Inotia 2: A Wanderer of Luone will offer a Ranger class with new updated features

With Com2uS releasing the most fully-featured RPG on the iPhone, the gaming giant is once again raising the bar by adding updates with brand new content. Com2uS’ previous success with Homerun Battle 3D has shown the power of what updates can do. With over 10 updates Homerun Battle 3D has been able to transform the game into something that truly gives the users “what they want”. Com2uS has maintained a successful business strategy of absorbing user input and implementing the most interesting ideas into the updates. This has allowed Homerun Battle 3D to stay in the top charts months after its release.

Com2uS’ most recent game, Inotia 2, delivers an extraordinarily immerse role-playing game with features that have taken the best of all existing RPGs and perfected them. Inotia 2 contains loads of content with over 200 quests, a party system that allows you to control 3 characters simultaneously, a look system that gives you a unique look to your character with each equipped gear, and 5 classes to choose from. The game has also done something that has never been seen before in the iPhone RPG world which is an online matchup mode. The matchup mode allows users to battle against ghost characters which determines your rank on the online ranking system.

The main features that make Inotia 2 better than the rest of the RPGs on the iPhone are the multiple classes combined with the party system. With a simple click of an icon, a user can switch from an axe-wielding knight to a powerful mage. This allows different players with the exact same game to have a completely different experience than each other. To expand on the 5 classes: knight, magician, priest, thief, and templar, Com2uS has announced that they are now developing a sixth class, a new Ranger class.

The Ranger class has the ability to attack from the distance like a magician while dealing large amounts of damage like a thief. New designs for customized ranger equipment and weapons are also in the works. With the new Ranger class totaling 6 different class types and 3 members per party, a user will have 20 unique party combinations to choose from.

Along with the new Ranger class, Inotia 2 will be offering a variety of new items using Apple’s In-App Purchase system. From larger backpacks to stronger mercenaries, these special items will be available for users who want a little extra boost to their character. The new items and new Ranger update is expected to release early February 2010.

METACRITIC TOP GAMES Of 2009

2009 is now over. And Metacritic has posted up a list of the BEST RATED TOP 5 games on all consoles and portables. Along with the DUD OF THE YEAR on each console as well. The big winners that appeared on a few consoles was Capcom’s masterpiece and fighting game of the year : Street Fighter IV and Infinity Wards : Modern Warfare 2.

The Dud of the year does go to Leisure Suite LarryBox Office Bust. Which I actually finished and enjoyed .. I KNOW I HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS 😉

Lost Planet 2 Akrid Profile: Defolma

This cool piece of information is coming straight from Capcom-Unity’s very own community manager SNOW. Snow runs us through some of the lesser but still deadly looking Akrid bosses we will all encounter in Lost Planet 2. This game is shaping up to be EPIC !! Enjoy the read.

As you know, Lost Planet 2 is full of extremely deadly bosses, like the Gordiant, Red Eye, and mysteriously named Akrid X. But what about some of the new smaller akrid? Since the the planet of EDN III is undergoing some drastic environmental changes, some new akrid have emerged. Among them is the Defolma, a smaller akrid, but still a very big threat to snow pirates.

The Defolma is very octopus like, with 6 arms and a flexible body. It can go almost anywhere, even into tiny drainage pipes where it will wait for something to eat to come along. At the top of it’s head is a mouth, which is perfect for gobbling up any pirates it may encounter. The arms of this akrid have many uses, like grabbing prey, blocking attacks, and even electrocuting. It’s whip like arms have the ability to pinpoint a target and unleash a flash of electricity, and in confined spaces can catch a number of pirates off guard.

Thankfully, this akrid is still vulnerable to normal firearms you and your pirate friends will be wielding, but it will take some skill. Even though you can kill it, it usually appears when you least expect, and in narrow walk ways so it can capture more of food at once. Keep your distance… Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Weyland-Yutani: Building Better Worlds… or perhaps, better hunting grounds. I personally think it makes for better hunting grounds. Check out this cool trailer from Sega’s / Rebellion’s Aliens v Predator. It’s looking pretty good. I hope it can slap the bad taste that’s still in my mouth from Rouge Warrior something that I think everyone over at Rebellion would like to forget very quickly.

And I believe that with Aliens v Predator soon to be release the bad taste will go away and happiness and joy will reign supreme, along with stealth kills, lots of screams and acid blood rain drops falling on everyone’s head. I CANT WAIT !!

Onlive – Play games online on demand anytime, anyplace !!

What would you say, if someone told you you could play the latest video games on demand, anytime and possibly anywhere. Games like GRID, BIOSHOCK, TOMB RAIDER to name just a few, AND the clincher would be that you didn’t even need a new generation console to play them.

You’d think… Yeah Right your pulling my leg… But then it gets better. With a Internet connect and a little box called the ONLIVE MicroConsole you could connect online, select the game you wanted to play and go for it, even meet up with friends online and play with them.

3D Realms teases upcoming Duke Nukem projects

There’s a lot of chatter going on about what’s happening with Mr Kick-Ass and Chew Bubble (and I’m all outta gum) Duke Nukem and how even though Duke Nukem forever will never make it’s way to any of us as fierce and bloody struggle over the Duke is happening in court over the rights to the Numem IP realm.

Information from 3D realm CEO Scott Miller stated the he can see a future for the blond haired, tough as nails alien ass-kicker that also has a bit of a foul mouth on him.

Miller said :

“The next few years should see a strong resurgence in Duke,” Miller mentioned in a recent interview with new gaming mag Gamesauce. “There are numerous other Duke games in various stages of development, several due out this year.”

Miller also added, “We are definitely looking to bring Duke into casual gaming spaces, plus there are other major Duke games in production.”

What do you think that comment might mean. What is casual gaming ? Do you think we might see Duke Nukem come back as some sort of shareware style 2d side scrolling adventure action games that will appear on facebook. eeekkkk I HOPE NOT .. but then we might have Duke Nukem’s Horse Adventures.. Where we replace the Horsies with wild aliens and Duke’s gotta wrangle and break them in and then take them for rides all around the wild barren country-side. Ohh man the possibilities are endless !!
