So how many bugs did Fable 3 have exactly? Well enough that the first patch that came out for the game was 5MB in size. The patch which went live this morning from Lionhead Studios is set to fix many of the major problems that persist in most if not all Fable 3 games. Some of the major fixes are those involving game breaking glitches and quest problems, and the fact that Jasper mysteriously goes mute later in the game.
This is great news overall and will lead to probably at least a new experience as far as the sanctuary goes because I loved the little quips that Jasper used to make when I got a new trophy or did something specific. It was quite disheartening when he suddenly became quiet for no apparent reason only to find out it was a glitch in the game.
Catch a full list of all the different bugs that have been patched below which includes both major and minor fixes.

Now PETA has been known for plenty of different tactics in the past to get the word out about animal abuse and using animals as food, clothing, etc. But we have also seen them use flash games before to help advertise the fact that cooking with animals is cruel and gross when they made Mama Kills Animals in an attempt to ride the coat tails of the fact that Cooking Mama is extremely popular.
Now they are at it again with something they like to call Super Tofu Boy. This is quite literally a use of Super Meat Boy as it takes the platforming of Super Meat Boy and throw in a new storyline where Meat Boy is actually the enemy and kidnaps his ex-girlfriend Bandage Girl who is now going out with Tofu Boy. I’m not making this up.
Meat Boy is a vengeful, bloody cube of rotting animal flesh. And he smells. After a short-lived fling with Bandage Girl (sympathy dates, really), he became enraged when he was dumped for the tasty and satisfying Tofu Boy. Once Bandage Girl slept with Tofu Boy and saw all that he had to offer, it was bye-bye beef, hello bean curd. Enraged by his loss and lack of ability to compete with the badass that is Tofu Boy, Meat Boy snapped and kidnapped Bandage Girl-because if he can’t have her, no one will.
Super Tofu Boy is available for download for free on PETA’s website and is able to be played on Mac and PC. The game itself consists of ten different levels so it is rather short and is full of vegan sayings and vegetarian phrases that try to show how meat is the devil and Tofu is the way to go. It’ll be interesting to see what Team Meat will think of Tofu Boy.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been out for a couple of months now and in my opinion the game is great, but one thing dragging it down was the save feature which was a bit of a headache with the slightest interruption of the auto-save feature such as the controller dying or de-syncing could cause the game not even to complete the save period. Konami has heard all of your complaints and feedback out there and have now completed a patch which is now available for the PS3 version of the game and will also be coming soon to the Xbox 360.
The patch not only fixes that nagging problem, but also will scroll text on loading screens allowing for user readability. If by chance the hearsay of these problems was holding you back from getting the game if you do not have it already, do yourself a favor and grab Lords of Shadow as the game is an excellent addition to any collection and was to myself one of the best Castlevania games in years (You can check out our review HERE). There isn’t an official date on a fix for the 360 version as of yet, but check back and as once announced we will be sure to bring you full details on that as well.
Another week passing means even more mixes in DJ Hero 2. Continuing the tradition of mixing old with the new, DJ Hero 2 is spinning out tracks from the Beastie Boys, Lenny Kravitz, Linkin Park, Tone-Loc, and a few other artists starting this week and lasting all month which will be broken down in three packs (or separately) for all versions of the music title.
Here is a rundown on what you can each of these new packs:
The Hard Edge Mix pack is already avaiable as of November 30 for 480 Microsoft Points on the XBLA, $5.99 on the PSN, or you can purchase each track separately on the Wii for 300 Nintendo Points.
Mixes for the Hard Edge Mix pack include:
Pixies – “Debaser” Mixed With The Prodigy — “Invaders Must Die”
Beastie Boys — “Body Movin'” Mixed With Lenny Kravitz “Rock And Roll Is Dead”
Taking you back to the early 90’s is the Old School Mix pack, which will launch on December 14 at the prices of 640 Microsoft Points on the XBLA, $7.99 on the PSN, and like above you can purchase each track separately on the Wii for 300 Nintendo Points.
Mixes for the Old School Mix pack include:
Fat Boys — “Human Beat Box” Mixed With Mantronix — “King of the Beats”
Tag Team — “Whoomp! (There It Is)” Mixed With 45 King— “The 900 Number”
Beastie Boys — “Triple Trouble” Mixed With Tone-Loc — “Funky Cold Medina”
Finally Wrapping up this month’s releases is fan-favorite to the remix scene, Linkin Park. The prices are identical to the Old School Mix pack and these tracks will be available starting December 21st.
