Last time we heard about God Wars: Future Past was that it was going to be delayed to sometime in Spring 2017 by Kadokawa Games. Now thanks to this week’s issue of Famitsu we now know that the company is aiming to have the title released on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan sometime in April.
This bit of information also came with news that a second demo for the game will be released on the Japanese PlayStation Store in early February and allow players to try out various stages that were unavailable in the first demo as well as carry over progress to the full retail release. It is worth noting that NIS America had previously announced the release of God Wars: Future Past in North America and Europe for early 2017.
This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed that Musou Stars will be adding four more characters to the currently confirmed roster. Some of these characters are fairly familiar as they include the signature Lu Bu from the Dynasty Warriors series, fan favorite Ii Noatora from Samurai Warriors, Laegrinna who debuted in the most recent Deception game, and the cast mascot of the series, Oda Nobunyaga, a take on Oda Nobunaga in feline form.
Currently we only have a small glimpse of these characters thanks to the above scan that primarily shows off Laegrinna though we can expect more images to be released in the future. Koei Tecmo is planning on having Musou Stars released on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on March 2nd in Japan.
Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, best known for creating quirky and memorable games like Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, went on hiatus from game development a few months back after leaving Access Games but it looks like he only had to take a few months off before getting back into the swing of things.
Swery has announced that he has founded his own game studio and it is called White Owls Inc. The studio is based in Osaka and features the slogan “From Osaka to all of YOU around the world!.” Currently there is little info as to what to expect from the company though they have stated that they are working on an original project, though whether it is a mobile title, or something for the PlayStation 4 is yet to be seen.
