The First Beta Weekend Available Exclusively on PS4™ Starts Today until Tuesday, Oct. 18, With a Second Weekend Kicking Off Oct. 22 until Oct. 25 on PS4 and Xbox One

Sydney, Australia – October 15, 2016 – The start of the highly-anticipated Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta kicks-off today on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. Gamers who pre-ordered the game on PS4™ system will obtain a beta access code for instant access to the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta. They will experience Infinite Warfare multiplayer first hand, including all-new maps, the all-new Combat Rigs system, new weaponry, unique progression systems, mission teams, select multiplayer modes and more, starting now until 4:00am AEST, Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Infinite Warfare multiplayer is about customising the experience to fit different play styles, and that begins with Rigs,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward.  “In the Beta, players will get their hands on our new Rigs, abilities, equipment, and of course our new craftable, prototype weapons. With new maps and modes, there’s a tonne of cool new stuff here, and we’re excited to share a slice of multiplayer with the community.  The data we’ll receive over these next two weekends will be helpful as we get ready to share the full multiplayer experience next month at release.”

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta represents a sample of the full multiplayer mode, giving fans access to a slew of its new features and returning features. Beta participants can get hands-on with one of the biggest additions to Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer offering – Combat Rigs. Built around six distinct playstyles, these new combat systems, or suits, offer a whole new level of customisation for the player. Choosing your Rig provides a layer of strategy for fans as they personalise their loadout with selectable abilities, called Payloads or Traits, before heading into battle. Three of the game’s six different Combat Rigs will be available when the Beta kicks off.

The Infinite Warfare Beta features three diverse maps designed to accommodate a variety of engagements, all built to immerse players into fast, fun, and frenetic gameplay that players have come to expect from Call of Duty.  The Beta will feature several game modes, including fan favorites like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed and a brand new game mode called Defender. Players will also be introduced to Mission Teams. By joining different teams and ranking up, players can earn unique rewards from that team, including calling cards, camos, emblems, weapons and more.

Players will battle online with a wide array of new weaponry and equipment, have access to new scorestreaks, lethals, tacticals and customisation options that let them tailor their multiplayer experience to suit their play style. Additional multiplayer content, features, maps and game modes will launch with the final game on Nov. 4.

The second weekend of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta will open up to fans who have pre-ordered the game on either PlayStation®4 system or Xbox One, and will take place from 4am AEST, Saturday, October 22 through 4am AEST, Sunday, October 25. TAKE TO THE HIGH SEAS WITH ENDLESS LEGEND: TEMPEST EXPANSION, AVAILABLE NOW ON STEAM

Experience High-Seas Naval Warfare, the New Oceanic Morgawr Faction, Sea Monsters and More

Paris, France – October 14, 2016 – Critically-acclaimed developer Amplitude Studios announced today that Endless Legend: Tempest, the newest expansion for its award-winning 4X strategy game, is available now on Steam for $9.74, a 25% discount off the full $12.99 retail price. The highly anticipated sea-faring expansion, the biggest one ever for Endless Legend, features the new Morgawr major faction, specializing in naval warfare and…mind control! 4X fans will delight in Amplitude’s daring sea battles, the introduction of the Fomorian minor faction, an unpredictable and treacherous weather system, enigmatic Sea Monsters to contend with, and much more.

To celebrate the release of Endless Legend: Tempest and Endless Space 2 on Early Access, the Endless Franchise is currently on sale on Steam until Monday, October 17 (with a steep 75% discount on their released titles)!

Key Features in Tempest Include:

  • New Major Faction – The Morgawr: Locked in the depths of Auriga by the Endless due to their uncontrollable power, the demonic Morgawr are finally free… This new faction will focus on controlling the seas and spreading chaos on land, thanks to mind control powers and the “Black Spot” curse cast on their enemies.
  • Naval Warfare: Naval battles for everyone! Players will finally be able to battle on the seas. All seaborne units can instigate and reinforce sea battles. Exotic mechanics and tile effects spice up this new type of battle.
  • Ocean Control and Weather Systems: Arcane structures have emerged from beneath the waves: these Endless relics provide strategic and luxury resources as well as other bonuses to the empire able to control them. To do so, their mysterious guardians must be parlayed with or defeated in battle. The same guardians will patrol “wild” ocean regions, making them a lot less safe to cross without convoy. Expect clouds, rain and storms to appear on your map.
  • Sea Fortresses and Minor Faction Fomorians: New generated ocean regions, including a Sea Fortress, offer strategic locations in the water for players to battle it out. Anywhere from zero to three fortresses are located in each ocean region, so expect more in oceans that are more strategically pivotal, between islands or continents.

