ARK: Survival Evolved Launches on Windows 10 Store with Xbox One Cross-Play

ARK: Survival Evolved has launched on the Windows 10 store. The game costs $89.95 AUD or $59.99 USD. The expansion packs for ARK: Survival Evolved are also being sold on the Windows 10 store, including the recently released “Aberration” expansion pack.

While the game first launched on Windows via Steam, the Windows 10 Store version is actually a Xbox Play Anywhere title. Those who own the game already on Xbox One will automatically have access to the game on the Windows 10 store. Achievements, saves, DLC, and Gamerscore will transfer automatically between the Windows 10 store version and the Xbox One version. Additionally, Windows 10 and Xbox One players will be able to play on the same server. Unfortunately, those who own ARK: Survival Evolved through Steam will not have access to the Xbox Play Anywhere features.

Fatshark announced that they will be bringing Warhammer: Vermintideto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was previously announced for Windows via Steam with an estimated launch date of Q1 2018. No word if the console version will launch side by side with the PC version, but console pre-orders are set to kick off in 2018. A beta test is planned, with sign ups for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One already open.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 pits players once again against the Skaven hordes as one of five heroes; however, a new enemy is entering the fray. The Chaos army is joining forces with the Skaven, making the Empire’s lands more dangerous than ever before. Vermintide 2 expands on the melee-focused first person co-op action by introducing three new career paths for each of the five heroes, a heroic deed system, and an improved loot system.

Steam Winter Sale Starts Tomorrow

Time to crack open that piggy bank once again! It’s only been a month since we had a major sale on Steam but holidays are almost here and you know what that means. Spend all that hard earned money on too many games you might play once, in a distant future.

Thanks to the leaks we knew the dates for both sales for quite some time and the Winter one is due for tomorrow. The Autumn sale had a neat little thing of nominating our favorite PC games in different categories, just like last year.  So expect a finale of that event, time-limited winter sale badges to craft and most importantly – plenty of deals to drown yourself in. Steam Winter Sale is expected to run from December 21st to January 4th of next year.

MOVE OR DIE BRINGS HOLIDAY FRIENDSHIP-RUINING SPIRIT WITH THE GIANT ‘GREEN AND GOLD’ UPDATE COMING DECEMBER 21

MOVE OR DIE BRINGS HOLIDAY FRIENDSHIP-RUINING SPIRIT WITH THE GIANT ‘GREEN AND GOLD’ UPDATE COMING DECEMBER 21

A Sleighful of Awesome New Characters, Game Modes, and the Debut of the “Not-A-Store” Item System – No Stinking Loot Boxes Here!

BUCHAREST, ROMANIA – DECEMBER 14, 2017 – The furious minds of Those Awesome Guys announced that their holiday content update for Move or Die – the ‘Green & Gold Update’ – will be available on December 21. Featuring a plethora of wonderful, friendship-destroying, holiday cheer, the ‘Green & Gold Update’ introduces the brand new “Not-A-Store” Item System that completely reinvents how new characters, game modes, Mutators, and other new features are unlocked. And as expected with major updates, the ‘Green & Gold Update’ contains a huge collection of new insane characters, game modes, Mutators, as well as new ways to customize your character, never before seen in Move or Die.

“The Green & Gold Update is by far our largest content update since Move Or Die was released and one where I wanted to send a loud and clear message – microtransactions SUCK,” eloquently states Nicolae Berbece, founder and lead developer for Those Awesome Guys. “For every Move or Die update that we’ve launched, it’s always been free. Game updates should be free and that’s something I’m confident to say we all agree on (you know, except big AAA studio executives).”

Move Or Die demonstrates how deadly Tetris can be with the new Tetrominos Game Mode.

Move or Die is not just the title of the game, but a fundamental gameplay rule: gamers who fail to move will see their health bar diminish rapidly. Players will battle each other in an ever-growing list of mini-game modes that change every 20-30 seconds. Each challenge has its own outrageous level design and rule set to promote hours of laughter and good old friendship-destroying fun. Win battles and unlock insane new character skins, Mutator game modifiers that dramatically change how mini-games are played, and even crazier game modes. When gamers are done beating friends on the couch, jump online and challenge other players to see who will rage-quit first.

New Extinction Trailer Demos the Game’s Skills

Iron Galaxy Executive Producer Derek Neal sat down to talk about Extinction’s skill tree and how it will affect the game’s strategy. Hero Avil has a wide variety of rune and weapon abilities to counter the massive armoured ogres of Extinction. There are a variety of armours that the ogres, known as the Ravenii, wear. For example, spiked armour will damage Avil if he lands on it, so he will need skills like Rune Gravity to give players better control of Avil while he is in the air. Of course, some ogres are simply too powerful to take down at all. Brightsteel armour cannot be destroyed, so players will need to think up of creative solutions to achieve their goals when facing a fully decked out Ravenii. Accompanying the trailer is a new infographic that breaks down all the armour types.

Extinction is an action RPG set in the kingdom of Dolorum that is overrun by the Ravenii after years of peace. Avil is a member of an ancient order that has prepared for the return of the Ravenii. Called back into action, Avil is on a mission to save the townsfolk and the cities from destruction by killing the Ravenii invaders. To do this, Avil will climb the massive Ravenii in battle, destroy their armour, and strike their weak points to bring them crashing to the ground. Extinction is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in Spring 2018 (Autumn 2018 in the Southern Hemisphere).
