Tank Shooter Tyr Opens Previously Closed Playtest Until August 2nd

New quickstart video gets you ready to join a thriving community for strategic multiplayer action

San Francisco, USA – July 29th, 2026 – Stoke Games is pleased to announce that the playtest for their multiplayer tank shooter, Tyris now open to all on Steam and will be run until August 2nd.

Tyr is a free-to-play multiplayer tank shooter that emphasizes strategy over twitch reflexes. Stoke Games has shaped and refined the game based on player feedback through more than three years of playtesting with a private, growing community. The team at Stoke and Tyr’s welcoming community are excited for new players to join the fray and experience a cerebral multiplayer shooter where positioning and strategic decision-making are key to victory.

Today, Stoke has released a new video giving you a beginner-friendly overview  on the game’s key systems to prepare you to take to the battlefield. Learn how you can use angles to hit weak spots on enemy tanks and utilize your own tank’s unique armor profile to deflect shots, how you can spot enemies while avoiding being spotted yourself, and how each tank’s ability impacts the battlefield..

In Tyr,  your choice of tank can help define the role you take on for your team: focus on the vital task of spotting enemies with a mobile light tank, snipe from distance with a deadly-but-vulnerable damage dealer, or rumble into close engagements and brawls with a heavy tank.

Upgrade and evolve each tank to suit your playstyle with individual tech trees, ammo slots, and component upgrades. Tyr’s progression system respects its players’ time and the game’s competitive integrity; there will be no fancy new tanks reserved only for those prepared to fork out huge wads of cash, no pay-to-win weapons, and no game-breaking consumables. Tyr is free-to-play done right.

Join the Tyr playtest now and wishlist Tyr on Steam.

Hollow Home Brings Its Story of Wartime Ukraine to Kickstarter

Hollow Home is a narrative survival RPG inspired by the invasion of Mariupol, made by Ukrainian studio Twigames and set to launch in late 2026.

[August 4th, 2026]: Twigames, the Kyiv-based studio behind the narrative survival RPG Hollow Home, today launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the final stretch of development. The campaign will run for 20 days, ending August 24th, with a goal of $15,000. The campaign is live now and can be found here.

Hollow Home is an isometric narrative RPG that puts players in the shoes of Maksym, a 14-year-old boy, surviving the earliest days of the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Each in-game day, players face difficult choices about how Maksym spends his time and who he spends it with. The game’s branching narrative and multiple endings ensure that every decision has meaning and consequences.

Twigames had planned to use Kickstarter to help fund development since it first began work on Hollow Home, before later securing a publishing deal with Crunchy Leaf Games which put the game’s development on secure financial footing. Funds raised with this Kickstarter campaign will go toward covering extra work, letting the team provide deeper content and a more detailed, more polished experience at launch.

Twigames is based in Kyiv, and members of its team have continued developing Hollow Home while living through the ongoing war in Ukraine. The idea for the game took shape in 2022, in the aftermath of a full-scale invasion, as the studio set out to tell a story inspired by the siege of Mariupol and the civilians who lived through it.

“We started making Hollow Home in 2022, when our team was evacuated to a small village in the Carpathian Mountains. We’ve been building it ever since and are finally close to release.” says Valerii Minenko, founder of Twigames. “We want players to experience what survival looks like for ordinary people when a war arrives in their city.”

Hollow Home’s Kickstarter campaign is live now through August 24th, with funds raised through the campaign going toward additional polish and content on top of what is already planned. Hollow Home is slated for release on Steam, Microsoft Store for PC and Xbox Series X & Series S in late 2026.

Key features of Hollow Home include:

  • Choice-driven storytelling: Every decision you make shapes the fate of the characters and the world around you.
  • A city that changes: The city evolves based on your actions and real historical events. New dangers and opportunities appear, and entire districts can become inaccessible.
  • Resource Management: Craft, cook, scavenge, and keep Maksym’s morale up to survive.
  • Skill Development: Upgrade Maksym’s abilities to unlock new ways to solve quests and overcome obstacles.
  • Multiple Endings: Your choices determine the fate of Maksym and those around him.
  • Inspired by real events: Made by a team based in Kyiv, built from real lived experiences of the war.

Awards and Recognition. Winner of Best Conference Game and Game Star at Games Gathering 2024. Winner of the Nordic Game 2024 Pitch Battle. Winner of Most Promising Game and Critics’ Choice Award at Indie Cup Ukraine 2023.

Hollow Home’s Kickstarter campaign page is live now. Hollow Home’s playable demo is available now on Steam. Players can wishlist and follow the game on Steam and the game’s official website.
