Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for their upcoming film, Star Trek Beyond, directed by Justin Lin (Fast and the Furious). The film is slated to be the newest instalment in the rebooted Star Trek sci-fi franchise with stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Simon Pegg returning to reprise their roles. The two previous entries in the rebooted franchise (both directed by J. J. Abrams before he got to work on The Force Awakens) were both critically acclaimed and major blockbuster hits.
The question now becomes can lightning strike thrice for the series with a new director at the helm. The new trailer has some new tidbits for fans of the series to pour over and analyse as well as a lot of action sequences to get regular punters to come along for the ride.
