After keeping their remasters exclusively to the Sony systems and PC Square Enix has announced plans to finally bring some of them to other consoles. Today the publisher announced plans to bring Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster to the Xbox One and Switch on April 16th with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age arriving on those same consoles on April 30th.
Both of these releases will be released both physically and digitally for each platform with current retail listings pricing the games at $49.99 a piece. Those who do not wish to wait for these releases can currently find them all available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
With Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition set to be released worldwide tomorrow for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC Bandai Namco has released a launch trailer for the game showing off the various improvements made to the game as well as a number of the features that have been added to this version that were never available in the previous Western release.
This includes being able to add Flynn Scifo and Patty Fleur to your party and explore their new storylines, wear different costumes that were never released, and of course offer an upgraded screen resolution with smoothed graphics. Check out the trailer below.
We last heard of Catherine Classic being rated by the ESRB hinting that a new version of the game would be releasing sometime in the future and now Sega has that immediate release for PC gamers. Sega has released Catherine Classic on Steam where it is priced at $19.99 and will offer a temporary free bonus to those who purchase it that includes avatars, a digital soundtrack sampler, and some wallpapers.
To go along with this release the company also gave us a new trailer for the PC release and you can check it out below. It is worth noting that this is a great way to get some experience with the game before Catherine: Full Body is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 sometime this year in the West.
Bungie announced on their blog today that their eight year partnership with Activision is coming to a close. Initially, the partnership ensured Bungie would have enough money and resources to create the brand new franchise in Destiny after years of working on Halo. Now, the two companies will be parting ways as Bungie feels they now have the resources to handle both development and publishing in house.
As part of the separation, Bungie will take over publishing duties for the Destiny franchise in the coming days. In practical terms, gamers probably won’t notice the split. Online services will not be interrupted and Destiny 2 will remain on Battle.net according to Blizzard.
Destiny 2 will still receive full support on BattleNet and we do not anticipate any disruption to our services or your gameplay experience. https://t.co/FFOE1iae3R
Bungie re-committed to supporting Destiny 2 in their letter, promising to stick with the game’s post-launch road map. Additionally, Destiny 2 players can look forward to some unannounced content, including seasonal experiences.
In a bit of unique news for this game, Idea Factory International has announced that they will be offering a season pass for Death end re;Quest. The season pass will be priced at $19.99 with a $5 discount if you are a PlayStation Plus member and will be available both separately from the game as well as part of a digital deluxe bundle that will be offered for $74.99 and include early access to a summer Swimsuit bundle.
To go along with this news a few new screenshots for Death end re;Quest were released that show off the game’s real world investigative elements that shows how that section of the game will be told through the style of a visual novel while not inside of the virtual online MMORPG “World’s Odyssey.”
You can check out those images below and keep an eye out for the game when it is released on the PlayStation 4 on February 19th in North America and February 22nd in Europe.
PQube Games has had a bit of good news and some real bad news for fans of visual novels on consoles today. The good news is that they have a release date for the PlayStation 4 version of Song of Memories while the bad news is that the Switch version of the game has been cancelled completely. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will be released in North America and Europe on February 1st while the cancellation is apparently due to “development complications” according to PQube.
The publisher went on to say that due to these issues they “wouldn’t be able to bring you the game to the level of quality that we strive to deliver.” To go along with this news a handful of screenshots and a short trailer were also released and you can see them below.

and Australia this January
LOS ANGELES – 9 Jan.,
2019 – Sleep Tight, the twin-stick, base-building shooter wrapped
in blankets of nostalgia, will haunt the European and Australian Nintendo
Switch™ eShops 24 Jan. 2019.

new high scores and unlock more characters, all of which come with their own
distinctive play styles.

we’ve seen it strike a nostalgic chord with players,” said Maxx Burman,
creative director, We Are Fuzzy. “We are happy to share that feeling with the
amazing Switch community in Europe.”

5: Mercenaries is modeled after the gameplay style from MechWarrior 2:
Mercenaries, granting players the freedom to run their campaigns how they
choose. In MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, pilots will build, manage, and guide
their own mercenary unit through a multi-year campaign during the sprawling
Third and Fourth Succession Wars.
Whether
braving missions alone, alongside AI-controlled pilots, or with the help of up
to three friends via co-op play, pilots will face complicated situations with
no perfect solution as they choose which contracts to accept, where in the
galaxy to direct their attention, and how to balance repairs or upgrades with
maintaining their unit’s precious resources.
Neon-Soaked Arena Brawler Hyper Jam Dashes Onto
PS4, Xbox One, PC 12 Feb.
MELBOURNE, VICTORIA – 8
Jan, 2019 –Hyper Jam, the
neon-soaked arena brawler from Bit Dragon, is delivering a one-two-three punch
with a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam release on 12 Feb, 2019.
Challenge friends and
strangers to furious local or online multiplayer matches for up to four players,
trading blows on vibrant ‘80s-inspired arenas using a suite of deadly weapons
ranging from katanas to rocket launchers, while upgrading yourself with a
variety of game-changing perks that are drafted between rounds.
In battle, players will
use their combat prowess and situational awareness to strike other players and
make use of environmental hazards like speeding trains in a Neo-Tokyo subway or
the treacherous rooftop ledges of a sun-drenched Miami hotel. But emerging
victorious isn’t as simple as racking up kills, as winners will need to reach
the score limit and survive a full round to triumph
Take on players from all
over the world with cross-platform play that allows the PC community to throw
down with challengers playing on consoles in online free-for-all death-match
games.
Prepare for the battles
to come by selecting from a range of persistent perks that provide new
abilities. A scoreboard at the end of each round determines the order of the
perk draft – whoever is coming last gets the first pick of perks and the winner
takes whatever’s left. While everyone begins at a level playing field, fighters
will enhance their skills the longer matches draw on, stacking and combining
powers to create wholly distinct builds. For example, a player with the
Pyrogenesis and Vampirism perks can set others ablaze and recover health from
the burn wounds.
“Hyper Jam is an explosive arena brawler that combines the precision and satisfying feeling of traditional competitive fighting games with a gritty and splashy neon ‘80s aesthetic,” said Roman Maksymyschyn, Director, Bit Dragon. “Our team has had an absolute blast developing and playtesting this game, and we’re just about ready to share it with the world. Look out for it soon!”
Backed by a killer
synthwave soundtrack featuringCarpenter Brut,Dance With the Dead, and
other fan favorites, Hyper Jam keeps hearts racing with great music and
intense skill-based gameplay influenced by competitive fighting games.
Hyper Jam will be available in English, French, German,
Italian, and Spanish for 14.99 USD / 22.45 AUD / 14.99 EUR on Xbox One, 14.99
USD on PlayStation 4 and 12.99 USD / 18.50 AUD / 10.79 EUR on Steam.
Bit Dragon is a small indie studio based in Melbourne, Australia. The group of talented young developers are dedicated to crafting unforgettable and highly-polished multiplayer experiences and look forward to releasing their first title to the world in 2019.
