Natsume isn’t going to be pulling any punches this year for E3. If you have a 3DS they are going to be wanting your full attention and your money in the coming months. Natsume announced their E3 floor line-up today and they will be showing off four different titles during each day of E3.
These titles are Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny for the PlayStation 3 and Wii, Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns for the Nintendo 3DS and DS, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove for the Nintendo 3DS, and Reel Fishing Paradise 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. Yes, that means that they will be showing off three new 3DS games for the first time at the event, as well as showing off the first Rune Factory title to grace the PlayStation 3.
Natsume’s President and CEO Hiro Maekawa knows what their fans want and had this to say about the games they will be showing off: “We have a lineup of top-notch titles this year! We’ve got dancing, fishing, and
exciting new entries in the Rune Factory and Harvest Moon series. No matter your age or tastes, we have a game for you!” Not entirely sure how the dancing title will work out on the 3DS but we’ll find out next week!
Konami has finally made it official. Today they released information regarding Otomedius Excellent’s release date and the special edition that you can purchase as well as the standard edition. We’ve seen information leaks in the past from retailers, but at least now we know for sure that the title will be released in North America on July 19th.
Players will be given two different options if they are looking to pick up Konami’s shmup title. They can either purchase the normal version for $29.99 or buy the collector’s edition which features the game itself, a soundtrack CD, art book and a double sided pillowcase featuring the games girls. Unfortunately at this time Konami has not shown off what the pillowcase will look like but they have revealed the box art for the title. Thankfully they decided to stick true to the game’s source material and retain the Anime-like girls appearing on the boxart. Also it mentions the fact that the game has influences from Gradius.
E3 may start next week but that doesn’t mean that companies can’t release E3 information ahead of time. Such is the case with Square Enix’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Today they have revealed the E3 trailer for the title, which shows how Adam Jensen used to be a normal guy, and then how he becomes a super human killing machine through the power of augmentation.
The trailer shows plenty of gameplay footage including the first person shooting, cover system, execution system and more. Players can also choose to go the non lethal route by stunning enemies and knocking them unconscious. We’ll learn much more next week when Deus Ex: Human Revolution is shown off at E3, and especially more when the title releases on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on August 23rd and 25th for North America and Europe respectively.
Batman: Arkham City already plays host to many different villains that Batman will have to fight against. But what if players don’t always want to follow the strict moral code that Batman holds to? Well you will be in luck because Batman: Arkham City will have players playing not only as Batman, but as Catwoman as well.
GameSpot has managed to grab some interview time with Rocksteady marketing manager Dax Ginn who details the skills that Catwoman will use and how she will not be the same character as batman with a different skin. The video also shows a number of the ways she will take out bad guys, including giving one of them a kiss before defeating him. Check out the full video below for more information on Catwoman’s abilities as well as more details about the game’s combat system.

It seems like the name PS Vita has a lot more backing behind it than we thought. At first there was just rumors of the new name from a flyer that a few people who would be attending E3 received. Now it appears that that rumor may be less of a rumor, and more like an information leak.
Destructoid has received a few tips that Sony’s official E3 website has a few secrets hidden within it. Not the website itself of course, but within the HTML source code. A quick search through the source code for the page pulls up the name PS Vita a couple of times. Of course Sony isn’t saying anything at the moment, because if you were waiting to pull a big announcement out of your hat, then why admit to what that announcement is beforehand?
As always, with every game being developed in Japan, Famitsu has the scoop on a handful of new screenshots for Tecmo Koei’s Ninja Gaiden 3. These screenshots show Ryu doing what he does best, making plenty of blood spill from enemies. Andriasang has grabbed all of these screenshots and also reports that Ryu’s right arm will play a central role in the title.
As you can see in the images, Ryu’s arm looks to be possessed or cursed by something not yet known. She also went on to say that Ninja Gaiden 3 is set for a release in 2012 on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out all of the screenshots below, courtesy of Famitsu.
At last year’s E3 we saw a glimpse of Metal Gear Solid 3D and unfortunately not much else has been revealed about the title for over a year now. That is of course until today when Hideo Kojima decided to give everyone a look at what Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will look like when it is being played. Of course there will be playable demo’s next week at E3 for the press, but it is good to see this glimpse beforehand.
The image found below was released on his Twitter account and he also noted that he had crossed a suspension bridge using the 3DS’ gyro controls. Andriasang was the first to discover the information from his Japanese twitter account. From the image we can see how the bottom touch screen will look, including a touch screen inventory and mini-map.