Mixes for the Linkin Park Mix Pack include:
Linkin Park — “The Catalyst (Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix)” (Remix by FSG)
Linkin Park — “When They Come For Me” (Diplo Remix)
Linkin Park — “Pts.of.Athrty”(Remix by FSG)
It is great to see all of these additions to the marketplace and DJ Hero 2 owners are getting some great tracks and variety to end the year with so all aspiring DJs should be thrilled of this news.
As a film, Inception cleaned up in the box-office, landing an impressive amount of viewers with its surprising levels of success. Now, director Christopher Nolan has revealed in an interview that a videogame tie-in is in the works, although he declined to fully elaborate on the subject.
I know videogames have a fairly rough history when it comes to the movie tie-in breed, but it looks like this could break the mould. Nolan said “I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place,” adding, “At the moment, the only direction we’re channeling that is by developing a videogame set in the world.”
With Christopher Nolan overlooking the creation of the game, with its own storyline not necessarily linked to that of the movie, the game’s prospects look very good, and we certainly shouldn’t write it off as “another movie tie-in” just yet.
A new round of stuff coming at ya from the ol’ network. While you are sill chewing on GT5 or playing a vast collection of other games, check this out. One of the shortest updates to date. Does not mean there is not any good stuff.

Thats right ladies and gentlemen, don’t adjust your monitors your eyes are not playing silly buggers with you. What you see in the image above and the video below is an amazing and VERY FLUKEY grenade QUAD KILL by MasterAbbott’s partner in crime the super cool, ultra l33t and now “LEGEND in his own mind” the one and only DURAROC !!
Playing a normal game of Domination tonight on Launch, everything was going quite smoothly, MasterAbbott was getting pwned, Kingroc69 was stealing care packages, Ix Rock xI was camping his little heart out and the man DURAROC – who’s now Prestige 3 – level 20 decided to make history … Running towards the enemies domination post, Duraroc let’s a grenade fly over in that direction… then all we hear is a loud noise and BAM !! 4 KILLS appear on the screen at the same time !!
The crowd goes wild, MasterAbbott jumps for joy, Kingroc69 screams out “That’s HOW WE DO IT FELLA’s” and Ix Rock XI just keeps on camping as he’s on the other side of map waiting for someone to kill. After the match Duraroc disappears and posts the video your about to see below for the world world to see !!

Game: Get Fit with Mel B Publisher: Black Bean Games Developer: Lightning Fish Studios Genre: Fitness Release Date: 26th Nov Format: PS3
Gameplay
Calling all Wannabe fitness fanatics!
If you are a PS3 owner with no time for the gym but the will to keep fit then I think I might have found the perfect game for you – Get Fit With Mel B featuring everyone’s favourite ‘Scary’ Spice Girl!
Get Fit With Mel B is one of the first fitness games to be released for the PS3 that incorporates the new Playstation Move accessory. Ahead of playing the game my expectations were fairly low as I have good experiences using the tried and tested Wii Fit board and was unsure of the sometimes brash Mel B’s pulling power in terms of the license itself. In fact this was to be the first time since Britney’s Dance Party on the PS2 that I have played a celebrity endorsed game. However despite my initial reservations I was pleasantly surprised with the user friendly setup, the flow of the game and my overall experience in general and Miss B certainly comes across as knowing what she is talking about when it comes to fitness and healthy eating.
On first booting up the game you are required to set up a personal profile. This involves answering a selection of basic questions regarding, amongst other things, gender, height, weight and age. You will also be asked you whether you have any fitness equipment to hand – for example: ankle weights or an exercise ball. Don’t worry if you don’t have any of the relevant exercise equipment as Mel B will still try to whip you into shape (or keep you there) but to get the most from the game it might well be worth investing in at least one other piece of suggest fitness equipment for future workouts.
Once you have completed the initial set up the Playstation Eye camera will scan your image. This helps the game figure out the amount of calories you are burning and really helps build a more in-depth profile of you over time. You will then be asked a second series of question based of food preferences such as “likes” and “dislikes”, this in turn presents you with a meal plan based around the things you like to eat whilst keeping the menu on the right side of balanced and healthy. Once you have set up your meal plan the game will begin to recommend something healthy to eat for as soon as your next meal – it will also tell you what ingredients you will need and how long it should take to prepare! This was a much appreciated feature that added considerable depth and increased my confidence in the quality of the product – it was a pleasant surprise and really not something I was expecting to find within what I initially thought might be a fairly heavy handed and simple workout game.
