Hertfordshire, 17th August 2017 – Today KOEI TECMO Europe shared further information on how character relationships can affect the course of the narrative in GUST studio’s upcoming title, Blue Reflection, slated for release on the 29th September 2017 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and digitally on Windows PC via Steam®.

With the player embedded in the role of high-school student-turned-magical-Reflector, Hinako Shirai, Blue Reflection combines impressive battles with extensive simulation elements; including making new friends or hanging out with old ones, surfing the school’s online social network, joining after-school clubs, or spending some much-needed alone time!

Relationships are a key part of the game, and the closer Hinako gets with her friends the stronger their Bond becomes. This is extremely important, as Hinako will have to rely on their support when she fights the devastating Sephira. These friendships can be cultivated further via individual Bond Episodes, which take place on the school premises after class ends, or Date Events, which occur in locations such as the movie theatre, the culture festival, the general store etc., each of which represent a particular character’s unique and quirky personality. Socialising in this way will open up a selection of options for Hinako, including Essential Missions, which progress the narrative; Important Missions, which focus on character interaction; and Common Exploration. Successfully completing a mission forges a stronger link with particular characters, and grants experience which unlocks powerful new abilities.

Outside of personal contact, players can also choose to return home and relax before another challenging day. There, they can spend time around the house and learn more about Hinako’s past, as well as browse in the popular FreeSpace! App, an indispensable tool for connecting with friends and planning activities which has become commonplace at Hoshinomiya Girl’s School.

To showcase the deep character interaction systems introduced in today’s announcement, a gripping new trailer, screenshots and artwork have been released alongside images for a handful of Hinako’s classmates: the young tennis player Rin Sanada, the meddlesome, yet ditsy, Kei Narimiya, the pianist Fumio Taya, the free-spirited Kaori Mitsui, and the track team member Rika Yoshimura.

SEATTLE, WA – (August 17, 2017) – MetaArcade, the indie developer building a platform where players can create and publish their own RPG adventures, announced it has launched Tunnels & Trolls™ Adventures on the App Store and Google Play. Tunnels & Trolls Adventures, which is also planned for release on PC, Mac and Steam later this year, is a dungeon crawling RPG experience that brings to life new and classic quests from Tunnels & Trolls, the second RPG ever published. The game represents the first component of MetaArcade’s new platform, with the other being the upcoming Adventure Creator software that will allow players to create their own quests for the game.

Tunnels & Trolls Adventures is the first salvo in MetaArcade’s ambitious plans to bring narrative adventures to multiple platforms. The roleplaying game brings new and classic Tunnels & Trolls quests to life with player characters, choose your adventure-style decisions, thrilling die rolls, iconic imagery, sweet loot, immersive audio and more. In the free-to-play title, players will make choices and see how dice rolls affect their character’s success—or failure. Multiple unique characters can be created in the game, with experience and loot carrying through as players complete the various adventure modules. The game includes five quests on day one, and more adventures will be available after launch. The ability to add hearts to play every adventure as many times as you want is available via in-game purchase or by watching videos. Through the purchase of gems, players can also permanently unlock any adventure for unlimited play without using up hearts.

Adventures in the base game include Naked Doom and Grimtina’s Guard from Tunnels & Trolls creator, Ken St. Andre, Golden Dust, Red Death by RPG designer and Star Wars author, Michael Stackpole, and Buffalo Castle, the first solo adventure created for any RPG. More adventures will be added via game updates. The game features art from well-known fantasy artists, including Liz Danforth, artist and co-designer of Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls, and the late Josh Kirby, best known for creating the cover art for Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels.

Currently in development, the company’s Adventure Creator software will complement Tunnels & Trolls Adventures by allowing players to create, share and publish their own adventures on multiple platforms without any special technical knowledge—and for free. The software is currently being demoed for media at Gen Con 50, and will be shown at PAX West from September 1–4.