Endless Legend Tempest is available now on Steam for $9.74 (a 25% discount off the 12.99 retail price).

Known for its deep, engaging, and gorgeous 4X strategy games, Amplitude Studios won the venerable 2013 Golden Cube and Community Choice Unity Awards for Endless Space and the 2015 Best 3D Visual Experience for Endless Legend. NEW POKÉMON AND CHARACTERS ANNOUNCED FOR POKÉMON SUN AND POKÉMON MOON!

NEW POKÉMON AND CHARACTERS ANNOUNCED FOR POKÉMON SUN AND POKÉMON MOON!

Eight new Pokémon and two new characters revealed for upcoming Pokémon games.

London—14 October 2016— The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo showcased new information for the latest games in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, coming to Europe on 23 November and available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

The following new Pokémon have been unveiled:

Silvally
Type: Normal
The Synthetic Pokémon Silvally is the evolution of Type: Null. This Pokémon changes its type when exclusive items are inserted into the drive on its head, and its somatic cells mutate and glow with different colors of light depending on its type. Silvally has the new Ability RKS System, which causes this Pokémon to change type when holding specific type-related items. It also has the exclusive move Multi-Attack, an attack which changes depending on which type-related item it is holding.

Hakamo-o
Type: Dragon-Fighting
Hakamo-o is the Evolution of Jangmo-o. Hakamo-o dance before battle to show their strength, clanging their scales together. A solitary Pokémon that enjoys training alone, its scales are often torn off, but they grow back nearly immediately. Hakamo-o view the number of lost scales as proof of how ferociously they have fought in battle.

Kommo-o
Type: Dragon-Fighting
Kommo-o is the Evolution of Hakamo-o. There is a legend that says Kommo-o are covered in glittering scales in order to drive away a great darkness covering the world. This Pokémon can learn the new move Clanging Scales. When using this attack, Kommo-o scrapes the scales covering its body against one another, attacking with a loud clamor. After using this move, Kommo-o’s Defense is lowered.

Steenee
Type: Grass
The Fruit Pokémon Steenee is the Evolution of Bounsweet. The calyx on this Pokémon’s head is very hard, and Steenee attacks by smacking its opponent with it, combined with kicks from its tough legs. This Pokémon’s fragrance is even more delectable than that of Bounsweet.

Tsareena
Type: Grass
Only the strongest of Steenee are able to evolve into Tsareena. A very noble Pokémon, Tsareena use their strength to protect and rule over Bounsweet as their queen. This Pokémon attacks with very powerful, majestic kicks and uses its powerful fragrance to mesmerize its opponents. Some Tsareena have the exclusive new ability Queenly Majesty, which prevents opponents from using priority moves.

Ribombee
Type: Bug-Fairy
Ribombee is the Evolution of Cutiefly. This Pokémon collects flower nectar and pollen to make into balls, known as Pollen Puffs, which it can then launch at its opponent in battle. Some of the Pollen Puffs that Ribombee make also have relaxing effects or can relieve tiredness. These Pollen Puffs are distributed all over the Alola region.

Alolan Grimer
Type: Poison-Dark
As the population of the Alola region increased, dealing with garbage became a serious problem. As a solution, Grimer were imported from other regions and fed primarily on garbage, so their body composition changed—as did their form. What appear to be teeth in this Pokémon’s mouth are in fact residual toxins from the garbage it eats, which have hardened and crystallized. There are more than a hundred Alolan Grimer in Alola’s garbage-processing plants.

Alolan Muk
Type: Poison-Dark
Alolan Muk evolves from Alolan Grimer. The Muk in the Alola region produce and store their toxins within their bodies so, unlike Muk in other regions, you won’t detect any unpleasant aromas when you draw near one. Alolan Muk has the same poisonous crystals as Alolan Grimer, but they are all over the surface of its body. Alolan Muk uses them to attack, just like other Pokémon use their fangs or claws.