Next up you move on to selecting your goals. These range from “de-stress” (losing your jelly Belly) to “tennis fit” (keeping up with the kids – my option of choice). Finally, you are prompted to select the length of your workout and when you are ready to begin your first session simply select it from the menu. Mel B will then run through each of the exercises within the game in a handy video tutorial that also allows you to replay what she’s doing to ensure you fully understand. If you find your first workout a little bit too intense or even not intense enough don’t worry as this can be changed at any time from the settings in the easily accessible main menu.
The daily workouts within the game are quite varied to prevent boredom and seem really well tailored to your body type and personal preferences – from a high intensity session that will get you sweating and will possibly make you feel sore in the morning to a much slower pace that is a great starting point if you are new to keep fit, perhaps older (or younger) or if you just want to burn off that sneaky chocolate bar you just had!
During the routines you actually appear on screen next to Mel B – almost like a surrogate Spice Girl! There is a body outline guide on-screen so you can always adjust yourself/or your camera to ensure you are in the ‘sweet spot’ and your motion is properly tracked. Once correctly calibrated you’ll be asked if you have any weight training equipment you would like to use but once again additional equipment is not required and is an added bonus and an example of the quality of content and thought put into the game which really does strive to reach everyone. And remember you can always incorporate them into your routine at a later date without missing a step. Mel B then walks you through a practice rep of the upcoming exercise that have been selected for you, setting the amount of reps you are to do and counting them down as you go. The workouts I experienced lasted for around 30 minutes and involved lots of different moves and variety with some exercises requiring only a few reps and others going over 40. In fact the amount and variety of aerobic techniques on-hand is very impressive with apparently well over 200 unique exercises within the game. With this in mind it would be an idea to keep a drink such as water to close hand to keep you properly hydrated throughout your routine.
After each workout there is a section whereupon you can chart your progress and how close you are to achieving the goals that you have set within the game. This provides a motivational boost as you can physically see your progress over time. In addition there are performance graphs which map how well you performed during the routine, giving you a good idea of where you might have slowed down and have room for improvement and where you are excelling. You are also given a calorie count total which is based on a percentage of successful reps in each given routine. Finally there is your “fitness star rating” which like Nintendo’s Brain Training, can fluctuate from one session to the next depending on whether you have got those jumping jacks moves down to a tee or not!
Finally, if your scheduled workouts are still not enough or have you energized for more there are some great additional exercises and features within the game from relaxing yoga to more vigorous dancing.
Graphics and Sound
With it’s slick interface and clean, colourful appearance Get Fit With Mel B is an assuredly professional looking package and one which a lot of care and attention has obviously been poured into. The in-workout dual display of both yourself and Mel B looks great and is certainly very motivating. You also have a number of different backgrounds to choose from that include such locations as an apartment space, infinity pool or even Central Park. In a nice touch there are also additional locations that can be downloaded via the Playstation Network.
The music is very well suited to the style of game but if you find it gets a little annoying or repetitive you have the option of listening to your own music or switching it off altogether if you prefer.
Overall
Overall I have enjoyed Getting Fit With Mel B despite my thinking it would be nothing more than a Christmas cash in. It isn’t in fact it’s well thought out and quality piece of software that really punches above what some might think is a questionable licence. The only negative factor I found with this game was that the still in it’s infancy Move controller can sometimes misinterpret certain movements – a real pain after you have sweated out a routine for 20 mins only for the game to temporarily lose ‘sight’ of what you are doing resulting in a lower than expected score. Somewhat discouraging if you thought you were doing so well on that particular workout but potentially fixable via a patch should it be a widespread problem and not just an issue with the calibration.
A notable plus point is the addition of in-game trophies for all those trophy hunters out there but be warned – if you want to achieve them all you will be gunning for one massive workout as some are not that easy to achieve. Best let the hospital know in advance!
In summary, the daily workouts offer a great deal of versatility and variety and the recipes included within the game provide advice on how to create some really yummy foods that won’t increase your waistline whilst decreasing your lifeline! So if you are looking for a fitness game to help you shift that muffin top and you are not really a gym sort of person then Get Fit With Mel B will give you a great head start on the post-Christmas diet/exercise boom! I’d recommend it enough to either put it on your Christmas list ahead of those New Year Resolutions…