2017 Summoners War World Arena Championship registration now open for Europe finals to be held on October 7, 2017 in Paris

Berlin, August 16, 2017: The European finals for the 2017 Summoners War World Arena Championship will be held on October 7, 2017 in Paris. Players can now go to www.summonerswar.com and sign up for the event. Sign-ups close September 14 and participants will then be selected based on their ranking in Summoners War’s in-game World Arena.

A total of 16 players will be invited to play at Le Comedia, a theatre and cinema in central Paris, to play live in front of an audience. Games will also be streamed in different European languages, and players will compete for a total prize pool of $5.000 USD, limited edition figurines and two tickets to the grand final in the United States in November.

The Paris tournament is one of nine regional preliminaries to prepare for the U. S. grand final in November. Other tournaments will take place in Seoul, Hongkong, Bangkok, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Players from the Middle East, Latin America and Australia can qualify through an online-tournament. The total prize pool for this tournament series will be USD $100,000, with $50,000 of that prize amount to be won at the World Finals in the United States in November 2017.

Com2uS will fly in the participants to each regional final, and cover all travel expenses.

The venue for the European tournament will be Le Comedia, a theatre and cinema in the heart of Paris. Fans can attend the event for free, but registration is required as seats are limited. Details for schedule and registration will be announced together with the names of the 16 tournament participants. For those unable to attend the event in Paris, there will be live-streams in English, German, French, Russian and Italian.

Participants as well as users who signed up for the tournament will be given a small gift as a show of gratitude, while regional champions will win prize money, a rare figurine and a trip to the world finals in the United States.

SYDNEY, Australia — August 17, 2017 —Ubisoft® has announced that For Honor™ Season Three, “Grudge & Glory” is now available on all platforms. “Grudge & Glory” will bring the largest update to For Honor to date and includes two additional heroes, two extra maps, ranked play, new customization items for all heroes and gameplay updates. Maps and ranked play will be free for all players at the start of Season Three. Available tomorrow for season pass holders, the new heroes, the proud Highlander and the deadly Gladiator, will be available for all players on August 22 for 15,000 Steel each.

With the launch of Season Three, there has never been a better time to step onto the battlefield. Season Three’s offerings include:

  • Highlander (Viking Hybrid): Highlanders are patient heroes capable of switching between two different fighting forms. Their defensive form allows for counter-attacking and trading blows, while their offensive form empowers them to unleash their deadliest attacks at the expense of being able to block. Wielding the heaviest and longest sword in the game, the Highlander’s massive claymore gives them a deadly combination of strength and range.
  • Gladiator (Knight Assassin): Wielding a trident and shield, Gladiators have made a living off of killing for sport, and now bring their ruthlessness and skill to war. Equipped with little armor, they can punch their opponents to create separation to set up attacks and stuns. Their larger stamina meter and reduced cool down times make them extremely agile and dangerous opponents.
  • New Maps: Sentinel (view preview) and Viking Village (view preview) join the selection of multiplayer maps. Each map holds unique and deadly hazards never before seen in For Honor adding a new dynamic to multiplayer matches. Viking Village’s massive rolling barrel is a dynamic hazard able to squash heroes, while a ballista gives players the opportunity to take down even the mightiest heroes from above on Sentinel.
  • New Gear and Expanded Gear Rarity: A new level of gear rarity, legendary gear, will increase the maximum gear score from 144 to 180. Additionally, the max reputation for all heroes will increase from 30 to 40. New gear will also be added for all heroes, giving players more customization options.
  • Duel Ranked Tournament: The introduction of the 1v1 duel tournament feature will bring competitive ranked play to For Honor for all platforms. As players compete in tournaments, they will rise up the league rankings based on their performance and will receive in-game rewards.

