Developer to Celebrate Release of Inaugural Title on “Adventure Creator” Platform; RPG Fans Invited to Visit Booth #509 from August 17–20 to Play Iconic RPG on iOS and Android

SEATTLE, WA – (July 12, 2017) – MetaArcade, a developer building a platform to allow players to create and publish their own RPG adventures, announced it will launch Tunnels & Trolls™ Adventures on the App Store and Google Play on August 17th, coinciding with the first day of Gen Con 50 in Indianapolis. Tunnels & Trolls Adventures, which will also release on PC, Mac and Steam later this year, is a dungeon crawling RPG experience that brings new and classic quests to life from Tunnels & Trolls, the second RPG ever published. The game is the first component of MetaArcade’s new platform, with the other being the upcoming Adventure Creator software that will allow players to create their own quests for the game.

To celebrate the game and platform launch, MetaArcade will showcase the mobile RPG adventure title at Gen Con from August 17–20. Media and roleplaying fans alike will have a chance to play the game, talk to its creators and get an early look at the Adventure Creator software for creating your own quests.

Tunnels & Trolls, the second roleplaying game ever published, is beloved by fans for its classic RPG heritage. July 12, 2017 – Today publisher SOEDESCO announced that Milkstone Studios’ side scrolling combat-RPG Pharaonic is getting a boxed Deluxe Edition. The game comes out for PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One on September 22.

The Deluxe Edition will include the game and a physical copy of the original soundtrack which contains twelve tracks that immerse the player in the world of Ancient Egypt. All tracks are composed by Carlos Viola, who is also responsible for the soundtrack of critically acclaimed horror adventure The Last Door.

Combat design similar to Dark Souls
Pharaonic is a brightly colored side scrolling Combat-RPG set in Ancient Egypt. Players start out as a slave who has to reveal the secret behind Ahmosis I, the Red Pharaoh. They engage in numerous battles to be able to complete their quest for the truth. A single mistake can be fatal, so they have to stay on their toes in order to survive.

Maximum Games’ Mythical Adventure Lands on Nintendo Switch August 15th With New Improvements

Sydney, 12th July 2017 – Video game publisher Maximum Games, in partnership with developer Spiral House, today announced that Troll and I – the adventure that pits the dynamic duo of Troll and Otto against a Scandinavian forest of wilds – will be available on Nintendo Switch on August 15, 2017. Additionally, the game receives a major patch for console and PC versions on the 21st July.

Troll and I is the perfect first entry for us into the Nintendo Switch system,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Maximum Games. “The cooperative gameplay lends itself perfectly to the local co-op features of the platform, where two friends can work together to battle the challenges they face as a team.”

Troll and I invites players on an enchanting journey with the game’s two main heroes: the nimble, adventurous, adolescent Otto and the powerful, elusive Troll. With the ability to play solo or with a friend in local couch co-op, players must guide Otto and Troll through the majestic mountains and lush forests of the Nordic wilderness as they try to dodge and defeat various enemies, including mythical orcs and ruthless hunters.

The game was previously released on PS4™, Xbox One, and PC in March of this year. Those versions will receive a major patch on 21st July. Implementing the following changes: addition of a mini-map; additional checkpoints; Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty settings; increased crafting speed; new tutorials; additional text hints; increased resources for crafting and survivability; overall balance improvements. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will also see these changes when it launches in August.

Troll and I was developed by Spiral House and is published by Maximum Games. The game is available now Australia and New Zealand for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and PC, and will be available on Nintendo Switch August 15th, 2017. This title has been rated M – Violence.

It’s up to Lincoln Clay, Father James – and you – to unravel the clues and free a woman from the grips of a bloodthirsty cult. “Sign of the Times” is a dark trip into the drug-induced underbelly of New Bordeaux. What can you expect out of “Sign of the Times” when it arrives on July 25? Keep reading to learn all about the third installment of Mafia III’s Season Pass content.

Faster, Baby!” had you ripping through rural Sinclair Parish with high-speed chases and stunt driving. “Stones Unturned” took you on an explosive buddy action adventure with John Donovan by your side. Now, as a mysterious cult surfaces in the city, “Sign of the Times” draws you into a creepy game of cat-and-mouse that feels more like a 1960s-inspired psychological thriller. There’s a few new gameplay elements introduced, as well as gear to earn and cars to add to your fleet.

We spoke with Bill Harms and Ed Fowler, Hangar 13’s Narrative Director and Senior Writer, and found out more about what’s to come in “Sign of the Times.”

TRUTH IS AS STRANGE AS FICTION – Bill Harms, Narrative Director

The inspiration for “Sign of the Times” is pretty clear. The late 1960s was a time of social and civil unrest – which we cover extensively in the game – but also of hallucinogenic experimentation and crazed cults, the horrible memory of the Manson Family being the most infamous. We were inspired to tell a story that represented that element of the time period, which led to The Ensanglante you tangle with in New Bordeaux.

But, even we have to admit that this is a pretty different experience going from Lincoln’s story of revenge against the Italian Mob, taking down corrupt officials in “Faster, Baby!” or helping your old war buddy in “Stones Unturned.”

I see each of the DLC stories as three different journeys for Lincoln and how he’s wrestling with his own grief and finding a way forward. You have someone like Lincoln who felt powerless in stopping the betrayal early in the game. In “Sign of the Times,” you have him finding someone who needs help – that’s not able to put the pieces of the puzzle together – and he can actually do something for her.

Part of it is seeing himself in that character – Anna – and the common ground of going through traumatic experiences. This isn’t some quest for revenge or redemption, but Lincoln tries to find some kind of peace for her that he’s not able to find for himself.

There’s definitely a different feel for this part of Lincoln’s story. It’s more internal, there are points you’re hearing Lincoln talk to himself as he hunts for clues. More importantly, he’s not in full control of this situation – and there are times when he won’t even know what’s real and what isn’t. Unlike the one-man war that Lincoln wages against the Marcanos, he doesn’t have an inside line. No knowledge of The Ensanglante or what they do. Logitech Acquires Gaming Audio Manufacturer Astro Gaming

Logitech is taking a big step into the console market today, announcing they have agreed to purchase Astro Gaming for $85 million in cash. The acquisition process will be completed in August. Logitech’s takeover is the second for Astro, as they were initially purchased by Skullcandy in 2011 during Skullcandy’s failed foray into the gaming market.

Logitech stressed that the Logitech G brand will continue to focus on PC gaming. This could mean that Logitech plans to use Astro Gaming as their console brand moving forward. The purchase would provide an excellent opportunity to combine Astro’s brand recognition among console gamers and Logitech’s experience in peripheral development, manufacturing, and distribution into a major expansion into the console peripheral market.

Blue Reflection Gets First Trailer, New Plot Details Released

Koei Tecmo released the first trailer for their upcoming JRPG Blue Reflection along with the first synopsis of the game’s plot. The game follows Hinako Shirai, a high school girl thrust into the role of protector of humanity as a Reflector. Under the guidance of the twins Yuzu and Lime, Hinako learns of the place where the causes of human emotional trouble reside in the form of crystallized fragments called The Common. To battle the Seripha demons threatening humanity, Hinako and her friends will have to do battle with the demons that plague the lives of their classmates by channeling the power of emotion into a weapon.

Blue Reflection is developed by GUST. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and Windows via Steam on 29 September, 2017.
