Don Bradman Cricket’s Stadium Creator Mode An Instant Hit

Don Bradman Cricket 17 to boast the most stadiums of any sports game, with dozens of player-created stadiums already ready for download when the main game launches.

Melbourne, October18: Just a few short weeks after releasing the stadium creator update on the free Don Bradman Cricket Academy (Steam link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/465090/), fans have already created some incredibly lifelike and personal stadiums, in advance of being able to play on them when the full game releases in December.

“The fan response to this feature has been incredible; we’ve seen people do everything from recreate their local pitch that they play games on with their home club, right through to completely accurate recreations of some of the most famous stadiums that the international teams play in,” Big Ant CEO, Ross Symons, said.

“The stadium creator was a major investment for us in terms of tech, and you can look forward to seeing it in other sports titles from us into the future.”

The stadium creator is a unique feature to Don Bradman Cricket 17, allowing players have complete control over the look and feel of their stadiums. From the size of the oval and stands, right through to the small details on the outside, such as coffee carts and turnstiles, players will be able to create any cricket field in the world using the toolset.

Then, once the full game has been released, players will be able to seamlessly drop the stadium into their game for play. An upload & share feature will allow players to jump online to access the creations that others upload.

“The stadium is a critical part of the cricket experience,” Symons said. “The atmosphere in playing on a local field surrounded by people sitting on the grass is very different to that of playing in an arena like at Lord’s.

“Don Bradman Cricket 17 aims to be the most authentic cricket game ever created, and that meant that we wanted to make sure that people were able to recreate the aesthetics and atmosphere of the game, and what it means to them,” Symons added.

In other news, the Cricket Academy has recently been updated to feature playable practice modes for both batting and bowling, allowing players to get a full sense of what to expect from the main game in its release later on this year.

Torrance, Calif. — October 17, 2016 — XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., revealed during its panel at AkibaFest in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles on October 15, 2016 that developer ACQUIRE’s highly-anticipated satirical JRPG headed to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, AKIBA’S BEAT, will receive dual audio voiceover support, including both English and Japanese language dialog options covering each of its nearly 22,000 spoken lines. Both voiceover languages will be present on-disc for the PS4™ system version, while “PSVita” system players will have English-language voiceovers available out of the box with the option to download Japanese-language voiceovers separately as a free DLC item.

In addition, the company announced that the game’s “cute little uggo” mascot character, Pinkun, will phase into reality as a 3.5” tall pocket plushie that will come with all pre-orders at participating retailers while supplies last.

A spiritual successor to Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed, AKIBA’S BEAT is a modern-day satirical spin on a classic Japanese RPG formula. Set in a true-to-life recreation of Tokyo’s Akihabara ward (“Akiba” for short), players will take control of a party of characters led by protagonist Asahi Tachibana as they seek to rid the town of anything out of sync with reality.

There are two sides to the gameplay: first, players will wander the streets and question the quirky Akihabara residents on a variety of subjects related to the mystery at hand, ultimately unlocking fantasy-themed dungeons known as “Delusionscapes” which are infested with monsters called “deluseons.” These deluseons are encountered on the map and fought in a party-based action battle system, putting players’ skills to the test and creating a uniquely challenging experience that seamlessly blends a real-life locale with the secret delusory world of its residents’ innermost desires.

Developed by Acquire and published in North America by XSEED Games, AKIBA’S BEAT is headed to PS4™ and “PSVita” systems in Q1 2017. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

BARCELONA, Spain —October 17th, 2016— Steam gamers and card-game fans alike, today is your lucky day! Janken Cards is released. The game gives a 180 degree spin to the classic Rock-Paper-Scissors game we’re all familiar with by adding new rules and a variety of wild cards that enhance the player’s fun.

The objective of the game is to accumulate more points and wildcards than the opponent in order to win more hands. To achieve this, the player must devise a competent strategy each time. Since the player is able to see the opponent’s cards he/she must think ahead and strategize in a way they believe will master their opponent’s moves. The game’s rules have been designed to make it easy to play but difficult to master gameplay.

“We’ve made a game that is fairly easy to understand and to play, but everyone who has tried it said there is some difficulty getting a high ratio of hands won”, said Alex Climent, Managing Director at GKT Studios.

Developers have made the game very visual, for example the handling of the cards is laid out around the board and a variety of possible moves are displayed as well. Just a keyboard or a gamepad needed. The game is played in turns, where everything happens on a background chosen at the beginning of the game as well as the type of card deck used. Summer Lesson: Hikari Miyamoto focuses on a 16 year old looking girl named Hikari who is struggling with her academics. Thus you, with your PlayStation VR headset on, become her tutor and must guide her through the subjects she struggles with. You have 7 days with Hikari to come up with lesson plans, but just like in high school when you would invite someone you had a crush on to ‘come and study’ with you, things start getting romantic.

