Keep it steady with a brand new trailer,
focused on the game’s titular contracts!
WARSAW, Poland (August 16, 2019) — Today, CI Games is excited to officially announce that Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will be available everywhere with a global release date of November 22, 2019. Launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, this represents a return to form for the Sniper Ghost Warrior series, offering up best-in-class sniping and empowering players with more ways to take down their targets than ever before. Get the inside scoop on a brand new region and a wealth of new tactical tools to up your game with in the latest trailer!
While the initial gameplay reveal introduced viewers to Siberia’s
wilderness, the latest trailer takes place in a harbor that’s sure to be a
sniper’s delight. Going by the name of Black Gold, this is the second of five
unique regions present in the game, each based on actual locations deep in the
heart of Siberia. Defined by its wide-open spaces, Black Gold is the perfect
locale to test out Contracts’
brand new sniping mechanic, the Dynamic Reticle System, which enables players
to better manage the ballistics and atmospheric conditions of their every shot.
Given Contracts’
more realistic approach to combat with its focus on sniping, stealth, and
tactical thinking, the Dynamic Reticle System isn’t the only new tool available
to players. From pilotable Scout Drones and integrated binoculars with a
built-in recon system, to their Augmented Reality Mask and special bullet
types, players have a whole arsenal of new gadgets to get familiar with.
Whether at long range or in the heat of a firefight, these new tools serve to
enhance the rich, tactical gameplay the Sniper
Ghost Warrior series is known for.
At the core of all of this is the brand new contracts system.
Scattered across each region are main contracts which task players with
executing key targets in order to progress to new regions. While there are a
total of 25 main contracts that comprise the core campaign narrative, each
region acts as a sniping sandbox, densely-packed with side-objectives to
complete and ambient tasks to uncover. With a focus on emergent combat
encounters, no two deployments play out the same. This encourages players to
tackle contracts multiple times as they earn funds to upgrade their gear in
between contracts.
From an in-depth single-player campaign to a range of multiplayer
options, Sniper Ghost Warrior
Contracts features a wealth of different ways to play while keeping
you on your toes with every single encounter. Wipe down your scope and throw on
a jacket, because the harsh Siberian wilderness is set to challenge even the
most seasoned on sniper.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will launch
in November 22, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. For more information about the Sniper Ghost Warrior series,

Ion Fury Explodes out of Early Access, Launches
on Steam, GOG and the 3D Realms Store Today
DALLAS, TX – August 15,
2019 –Ion Fury, the old-school first-person shooter developed
by Voidpoint and published by 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment, kisses Early Access goodbye and launches on
Steam, GOG and the 3D Realms store today, with Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation® 4
and Xbox One coming later.
Despite permanent martial law, the crime-riddled Neo D.C. is under attack: Dr. Jadus Heskel and his army of cyborg cultists leave destruction in their wake. Corporal Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, leader of the Global Defense Force, stops to get sloshed at a nightclub when an explosion interrupts her mid-drink. Equal parts furious and foul-mouthed, Shelly sets out to take Heskel down.
Sprint through a
cyberpunk city full of Heskel’s horrific creations and eradicate everyone and
everything in Shelly’s way. Wield her ever-faithful 18-round triple-barreled
revolver, Loverboy, and duck and weave through the streets. Paint the city red
with dual fire-spitting Penetrator submachine guns, perform fancy trick shots
with Bowling Bombs, wreak havoc with the all-powerful Ion Bow, or level the
block with Clusterpucks.
Each open level hides
secrets galore, so in between reducing foes to gibs n’ gore, search for ammo,
deadly new armaments and extra armor to make the next fight just a little bit
easier. Labyrinthine levels encourage exploration so keep an open eye while
searching for that next keycard, and enjoy glorious pixelated goodness.
Built to be a
retro shooter instead of simply emulating what made them great, Ion Fury is
fueled by the same Build engine that powered classics including Duke Nukem
3D, Blood and Shadow Warrior. Ion Fury delivers fast-paced action
fused with modern touches such as headshots, auto-saves, modern physics, and
widescreen support. Instagibbed cyber-cultists have never looked so
satisfyingly…splashy.
In addition to the
campaign, Ion Fury comes with Mapster32, an updated and modernized
version of the integrated level editor offered with Duke Nukem 3D back
in the day. Forge anything ranging from kill-rooms with unlimited ammo to
twisting hallways filled with secrets. Have a favorite map from the Duke and
Shadow Warrior days? Load it right up in Ion Fury and enjoy the
modern additions introduced by Voidpoint. Post levels directly on Steam
Workshop so everyone can enjoy them.
“For the first time in over 20 years, 3D Realms
is back at its roots, doing what we’re doing best. Our community has been so
patient and excited for Ion Fury,” said Frederik Schreiber, VP at 3D
Realms. “We are so pleased to bring Ion Fury to our fans so they
can experience a fresh take on classic ‘90s destruction for themselves.”
Ion Fury is available on Steam, GOG and the 3D Realms Store in English for $24.99. Join 3D Realms for a
digital launch party on Discord at noon (PST).
Founded 30 years ago, 3D
Realms was the publisher, developer and creator of many legendary gaming
franchises, most still going strong: Wolfenstein 3D, Duke
Nukem, Shadow Warrior, Max Payne and Prey.
Voidpoint was founded by
veterans of the Build Engine modding scene and is comprised of worldwide talent
with decades of combined development experience. The studio is proud to present
Ion Fury as their debut title.
