflict could bring the end of the Empire. Hoping to prevent such a tragic escalation, Vilma, leader of the Sudgerd Dwarves, comes to Ivan’s court as an ambassador. Her tale will shed light on some of the darkest chapters of the Dwarves’ history – and reveal the key to saving both of their peoples.

Adding more than 30 hours of gameplay, the expansion allows players to take control of the new Fortress Faction. As they embody legendary Dwarven heroes in a unique mountain environment, players get to see iconic new creatures such as the Red Dragons, Fire Giants and Valkyries. Players will also enjoy extra content, such as six additional skirmish maps and dozens of new artifacts, abilities and achievements. Trial by Fire is a compelling follow-up that allows both newcomers and longtime fans to enjoy the authentic Might & Magic Heroes experience.

The Complete Edition of Might & Magic Heroes VII is also available for purchase now. It includes the base game and the Trial by Fire expansion. Players will also be able to enjoy The Lost Tales of Axeoth, a two-campaign content piece that brings to life scripts originally written for Heroes of Might & Magic IV. In addition, a global update makes gameplay improvements available to all Might & Magic Heroes VII players.

Touhou Genso Rondo Adds Flandre and Yukari as Playable Characters

Usually when a game is localized for release in English it is rather rare to see content added that wasn’t simply something that was patched into the Japanese version during localization. However NIS America is going the extra mile with Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet as the company has announced that they are adding not one but two characters to the playable roster.

Previously the company held a poll asking fans to choose from a list of Touhou characters that should be included in the game and while Flandre Scarlet won first place, the company is also going to be adding Yukari Yakumo, who came in third, into the game. Both Flandre and Yukari will be released as post-launch DLC for Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet and to go along with this announcement the company has released a trailer focusing specifically on showing off what Flandre will be able to do when the game is released on September 6th in North America and September 9th in Europe.

Mafia-III-screenshot-(16)

2K Games and Hangar 13 are continuing with their series of introduction videos for various characters in Mafia III and this time around they are introducing Thomas Burke, or as they call him, “The Anarchist.” From the description given by the company, Burke is the leader of the Irish Mob but thanks to a lifetime of drinking, gambling and running rackets in “Bourbon City” things have grown rather rough.

However when the Italian Mafia muscle into his territory how long can a man be pushed before he starts pushing back? You can check out the full video below and as for the game itself, Mafia III is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7th.

Resident Evil 7 Continues to use Herbs as Healing Items

We haven’t learned a whole lot about what to expect from Resident Evil 7: biohazard. So far what fans have to go off of simply comes from the first person demo that was released on the PlayStation 4 and even the demo has raised more questions, such as how exactly Resident Evil 7: biohazard will be played. Well, no matter how it ends up playing it looks like Capcom is sticking to the standard healing items that fans are used to as the company has released, through its Resident Evil Ambassador program, the first healing items that will be in the game.

This includes a couple of green herbs and what looks like a bottle that is filled with likely mixed green herbs as well as a coin. Whether this coin is hinting at the idea of being able to purchase items once again or something else entirely is currently unknown but for now Resident Evil 7: biohazard is currently set to be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 24th.

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors is Too Hot for Germany, Denied Release in Country

Criminal-Girls-2-party-favors-screenshot-011

Germany and Australia are two of the countries where games tend to have issues with when it comes to release. Even when a game is censored in an effort to assure the game will at least be released in North America, these two countries tend to still be an issue when it comes to some more risque niche titles.

Today NIS America announced that Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors will not be released in Germany as the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) has refused to provide a rating for the game and that it is also not getting an OFLC rating and won’t be released in Australia. This issue will not be affecting other regions of Europe as it has been given a PEGI 16 rating and M rating in North America.

Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension Announced for the West

Koei Tecmo has announced that they will be releasing Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension in the West in late October. The company will be offering the title at retail and digitally on the PlayStation 4 as well as digitally on PC through Steam in North America on October 25th and in Europe on October 28th. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension is a stand-alone follow-up to Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence, which was released last September in the West.

The game will highlight some of the most epic battles and notable events of Sengoku Era Japan, when myriads of military officers and lords fought for domination over the land. Players will be able to experience all the events that led from the fracture of the country to the establishments of clans and the forming of alliances before the inevitable clash that led to the emergence of the first Shogunate. Allowing for deeper immersion and insight into these events as well as providing a closer look at the development of strongholds and armies, this game provides players with the extra option to begin the game from the position of an officer and ascend through the ranks to become an important warlord—perhaps even the overlord of Japan.

To go along with this announcement of a demo Sega has also released a new trailer for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X where they show off a number of songs and modules that players will unlock as well as the Concert Editor that will eventually be made compatible with PlayStation VR when the device is released and you can check it out below.