The game launched in Japan this week but now a wider available Asian version has been announced for the PlayStation Network in South East Asia for early 2017. While you may now be wondering why we even bothered reporting this story, this version will have English subtitles and translations. The PS4 is also region free, so you will have no problem getting the game if you so desire. Mainly for culture reasons, English releases of games like this one are seldom seen, so this is one of the first times this kind of experience will be more accessible to international players. It definitely feels like Bandai Namco pushing the boundaries to see if there is a market for this type of game internationally.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed until April 4, 2017

CI Games revealed that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will launch on April 4th, 2017. The game is the first in the franchise to be a true AAA title, which means the game will be larger and more polished compared to the previous two titles. Based on feedback from testers, streamers, and press, the original January 27th, 2017 release date has been pushed back almost three months to give the Polish developers more time to optimize the game. Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games, released the following statement in regards to the delay:

“We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans. Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is an FPS starring Jonathan North, a sniper sent on a mission in northern Georgia (the country, not the state). The game features large open worlds, and dynamic weather, day/night cycles. The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Civilization VI Launch Trailer Released, Unlock Times Outlined

2K and Firaxis Games released the launch trailer for the hotly anticipated 4x strategy game Civilization VI today. The trailer is set to “Sogno di Volare” by Christopher Tin, who won the first Grammy award for a video game with the Civilization IV theme “Baba Yetu.”

Civilization VI is set to launch on Friday, October 21st. Pre-loading has begun on Steam, where the game is priced at $59.99 USD. 2K will be unlocking the game in three waves.  Asia and Oceania will get their start at 3AM AEDT. Europe and Africa can begin playing at 12AM BST. North and South America will unlock last at 12 AM EST. For the curious, countries on the release schedule map marked in black are restricted by a trade embargo and cannot buy the game.

Blazing Skies includes the following and more:

  • Combat Training: A new combat training feature will be available, allowing all players to sign up for Dominion training or 3v3 and 6v6 arena training, with or without a raid group. While these do not affect personal rankings, winning in arena practice mode provides twenty-five Combat Emblems – a good way to gain arena experience and a handful of precious emblems.
  • Daily Quest: Every visit to Allods Online will also become more profitable due to a new daily quest system. Players will now be rewarded from a special reward table for completing a daily challenge, with each completion also adding milestone points that make every seventh day (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, etc.) more rewarding. Reaching these milestones provides even bigger rewards, such as very rare costumes, strongboxes, and even pristine combat mounts.
  • Maze System: An updated maze system will bring forth new monsters, traps and auras, seasonal rewards, easier maze customization, and various other tweaks for maze-building enthusiasts to enjoy. Furthermore, players will also be able to ‘test’ their maze with a group of friends or mercenaries to see firsthand how potent their creation is.
  • Raid Search Feature: Thanks to the new raid search feature, players will be able to sign up for a new “Battle of Gods” adventure using the automatic raid search interface. The difficulty of this content will scale based on the number of players in the raid, and rewards players with equipment on their first boss kill(s) of the week, or meteorite staples and emblems of notable victory on repeat kills.
  • Astral Allods: Treasure hunters will discover two new astral allods – a mysterious Priden temple and “East Overshoe”, the residence of Shri-Imp.
  • Arena Update: Furthermore, a new title will also be granted to the top winners of the Arena of Heroes in the new season of frenzy, and the battle-log in skirmishes has been altered to provide an easier analysis of player performance, such as showing how much damage players received or absorbed from additional effects.
  • New Races: Lastly, two more races will now be able to select the Engineer class: Arisen (Inventors) and Gibberling (Cannoneers).

LONDON (17th October 2016) – From today, adventurers can journey into the WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY® with the playable demo now available for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®Vita from the PlayStation®Store.

Players can get a feel for the unique evolution of the classic “active time battle” (ATB) system as they capture and raise companion monsters called Mirages, customizing a variety of stacks and upgrading Mirage Boards to unlock special skills and attacks. Additionally, legendary characters from the FINAL FANTASY® franchise, including Faris (FINAL FANTASY V) and Cloud (FINAL FANTASY VII) will appear. Players who complete the demo will unlock the ability to obtain “Magitek Armor P” in the Coliseum when playing the full version of the game.
