Dragon Star Varnir Details Gifts, Elixirs, and Madness

More information and a new set of screenshots for Dragon Star Varnir has been released by Idea Factory International and this time around the company is detailing gifting items, elixirs, and the madness that can infect the Witches. In the Witch’s Room, you can gift items to the witches that you’ve obtained from dungeons and shops. Each witch has their own personal preference, so if you give the right witch the right present, their affinity level will go up. If their affinity gets to a certain level, a special event will occur.

Elixirs can be brewed using dragon parts, such as claws, skin, bone, eyes, and livers, you’ve obtained through battle. As for madness, the moment it takes over a witch a cruel fate of despair will await them. Throughout the game, players will be able to make decisions that impact the insanity levels of the witches. The decisions made can impact what ending you receive, so choose wisely.

You can check out these screenshots below and keep an eye out for Dragon Star Varnir when it is released on the PlayStation 4 on June 11th in North America and June 14th in Europe.

Rage 2 Launch Trailer with a Twist

With Rage 2 set to be released next week Bethesda, Avalanche Studios, and id Software have opted to release a launch trailer that starts out fairly standard by giving players a look at a little of everything that the game has to offer and then goes and flashes all the way back to the initial leak of the game, the “lame ending” of the first game, a cat licking a lollipop, and finally the big bang.

You can check out the video below and keep an eye out for Rage 2 when it is released next week on May 14th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne Expansion Coming to Consoles September 6th

Capcom announced Monster Hunter World will be getting its first expansion pack later this year. Entitled “Iceborne,” PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will get their chance to explore the new snow covered biome on September 6th. Just like previous PC content, PC owners will have to wait until this winter (spring in southern hemisphere regions)
for “Iceborne.”

“Iceborne” is a full blown expansion containing a new biome, a variety of new monster, the Master Rank difficulty, a new story line, and quality of life enhancements. The expansion’s story is set shortly after the events of the main game, where the hunters have just discovered icy Hoarfrost Reach. The new area will start out small, but will eventually grow into the largest zone in the game as players progress through the story.

New gameplay changes are coming with “Iceborne.” Some are quality of life changes like the ability to use the Slinger with a weapon equipped. Others add more content, such as new combos for all 14 weapon types.

“Iceborne” will be priced at $39.99 USD as a DLC. A digital deluxe version containing the expansion and exclusive cosmetics will be priced at $49.99 USD. A new Monster Hunter World Master Edition will also launch, bundling the game and the “Iceborne” expansion for $59.99 USD. This will be the only pack available at physical retailers.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Announced for October 4

After a bit of a leaking problem Ubisoft and Ubisoft Paris have announced that they will be bringing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 4th with those who pre-order the game gaining access to a beta that will be held sometime before release.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will be set somewhere in the South Pacific on the remote Auroa Archipelago, a vast land of diverse biomes that range from lush rainforests to snowy peaks. Now, it’s home to Skell Technology, an enigmatic technology giant. Initially interested in a remote testing site for its autonomous drones, the Silicon Valley company eventually turned Auroa into its “World 2.0,” a high-tech, high-security utopia of sustainable eco-cities and robotics research.

The main enemy this time will be The Wolves, perhaps the deadliest enemy yet as they are former Ghosts who have betrayed their country. Led by the charismatic Colonel Cole D. Walker they have taken control of Auroa for an unknown purpose. Now in control of Auroa’s powerful drone technology The Wolves and their allies will hunt you mercilessly across Auroa.

For those who want a quick look at what Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will have to offer you can check out both the announcement trailer and over thirteen minutes of gameplay footage below.

Sir Dan has his work cut out for him as he will need to be busy avoiding the boulder-spitting gargoyles of the Hilltop Mausoleum, outrunning the menacing farmers of the Scarecrow Fields, and fending off giant worker ants in the Ant Caves.

Although the journey will bring you face to face with hordes of unspeakable enemies, a whole host of heroes will be there to help guide you on your way and provide Sir Dan with an ever-expanding repertoire of weapons and shields to aid him in his quest. Everything from enchanted swords to gigantic hammers, crossbows, throwing knives and axes are at your disposal, but you’ll need to use them wisely, lest you lose your head.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne™ Expansion for Capcom’s Best-Selling Title of All Time Coming September 6th

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne™ Expansion for Capcom’s Best-Selling Title of All Time Coming September 6th
Expansion’s Enormous Ice Locale Sets the Stage for New Storyline, Monsters, Gameplay Options and More; Monster Hunter: World™ Gets Free Trial and New Content Update for Consoles in May

Sydney, AU – May 9, 2019 – Today in a special Monster Hunter World: Iceborne™ Spring Update broadcast, Capcom announced new details for the highly anticipated massive expansion to Monster Hunter: World™, the best-selling Capcom title of all time with more than 12 million units shipped worldwide adding to the series total of more than 53 million units to date. This gargantuan follow-up rivals the gameplay volume from the original release, and will be available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X, globally on September 6, 2019. Several details were revealed during the broadcast including the first look at Monster Hunter World: Iceborne with information on the new icy setting, monsters, gameplay options, purchase, and the latest updates for Monster Hunter: World.