Two new characters who will appear in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games were also announced. Introducing Olivia and Ilima:

Olivia
Olivia is the kahuna of Akala Island, the second island you visit across your island challenge. She is extraordinarily skilled and has served as a kahuna since a young age. Although highly skilled, she insists that she is just a normal girl.

Ilima
A graduate of the Trainers’ school and an expert in Normal-type Pokémon, Captain Ilima is considered a hero by the students of his former school.

A new trailer that showcases the new Pokémon and characters can be found here: https://youtu.be/x6nEp3WoWr0.

Apogee Software’s Radical Heroes: Crimson City Crisis Comes To Early Access

Apogee Software’s Radical Heroes: Crimson City Crisis Comes To Early Access

Thursday, October 6th, 2016— Apogee Software and Mad Unicorn Games are proud to announce that PC brawler Radical Heroes: Crimson City Crisis™ has officially come to Early Access on Steam, purchasable for $9.99 USD. Radical Heroes is a crazy, chaotic Brawler game that plays homage to several IPs from the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Radical Heroes: Crimson City Crisis™ brings a fresh take on the “Retro” genre of video games with 2.5D beat ‘em up and brawler action, an awesome story, and insane, chaotic gameplay. Taking inspiration from classic beat ‘em up games, Radical Heroes pushes you along to fight for your life, while making your way through maze-like city levels. Following the premise that all six of the levels are playsets and the (40+) playable characters are action figures, the game follows the story of Diesel, a bald, hulking every-man looking for the reason behind the sudden influx of crime in the city. As you play through the story, you can unlock additional characters (and their collectible weapons), as well as each Boss you defeat.

In addition to the classic feel, Radical Heroes brings some modern twists to the genre, starting with 4-player online co-op. 4-Player co-op mode allows you and three friends to throw down and take on the evil that lies before you. The entire game is also accessible to be played in Virtual Reality, utilizing your favorite options to throw down in VR.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Goku Black Footage and New Announcements

The two hour live stream of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 didn’t contain too much information to justify it’s run time but we did see a few new things most notably the first footage of Goku Black and two new characters announced for the first DLC pack.

There’s not much to say about the Goku Black footage but he does look pretty savage just like in Dragon Ball Super. We know this version of the character won’t be able to transform into his new form but that is most likely planned for DLC in the future.

Speaking of DLC, two new characters from Dragon Ball Super from the Universe 6 arc have been announced, Final Form Frost and Cabba (with the English spelling Bandai are using being Kyabe) who will be able to use the Super Saiyan transformation.

We got some looks at new story missions which I have to say are looking disappointingly close to what we got in the first game but I’ll reserve my full judgement until I play the whole thing for myself. It was also confirmed you can do races and play hide and seek in the hub world of Conton City.

We also saw a couple of new expert missions which are looking fun. These could be seen as boss fights and won’t be limited to Great Ape battles, with two missions against Turles and Golden Frieza showcased. The fights seem to be broken into parts where you might get sent to a different stage to fight someone or have the enemy undergo a power up.

And that’s basically it, be glad I just saved you 2 hours! All players on the PS4 will be able to try the game for them selves tomorrow when the Open Beta hits. The official starting time is October 14 at 5 PM Japanese Standard Time. It runs for exactly two days. The full retail version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launches on the 25th of October in North America and the 28th in Europe and most other parts of the world. You can check out my full impressions from the Closed Beta here.

Battlestate Games partnered up with Russian firearms manufacturer Kalashnikov to get access to a variety of weapons in the company’s inventory. The partnership allowed the developers to collect audio samples to create realistic sound effects for the upcoming FPS Escape from Tarkov. Battlestate Games released a new developer diary in Russian with English subtitles documenting the trip to the Kalashnikov training grounds. The team got a chance to fire a large variety of weapons for the microphone, from a classic water cooled machine gun to the latest prototypes in Kalashnikov’s arsenal.

Escape from Tarkov is a highly realistic survival FPS set in the fictional, quarantined city of Tarkov where members of two private military corporations are desperately trying to fight their way out. The game is currently in closed alpha testing with closed beta testing to begin later this year.
