From the Developers of Multi-Million Selling Prison Architect Comes New, Hauntingly Mysterious ‘Scanner Sombre’

Introversion Software’s next title goes deep underground to explore the unknown on April 26th
LONDON – April 24, 2017 – BAFTA-winning Introversion Software officially announced the independent studio’s next title today, Scanner Sombre, launching on PC on Wednesday 26th April at 3pm BST / 7am PDT / 10am EDT. Scanner Sombre introduces a minimalist game environment in intriguing new ways, creating a suspense-laden journey that harnesses the senses from a first person perspective.

Using a LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) scanner to aid navigation, players must make their way through a complex network of underground caves in complete darkness in an attempt to make it back to the surface. Your LIDAR scanner produces millions of individual light-points, painting a static, neon 3D image of the environments as you trek through the darkness. But not all is as it seems, and you might not be alone.

Creative Director at Introversion Chris Delay said, “Scanner Sombre is a total departure for us as a studio in terms of visual style and tone; it’s almost a subversive game when you think about what people might expect from Introversion so we’re really looking forward to hearing people’s reactions when they can play it.”

Introversion’s Managing Director, Mark Morris butted in with, “This is a very different experience to Prison Architect. It’s a shorter, but a more involved, claustrophobic game distilling a deep sense of unease into a single play session. It’s probably going to make you feel a bit uncomfortable.”

Find out more and view the launch trailer at www.scanner-sombre.com

Scanner Sombre is $11.99 with a 20 percent discount on Steam, GOG and the Humble store.

THREE FIELDS ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES ‘DANGER ZONE’ FOR PC AND PLAYSTATION®4

Indie Studio To Release 3D Vehicular Destruction Game May 2017

PETERSFIELD, ENGLAND – -April 26, 2017 — Three Fields Entertainment, a small independent British developer led by veterans Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward, today announced Danger Zone, a new 3D vehicular destruction game where players crash for cash by creating the biggest car crash possible.

“We are going back to our roots by creating a game in a genre we are truly passionate about,” said Fiona Sperry, Founder and CEO of Three Fields Entertainment.  “Danger Zone takes what made the Crash Mode featured in 2004’s Burnout 3: Takedown so popular and transforms it into an all-new car-crashing, arcade-style puzzle game. We look forward to engaging those same fans by delivering an entirely new and extremely fun experience.”

Powered by Epic’s Unreal® Engine 4 and set in a virtual Crash Testing Facility, Danger Zone combines realistic physics with explosive gameplay and features 20 exciting single player crash testing scenarios, each with their own unique road layout, traffic and pickups.

In Danger Zone, players are challenged to drive into the junction and create the biggest First Impact that causes enough vehicles to crash to earn a “SmashBreaker,” turning their car into a bomb that can explode on command.  Players score for how many cars they crash, with bonus points awarded for exploding cars by hitting them while in “SmashBreaker” or for pushing them off the road entirely.  If the player’s car falls off the road, it’s game over.  Connected leaderboards allows comparison of player scores for the friends you play against and the rest of the community.

The third game developed by the studio, Danger Zone is rated E10+ for everyone ages 10 and up and will be available for PC on Steam and for PlayStation®4 in May 2017 for $12.99/£9.99/€12.99.
