War Thunder: Italian Air Force now available to all players

Friday, July 14th 2017 — Gaijin Entertainment today announced that War Thunder’s Italian Air Force has successfully concluded closed testing. Initially introduced with Update 1.69 Regia Aeronautica, all regular aircraft of the game’s sixth major nation can now be unlocked by all players, with the top jet fighters; Fiat G.91 and G.91R/1 being the last to finish their trials.
Warmly welcomed by the players of War Thunder, the new Italian aircraft are now a common sight in the skies above the War Thunder battlefields. To prepare them for release, all Italian aircraft went through a closed playtest on the live servers, after which they were progressively unlocked for all players to research. Both purchasers of one of the Italian Founder packs and active players of War Thunder could participate in the testing, giving the developers invaluable feedback in the process. Today, many virtual pilots have already mastered the unique and ingenious Italian designs, which now play a major role in any air combat they participate in.
Naturally, with the end of closed testing the development of the Italian Air Force in War Thunder is all but finished. New Italian content is already in development and will reach the players of War Thunder as soon as the next major update goes live. Set in the 1970s, Serial Cleaner has players sneak around bloody crime scenes to clean up incriminating evidence by disposing of bodies, covering up bloodstains and hiding murder weapons all while avoiding the police. To succeed players must explore, experiment and make swift decisions in order to avoid police detection. Get caught and players earn a black mark on their protagonist’s career.

Players can also test their skills in Challenge Modes that has them compete in a bevy of nail-bitingly hard modes such as Drunk Mode or play in Serial Cleaner’s bonus movie-inspired levels.
Players must also be wary of their environment as the game uses real-world data to modify levels accordingly with the current time of day in a player’s whereabouts. Noise detection and “sneakability” vary between night and day, and mean the difference between freedom and jail.
North American PlayStation Plus subscribers who purchase Serial Cleaner receive a 20% discount, while European Plus subscribers receive a 10% discount. If that was not enough Plus members in both regions can all grab a free Serial Cleaner dynamic theme to celebrate launch.

I think it’s a great game, it’s definitely a lot of fun to play.”
In the trailer Verstappen also comments on how the two cars feel to him compared to his real life experiences: “The 2017 RB13 feels really good in the game, with the extra grip, from the new 2017 car designs as well as from the wider tyres, resulting in faster cornering speeds which require more precision. In comparison, the classic RB6 is lighter, with a slower top speed, and later braking, and of course the biggest stand out being the sound of the engine.”
