After a mysterious girl named Meredy literally crashes down from space, Reid and his childhood friend Farah set out on an adventure to not only understand what she is saying but find themselves stumbling into an apocalypse that will shatter their world in Bandai Namco’s Tales of Eternia Remastered.
Tales of Eternia Remastered follows Reid Hershel and his childhood friend Farah Oersted, whose quiet lives in the village of Rasheans change after meeting Meredy, a mysterious visitor from another realm. Joined by their scholarly friend Keele, they set out to understand her warning and discover a looming disaster threatening Inferia and Celestia, two worlds facing one another across the sky. Their search for the Greater Craymels, powerful elemental spirits, takes them across both realms as they confront cultural divisions and learn to understand one another. The remaster brings this classic adventure to modern platforms with refreshed presentation while retaining its character-driven story and distinctive fantasy setting.
Battles unfold in real time through the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System, combining movement, weapon attacks and Artes in fast-paced 2D encounters. Chaining techniques and coordinating your party’s different abilities lets you maintain pressure while responding to enemy attacks. The remaster adds destination markers, adjustable encounter frequency, experience boosts and faster automated battles, giving players greater control over exploration and progression. Battle Retry and Quick Recovery make it easier to recover from difficult encounters, while additional difficulty options offer tougher challenges. Switchable graphics and sound-effect modes also let you choose between the updated presentation and the atmosphere of the original release.