The Iceborne expansion builds on every aspect of Monster Hunter: World, starting with an all-new story that picks up after the main game and whisks hunters away to a newly discovered chilly locale called Hoarfrost Reach. The snow-covered terrain offers an ecosystem that contrasts areas in the main game and progressively expands with the story. Iceborne is set to offer the largest region in the game so far, presenting hunters a wealth of new content with even more quests to face than in the original release.

Iceborne also introduces the new higher difficulty Master Rank, a brand-new quest tier that makes new and existing monsters more ferocious than ever. The extreme cold is also the setting for brand new frigid climate foes such as the horned brute wyvern Banbaro and the snow-buried Beotodus. These interweave with returning fan favorites such as the swift-attacking Nargacuga who adds some dangerous new tricks to his trademark move set as he joins the Monster Hunter: World line-up. Leading the pack in Iceborne is the mysterious new flagship monster Velkhana, an elder dragon with powerful ice attacks that is a pervasive threat in the new story.

To ready players to face the expansion’s fierce hunts, several new gameplay options have been added to broaden the player’s combat repertoire, creating opportunities for exciting new hunting strategies. The Slinger can now be used while the main weapon is drawn, regardless of weapon type. New features have also been added for the Slinger such as the Clutch Claw used to grapple onto monsters with more direct control and the Flinch Shot which unloads Slinger ammo to stun monsters. Each of the 14 weapon types will also get new combos and new elements, offering additional depth to master in combat.

The Monster Hunter: World base game is required and while Iceborne players will be able to enjoy some of the gameplay options such as the Slinger and weapon updates right away, they must have completed the main story through Hunter Rank 16 in order to access the new Iceborne story and quests.

For players who have not yet tried Monster Hunter: World, now is the perfect time to dive into the game ahead of the Iceborne expansion. A free trial is available on PS4™ from today through May 20, 2019. This will provide plenty of opportunities to try out a variety of quests, craft and upgrade equipment, and join in on the game’s trademark cooperative multiplayer action with existing owners of the game. Any saved progress transfers over to the main game, so new players are encouraged to start their hunting journey before the expansion’s release.

In the meantime, for existing Monster Hunter: World players on console, the last new content update for the base game will celebrate the aggressive flagship monster Nergigante who will finally appear in the formidable Arch-Tempered form for a limited time from May 11 UTC. Defeating this ultimate challenge will yield the powerful Nergigante γ (gamma) armour.

Capcom will have additional information about Monster Hunter World: Iceborne at E3 this June so stay tuned. And as always, happy hunting!

BECOME AN ELITE SPECIAL OPERATIONS SOLDIER BEHIND ENEMY LINES IN Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® BREAKPOINT

The Ghosts Face Walker, Ex-Brother in Arms, Portrayed by Critically Acclaimed Actor Jon Bernthal, and his Lethal Wolves Unit

Sydney, Australia May 10, 2019 — Today Ubisoft® announced Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon©Breakpoint, the latest instalment in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® franchise, will be available October 4 on the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. After successfully rebooting the Ghost Recon formula with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands, Ubisoft Paris* has created an entirely new adventure, putting players back in the boots of the Ghosts, an Elite US Special Operations Unit. But this time they are stranded behind enemy lines, facing their toughest enemy to date.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse and hostile open world entirely playable solo or in up to four-player co-op. Players will discover Auroa, a mysterious island where the most technically advanced facilities meet wild and untamed nature. Home to drone creators, tech giant Skell Technology, Auroa has fallen into the wrong hands and all contact has been lost.

The Wolves, a lethal ex–US Military unit of former Ghosts gone rogue, have taken over the island. Led by Nomad’s ex-brother-in-arms, Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker, portrayed by Jon Bernthal, they have reprogrammed Skell’s drones into killing machines and are ready to use them, no matter the casualties. Nomad and the Ghosts are sent in on a recon mission, but their helicopters are shot down. Injured, without support, and hunted down, players will live an intense military experience as they fight to survive, take down the Wolves and regain control of Auroa.

Steep slopes, accumulating injuries, and fatigue are new challenges for players to tackle as they test their survival skills in the varied terrains of Auroa. To overcome adversity, players will enjoy total freedom to accomplish their missions and have plenty of tactical options and tools at their disposal, including a set of new military features. They will be able to carry enemies and teammates’ bodies, blend into their environment with prone camo and set up camp with teammates in the bivouac to manage equipment, change classes, and fine-tune their strategies.

They will also be able to choose among thousands of customization combinations to create their perfect Ghost, and keep their character and progression through the game in both the main campaign and Player-versus-player (PvP), available at launch.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will include a robust post-launch content support plan, with regular updates after launch. New story arcs, classes and features will be continuously added, and for the first time in a Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon game, a new type of endgame content: Raids.

Additionally, Ubisoft announced the Gold, Ultimate and Wolves Collector’s Editions** of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint as well as the standalone Ubicollectibles® figurine of Nomad:

  • The Gold Edition will include the base game and the Year 1 Pass.
