Remaining semi-pro and professional squads qualify for Semifinals of largest mobile esports tournament

LOS ANGELES – Oct. 1, 2019 – Earlier this week, 32 PUBG MOBILE teams from different regions around the world dropped into the hit mobile battle royale for the PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Fall Split Group Stage. After rigorous competition across all four of the game’s desolate battlefields, 24 teams outshined the rest to secure their place in the Semifinals.

The top 16 squads will then move on the compete in the official Regional Finals competition starting from mid-October for their chance to win the PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Fall Split Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Community members can tune in to the official PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube channel to witness the tournaments live.

The PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 provides a path for aspiring semi-pro to become esports professionals and the chance of a total prize pool of $2.5 million USD. The PMCO Fall Split Prelim matches from Saturday, Nov. 23 through Monday, Nov. 25 and the Global Finals from Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 1 will take place at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Fans who wish to attend the events live onsite can obtain tickets online beginning in late October.

MOSCOW Oct. 1, 2019 — Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Unfrozen are releasing their first major content update to support Iratus: Lord of the Dead. The dark fantasy roguelike RPG remained a top seller on Steam for days after its early access launch, shattering Daedalic’s own records, and will be discounted by 25% on Steam for 48 hours to celebrate the update. Both the update and sale will be available starting at 1pm ET/10am PT today.

The free patch adds two new minions to the ranks of the evil necromancer Iratus — the Unfrozen (available to everyone) and the Infested (exclusive to owners of the Supporter Pack). Former allies of Iratus from the cold north, the Unfrozen had no choice but to turn themselves into frozen husks. While not quite as powerful as the great necromancer himself, these ancient beings now serve Iratus with their ice magic. The Infested are feeble zombies whose bodies are rife with diseases and plagues which they can spread among the enemy, wreaking havoc on their morale.

In addition, the free update introduces three new enemies — the Shadowelf, Ataman and Gargoyle — who will require new strategies to overcome. The new “Endless Rise” mode is available to all players who crave a unique challenge by diving into never-ending dungeons. Furthermore, the update comes in with new spells for Iratus, dozens of new artifacts, and a variety of balancing and UI improvements.

Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator Gameplay Footage

Nearly everyone loves a great guest character being added into a fighting game and the NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have shown off what their latest guest fighter, revealed back in August, will look like when added to the game. This new footage shows off Terminator T-800s various moves that include some up-close brawling, the heavy use of a sawed off shotgun, some teleporting and grenades, a brutal fatality, and even a resurrection style mechanic of sorts that sees Terminator rise to fight using just its metallic skeleton.

Mortal Kombat 11 will see Terminator joining the roster on October 8th for Kombat Pack owners with everyone else being able to purchase him about a week later, though he has already made some waves as a new Konsumable has already been added to the game that allows players to call him in for an assist in Towers of Time.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 Launching in 2020

Bandai Namco has announced that they will be releasing My Hero One’s Justice 2 in worldwide in 2020 where it will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. To go along with this announcement the company released a teaser trailer and a number of screenshots that show off Deku fighting using his shoot style battling against one of the more recent major villains, Overhaul.

With the first game coming out last year in October this is a fairly quick turn around and hopefully a number of the mechanics have been refined and, rather than including generic side villains that lasted only a few chapters, the company will focus on including more of the main cast and signature villains.

Rather than simply release a basic character video Sega is taking a different approach when it comes to Project Sakura Wars by showing off characters with a music video for each one. This time the company has shared a video showcasing Hatsuho Shinonome set to the song “Onna! Matsuri no Kokoroiki.” This video follows an earlier character song trailer that focused on the primary heroine Sakura Amamiya and you can check out both of these character videos below.

Currently Project Sakura Wars is set to be released in Japan on December 12th for the PlayStation 4 with a Western release planned for sometime in Spring 2020.

New Guilty Gear May Trailer Includes Axl Low Reveal

Over the weekend Arc System Works revealed a new trailer for New Guilty Gear, the tentative title for their upcoming game, and this time around the focus was on showing off May’s new look and fighting style as well as revealing that Axl Low will also be joining the roster as a playable character. So far this means that the upcoming game will at least feature Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, and Axl Low as playable fighters.

Currently New Guilty Gear is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 sometime in 2020. You can find May’s video below and the developer also revealed that they will be showing off another trailer in a few weeks during SEA Major 2019 in Singapore which starts on October 12th.
