August 9, 2017 – Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Absolution, the third DLC Map Pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, Absolution features four new, diverse multiplayer maps that are designed to showcase the diverse play styles experienced within the game. The DLC pack also includes “Attack of the Radioactive Thing!” with actress Cassandra Peterson starring as Elvira in a 1950s Creature Feature zombies experience.

Attack of the Radioactive Thing!, the next action-packed chapter of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare zombies story, once again features the return of Willard Wyler, the merciless movie director villain portrayed with voice and likeness by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham). Wyler has trapped the four protagonists inside an all-new horror film in the style of the classic, Creature Feature movies from the 1950s. Players will fight against a new array of zombie enemies across a ravaged beach town where a government science experiment has transformed the residents into flesh-devouring zombies and introduced a new biological menace into the city. Additionally, horror movie icon Elvira, played with voice and likeness by Cassandra Peterson (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Elvira’s Movie Macabre), will help players survive and give them gameplay tips and side quests with her unique Elvira style. New weapons, traps and more, will augment the hallmark Call of Duty zombies action fans know and love, with Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers) as “the Scientist;” Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) as “the Rebel;” Jay Pharoah (White Famous, Saturday Night Live) as “the Soldier;” and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live, Pizza Mind) as “the School Girl,” all making a return to the ongoing story in this all-new experience.

In addition to Attack of the Radioactive Thing!, Absolution will also include four new multiplayer maps:

  • Bermuda – A shantytown created around the remnants of a crashed ship, Bermuda allows players to duck, dive, and wall ride from the fish market to the lighthouse in this small to medium sized map that’s been water-wasted and sandblasted.
  • Permafrost – Set within the chill of a frozen city skyline, Permafrost lets players stick to the ground and pick their plan of attack in one of three main lanes. They will traverse the map, moving from street side to train station, and hobo village to wrecked theatre house in this small, tight-quarters map.
  • Fore – In Fore, the only thing miniature about this large map is the golf courses players will be fighting in. Fore features great visual variety as players swing around the sights and sounds of areas that brandish magical forests, giant creamsicles, and elevated castle walls.
  • Ember – Located near an old town castle, Ember is a remake of the Modern Warfare® 3 classic map Resistance, featuring old world aesthetics retrofitted with modern technology. The surroundings include lava, gallows and a torture room, where players will want to stick close to their teammates.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Absolution DLC Map Pack is available via the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Season Pass, which can be purchased on its own or obtained as part of the Legacy Pro or Digital Deluxe editions of the game. Season Pass gives discounted access to all four Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC Map Packs released during 2017 (discount based on a Season Pass suggested retail price of AUD$64.95/NZD$69.95 and four individual DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of AUD$19.95/NZD$22.95 each). AUSTIN – August 8th, 2017 – Devolver Digital Films announces CODumentary, a documentary following a story centered about the blockbuster video game Call of Duty, releasing worldwide on VOD on Tuesday, September 19th at 10 AM PST.

The 93-minute feature documentary, created in the UK by Jonathan Beales, explores how the video game Call of Duty grew into one of the biggest global entertainment franchise blockbusters of all time. Video game publisher/film distributor Devolver Digital will release the documentary worldwide on the Steam Store and on VOD via Amazon on September 19th, to be followed by releases on iTunes, Google Play, MGo, Playstation, Xbox, TubiTV, Indie Reign, and the Indie Rights Vimeo Channel, as well as a DVD/Blu-Ray release with dates to be announced.

The documentary details how Call of Duty, created in 2003 by Infinity Ward, faced strong competition in its early days from a host of similar high quality WWII games yet managed to rise to the top and sustain its position with a growing global fan base.

Critically acclaimed by both fans and media, the release of Modern Warfare in 2007 took the multi-player competitive element to a whole new level through a fast action innovative game-play design structure.

Filmed across North America, the UK & Europe including the D-Day beaches, the story in CODumentary is told by developers, fans, professional players and numerous games experts, who describe in rich detail what makes the game so special and why it’s been so successful from launch to the present day. Jonathan Beales is an industry professional with over 31 years experience in video games media & marketing spanning print, radio, web and television.

“One of the biggest challenges making the film was encapsulating a 15 year timeline into 93 minutes,” says producer Jonathan Beales. “I was very fortunate to work with a lot of great people whose input and contribution really helped make this happen. It’s a rich story of evolution told through the eyes of games developers, fans, industry experts and professional players. It’s a big documentary and we wanted to put the fans first so took the opportunity to host two full screenings at DreamHack Atlanta that were a big success.”

Beales continued, “It’s been a great 5-year journey and though documentary is centered on video games, the story is always about the human input and endeavor involved. The rich experiences of developing games, playing them or waiting in line to buy them will always remain center stage.”

In Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon, players will encounter a number of unique and dastardly fiends and will have to rely on their close bonds with their companions to emerge victorious.  The battle party will always be comprised of Aluche, the player’s character, an NPC of her choice, and up to two Servans. Each team member will bring a unique selection of skills to the equation, ranging from different fighting styles and weapons to the beautiful Lily Burst, a power-up that combines the extraordinary abilities of Aluche and her humanoid companion into one devastating blow.