Please note we have recently discovered a bug with our duel tournament feature that will require a fix. The good news is that we already have a fix in the testing stages, but the bad news is that we will need to delay release of the tournament feature until the fix has been finalized. The feature could go live as early as next week, but we are still waiting for confirmation on testing and certification. We will keep you updated via Twitter and our forums. For Honor Season Three “Grudge & Glory” represents the beginning of large game-changing updates currently planned in the development schedule. Neo-Victorian RPG from Coin Operated Games Reveals Author/Cartoonist Paul Noth as Story Writer 

Auburn, New Hampshire – August 16, 2017 – Coin Operated Games announces today that its upcoming Neo-Victorian RPG Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates, will be coming to PC via Steam starting on October 4, 2017.  Developed by a team of industry veterans from such influential companies as Crytek, Creative Assembly, Codemasters and Digital Reality, Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates is a top-down isometric RPG that takes place in an alternate industrial New York circa 1911.

Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates depicts a troubled New York in which the entire city is flooded by rising oceans and the citizens now face a new threat: the fresh water pipes have stopped and there is no water to drink!

Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates features an original story penned by renowned writer/comic artist Paul Noth, a staff cartoonist for The New Yorker magazine, where his work has appeared regularly since 2004. He created the Emmy-nominated animated series “Pale Force” for Late Night with Conan O’Brien and was animation consultant for Saturday Night Live. He’s also developed shows for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Nickelodeon, and his trilogy of middle-grade novels will be published by Bloomsbury, starting in April of 2018 with “How to Sell Your Family to the Aliens.”

“After writing for different media throughout my career, I’m very excited to be working with Coin Operated Games to write their video game script,” said Paul Noth. “The world that has been created in Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates is amazing and truly unique, so I’m thrilled to be able to develop a story set in this new world.”

Although set in a fictional, alternate history, the game pays homage to historic accounts by adding authentic items such as patent medicines including poisons or tonics made from dangerous ingredients. Many of the games’ objectives and side quests will tie directly into the experiences that someone in the 19th century would have. The game’s authenticity reflects scenes from New York circa 1900, while tying the storyline to current day themes such as global warming and the rising of the oceans.

“We are very honored that Paul is working with us on the storyline for Empyre: Lords of the Sea Gates,” said John Randall, Creative Director of Empyre. “He is a world class writer, and has been invaluable to us with helping to shape the direction of our games’ signature Neo-Victorian story and experience.”

Early Access and Game Preview Program owners of We Happy Few have been able to explore a portion of the procedurally generated world, collect and craft items, and interact with the Joy-obsessed society of Wellington Wells through stealth, combat, and conformity. When the game launches in full with the help of Gearbox Publishing, players will experience how these improved mechanics come together and give rise to three protagonists, each with their own reason for giving up artificial happiness.

Life in Technicolour Update

Today marks the release of the major Life in Technicolour update on Steam and Xbox One. Life in Technicolour brings new Joy effects, improved user interface, reworked AI, and more. This is the final major update We Happy Few will receive while in Early Access as Compulsion Games sets its sights on the full release.

Seoul, Korea (August 9, 2017)  – Netmarble Games Corp., the fastest-growing mobile game company in Asia, today released a new update for its hit mobile title MARVEL Future Fight that includes three new characters: SPIDER-MAN 2099, ABSORBING MAN and TITANIA. In addition, four new uniforms have debuted: Yondu now has a uniform based on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Kid Kaiju has a MONSTERS UNLEASHED! (MFF VARIANT) comic cover uniform, Spider-Gwen has received a GWENDOLYNE STACY uniform, and Thanos has a uniform from the SECRET WARS: INFINITY comics.

MARVEL Future Fight has additionally made various improvements to the end-game “Shadowland” content, such as adding five additional stages after the 25th floor, increasing the overall difficulty level, and adding a new battle mode with a manual combat system. In this new battle mode, players will form two teams with up to six characters and play a first half, a second half, and overtime. The first team to conquer two rounds wins the game.

Players will also receive customized challenge options every day that vary in difficulty depending on their combat power. The stronger power that their characters boast, the more difficult their challenges will be. This gives every player the fun of carrying out demanding missions, no matter how strong they are.

