SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV !! Coming Soon

0

Capcom announced at TGS 2009 that arrival of Super Street Fighter IV.

You might have a lot of questions about Super Street Fighter IV.  Well in a nut-shell, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono advised that the game will not be a downloadable content addon.  It will be available as a stand alone disc, but not at a full retail price. A special bonus feature will be available for owners of the original Street Fighter IV disc but Capcom are not commenting on what it might be.. just gotta wait and see what it might be 😉  So far EIGHT extra playable characters have been announced but only 2 confirmed.  The legendary T-HAWK that made his debute in the Super Street Fighter II and a new recruite called JURI .. A Korean Tea Kwon Do specialist who will rely mostly on her fast kicks that might put pretty Miss Chun-Li’s super fast lightening kicks in her place.  (I’m specially interested in seeing JURI in action and seeing how accurate her Tae Kwon Do style is, as I’ve practiced the art for over 15 years myself).

Apart from all this Capcom have taken in fan feed back and improved online features, and rebalanced characters.  All shall be revealed in the spring of 2010.  For now get yourself pumped with the preview trailer.  Check back regularly for more updates on Super Street Fighter as they become available.

TERROR IS REALITY !!!!

1

TERROR IS REALITY !! What Terror ??  What Reality !!! What does this all mean ??

Well all our questions have now been answered.  Tonight in a secret location in Tokyo special guests and media from all over the world were invited to attend the premier launch of Capcom’s Blockbuster title DEAD RISING 2.

CAPCOM’s Keiji Inafune the creator of DEAD RISING presented DEAD RISING 2 to everyone in attendance and also introduced the new TERROR IS REALITY online multi-player feature.  Terror is Reality is a 4 player online experience where players go head to head in a series of mini games to kill zombies in all weird and wonderful ways.  The TERROR IS REALITY demo featured four playable mini games, one such mini game has you riding a motor bike with two chainsaws strapped on either side of the handle bars as you tear your way through hordes of undead zombies chopping them into bite size chunks.  The action is fast and furious as your given a time limit in all the mini games and your working as fast as you can to kill as many zombies as you can while your opponents are doing the same thing.

At the moment there is no confirmation on how many mini games will be in the final release of DEAD RISING 2 – TERROR IS REALITY but from the looks of the four playable ones tonight. Online action is going to be VERY Addictive and also very competitive.

To add to the TERROR IS REALITY presentation everyone in attendance was able to participate in a TERROR IS REALITY tournament, where the winner at the end of the night was able to walk away with the VERY VERY LIMITED edition Chuck Greene motor bike jacket which was also Worn by Keiji Inafune during his presentation.

The night was a great success.  Many well known media personalities were in attendance.  Xbox 360’s Major Nelson was also present, interviewing Seth from Capcom Unity.

Capcom kept the food and drinks coming all night long.  The event was fantastic and everyone in attendance had a great night.

I have video of Keiji Inafune which I will be posting / adding to this blog once its ready.  For now please enjoy a few pics from the event.

Thank you once again to Capcom for hosting a spectacular and well organized event.  Keep an eye out on more DEAD RISING 2 videos and pics in the coming days.

Stay tuned for video presentation.  Should be ready in a few hours.

Genre: Adventure

Platform: Nintendo DS

Producer: Motohide Eshiro

Developer: Capcom

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth takes the Ace Attorney series from the courtroom to the crime scene, leaving the legal battle behind.

This time around, players take on the role of famed prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, a memorable rival of charismatic legal eagle Phoenix Wright. Edgeworth actively investigates crime scenes in search of the truth behind each case. By solving the challenging puzzles presented to him, Edgeworth will work with the police to bring criminals to justice.

Users will be able to directly control the character’s movement on the scene with the arrow key or touch screen and freely investigate the crime scenes. If, during the course of an investigation, users find contradictions, they will be able to obtain new information by presenting decisive evidence. In some cases, users will identify clues and conduct examinations of material witnesses. On these occasions, users will have to uncover the truth behind the crimes using collected information, the evidence, and logic.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is composed of a number of episodes. In the first episode, an argument in Edgeworth’s office results in a mysterious murder. Edgeworth, coming back from a one-month business trip, enters his office and encounters the body of the man who was shot.

In the second episode, Edgeworth’s plane journey takes a nasty turn when he wakes up after being knocked out during heavy turbulence. Shaken by the flashback of nightmarish past memories, he opens the onboard elevator’s door to find a male corpse. At this very moment a cabin attendant witnesses the scene and Edgeworth is made a suspect of murder.

In these and further episodes, Miles Edgeworth will have to confront suspects and get to the bottom of his cases by collecting information and evidence through detective work between key locations. Also, in the ’Logic’ mode that symbolizes Edgeworth’s logical inferences, users can discover new information and evidence by combining two pieces of information out of the collected pieces. The real culprit that will be revealed through investigations and witnesses will be confronted in a ‘battle’ similarly fought (Testimony – Pursuit – Press – Confront) to that of the ‘Court Battle’ in the Ace Attorney series (Testimony – Cross Examination) to expose the contradictions.

Wii

Developer: Capcom
Producer: Ryozo Tsujimoto

Game Description:

Monster Hunter Tri is coming to the West in early 2010 and for the first time Western Wii owners will be able to join the hunt as one of Capcom’s leading franchises makes its debut on the system.

One of the most strikingly beautiful titles ever developed for Nintendo’s Wii, Monster Hunter Tri depicts a living, breathing ecosystem where man co-exists with the fantastic beasts that roam both the dry land and the brand new sub-aqua environment – a first for the series.

A bustling and vibrant town, Moga is home to the hunter and includes a Blacksmith for forging weapons and armour, a shop where items can be purchased and an expanded farm with Felynes acting as labourers and tending the crops. The incentive to complete quests is now no longer limited to the collection of items and money with which the hunter can create or upgrade armour and weapons. Successful hunts have a real and visible impact on the status of Moga Village as on returning home quest items are used to repair damage caused by the earthquakes resulting in happier and more active villagers.

Living the life of a hunter need never be a solitary experience with the option of split-screen mode where two players can hunt co-operatively on select quests or form a team of up to four hunters via the game’s custom online Wi-Fi mode. Even solo players do not have to face Monster Hunter Tri’s challenging quests alone as they will be ably accompanied by Cha-Cha, an AI hunting partner whose skills will prove invaluable.

Complementing the new creatures and quests that Monster Hunter Tri introduces to the series, hunters will also have the benefit of new weapons, armour sets and items. These include an all new weapon class the SlashAxe and a Torch that not only illuminates the darkest cave but will fend off certain creatures to assist them as they embark on the most epic Monster Hunter adventure to date.