Aluche’s Servan allies are also useful assets to the team, with their incredible Servan Actions, which can help turn the tide of battle in her favour! The invaluable Tricker types are able to gain an advantage by unleashing their elemental abilities, dealing critical status effects to their foes. One such Tricker is the mighty canine companion, Scharf, who sends electrified spheres onto the battlefield to paralyse and inflict lasting damage on enemies! Trickers can change form as they evolve, and can grow more powerful through Reincarnation, which drastically increases their stats, allowing them to access new types of attacks and unlock incredible abilities.

As for the player-controlled Aluche, she soon discovers that the blood of slain fiends can be used to heighten her body’s strength, and players are able to choose new abilities fitting their preferred play-style from a wide selection of varied combat styles!

The free weekend will lead into the launch of “Grudge & Glory”, For Honor’s third season and biggest update to date. Sydney, 8th August 2017 – Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced it has become the Official Video Gaming Partner of Spanish giants, Valencia CF. The agreement will see the club faithfully recreated within the publisher’s Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series and the pair will work across a series of complementary promotional activities.

The deal comes as KONAMI looks to strengthen its ties with the world’s best clubs for its PES series. Valencia CF is one of the most successful clubs in the Spanish league, with six titles, numerous domestic trophies, and European success in the UEFA Cup competition.

As Valencia CF’s Official Video Gaming Partner, KONAMI will work closely with the club to ensure their representation within the PES series is as close as possible. The agreement allows KONAMI to use the home, away and third kits in the forthcomingPES 2018 and the first-team squad will be perfectly created within the game. Player faces and individual skills will also be matched, while KONAMI and Valencia CF will also work together across a host of promotional activities.

The pair will launch a series of digital co-promotions throughout the year, with KONAMI contributing visuals from the game to assist in Valencia CF’s match day social media activities. Ubisoft® Invites Fans to Play with Its Biggest Gamescom Lineup Yet

Sydney, Australia — August 8, 2017 — Today, Ubisoft reveals its full lineup for Gamescom, the world’s largest consumer video game event, which takes place from August 22–26 in Cologne, Germany. Visitors will be able to play hands-on demos of Assassin’s Creed® Origins, Far Cry® 5, Mario + Rabbids® Kingdom Battle, South Park™: The Fractured But Whole™ and The Crew® 2 as well as compete against each other in For Honor® and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege.

Fan activities will be planned throughout the week at the Ubisoft booth (located in Hall 6.1, booth B020), including stage performances for Just Dance® 2018 and exclusive presentations, news, demos, trailers and giveaways. Visitors will also be able to buy Ubicollectibles items, including new Six Collection Chibi figurines, at the dedicated Ubisoft store which will be located hall 5.2 booth c-011.

The Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Pro League Season 2 Finals will be held at the Alpha Stage ESL Arena in Hall 9 during Gamescom. The semi-finals will take place on Friday, August 25, and the Season 2 finals will take place on Saturday, August 26. There will be broadcasts from 9:45 am to 8 pm CET (Saturday, 6:45 pm to Sunday, 5:00 am AEST), including matches, live showcases of new content, as well as developer and community panels.

Ubisoft will be rewarding some of its most dedicated fans, inviting 15 Star Players, chosen from Ubisoft Club members, to enjoy a VIP experience and the chance to meet and greet Ubisoft developers. In addition, anyone who plays games on the Ubisoft booth at Gamescom will receive exclusive in-game rewards for some Ubisoft titles and have the opportunity to spend time in the Ubisoft Lounge, located within the booth, for meet and greets, demos and discussions about games. Oasis Games Brings New Title to the West for PS VR, Transporting Players to an Enchanting Magical Tower

August 7, 2017 – Oasis Games Ltd, a leading independent Chinese publisher, today announced that its new Puzzle Platform VR game, LIGHT TRACER, will launch in the West this September for PlayStation®VR. In the indie-developed game, players will lead a princess to the top of an enigmatic, Babel-like tower to save her ailing people, using godlike powers and a Light Staff to guide the princess while manipulating objects to create a safe path for her.

LIGHT TRACER combines platform-style movement and clever puzzles with unique play mechanics and delightful artwork. In the game, the player controls a mysterious godlike entity who can wield a magical Light Staff in one hand while using its other hand to interact with the game world, helping the Princess reach the safety of the tower’s pinnacle. The Light Staff guides the Princess forward while the player manipulates the world to get a better view, interacts with object triggers and moves items to turn barriers into bridges. As the player progresses, the entity’s hidden relationship with the princess is gradually revealed.

“LIGHT TRACER brings a new style of platform game to PS VR players, offering a journey of challenging puzzles, colossal heights and artistic visuals,” said Alen Wu, Business Director at Oasis Games. “You’ll need both hands to save the Princess: one to guide her using your Light Staff and the other to spin and manipulate the mysterious tower to open a path to save her people from a tragic fate.”

The Princess’s journey comprises eight varied chapters ranging from ice to gravity puzzles to mechanical contraptions, and each level ends with a challenging boss fight requiring strategy as well as quick reflexes. Players will guide the Princess through action-platform stages with jumping, timing and enemies—but they must also engage with mind-bending puzzles in each level. Often the solution depends not only on your intellect, but also in the way you look at things!