“We’re always making it a point to make the player experience as enjoyable as possible,” said Seungwon Lee, Chief Global officer at Netmarble Games. “With this update, we not only introduced new characters, uniforms, and battle modes, but we also made various improvements to make the gameplay more engaging and accessible.”

Players will encounter the Mad Titan, Thanos, one of the game’s most challenging villains, in World Boss Ultimate mode.

Additionally, MARVEL Future Fight has increased convenience by combining the two guide quests for new players—called Journey of Growth and Hero’s Journey—into one quest. In addition, players now can directly collect rewards from the alarm that notifies them of the successful completion of guide quests.

The full list of characters joining MARVEL Future Fight includes:

  • SPIDER-MAN 2099 – A Spider-Man from the year 2099. He has the same physical abilities as Spider-Man, but wears a suit equipped with all kinds of futuristic gear.
  • ABSORBING MAN – A frequent Marvel villain with a long history. His weapon is a ball and chain, and he is able to absorb the properties of any object that he touches to alter his own body.
  • TITANIA – Married to ABSORBING MAN, she has powerful physical strength and is adept at hand-to-hand combat.

New Gameplay Trailer and Full Feature List Released 

LARKSPUR, Calif. – August 16th, 2017 With the impending release of F1 2017, the official videogame of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, Codemasters® and Deep Silver have today released a new trailer highlighting the thrilling racing that fans will soon be enjoying.

Releasing worldwide on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one entertainment system by Microsoft, and Windows PC via Steam on August 25th, F1 2017 is the most feature-rich game in the franchise’s history.

Lee Mather, Creative Director for F1 2017 commented, “We cannot wait for fans to play F1 2017. This is the biggest F1 game we have ever created. Not only do we have the addition of classic cars and a greatly expanded career mode but we have made a number of improvements to the online experience, including introducing spectator spots which should be great for league play.

“We also think that Championships is going to be a real hit with fans as it offers new ways to play the game with different rule sets and structures compared to the normal World Championship. It really adds to the variety in the game.”

MASSIVELY EXPANDED CAREER:

Players can make history as they hone their skills and develop their car over multiple seasons in the Career. First, they create their driver by selecting from a range of avatars, including female drivers for the first time, helmet design (including community created versions), race number and then the team they want to begin their career with. The Research & Development system is heavily expanded, with 115 upgrades now available, while the player also has to manage their engine and gearbox. Earn resource points by taking part in new Practice Programmes including ‘Fuel Management’ and ‘Race Pace’. The classic cars also take centre stage in the enhanced career mode as players are invited to race them in the new Invitational events.

NEW ‘CHAMPIONSHIPS’ MODE AND GAMEPLAY TYPES:

Championship mode allows players to experience unique race events following different rules and structures from the official Championship in both modern and classic cars. For example, the Classic Street Series sees you race the iconic cars around the six streets circuits on the calendar.

NEW CLASSIC F1 CARS:

Get behind the wheel of 12* iconic F1 cars from the history of the sport. The classic cars are also integrated into the career mode, and can be raced in both Single Class and Multi Class Races. Players can race the following cars:

As well as the 20 official 2017 circuits, there are four additional shortened track layouts in the game for the first time: Britain, Bahrain, USA and Japan. Players can also race the stunning Monaco circuit at night.

ENHANCED MULTIPLAYER:

Race either the modern or classic cars online with a full grid of 20 players in both public and private sessions. The game now offers two dedicated “spectator” spots as well as improved multiplayer matchmaking, new online stats and levelling system, and all multiplayer session types.

Consumers who pre-order or purchase ‘Day One’ copies of F1 2017 will have access to the iconic 1988 McLaren MP4/4, as part of the ‘F1 2017 Special Edition.’ Alternatively, the McLaren MP4/4 car will be available to be purchased at a later date. The eleven other classic cars are available in all editions of the game.
