On November 18, 2011, OMEGA FORCE and Tecmo Koei will release the Dynasty Warriors: Xtreme Legends stand-alone expansion for PS3 in Europe.
New characters, like Guo Jia & Wang Yi,& Pang De Bolster will be included in the extra content. Secret weapons, like the Dragon Spear, Sai, Battling Stick & Scimitar, a new Legend and Challenge mode and a Japanese voice-over option will also be included. In addition, a Mixjoy option in this new add-on allows gamers to use the original Dynasty Warriors 7 disc to “experience a powered-up verson of the original Dynasty Warriors 7 Story mode and Conquest mode.”
Today Eidos and Square Enix released a short trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The reason it is short of course is because it is likely what you will be seeing when you see a commercial for Deus Ex on your television screen. The very nice background music that the trailer is set to is called “My World” by the music group named Transmission.
In this trailer we see a lot of brief but intense footage of multiple animals fighting and then finally some awesome footage from the game. If this trailer didn’t sell you on the game on its own, then you may need to check your gamer license at the door. Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released next week on August 23rd for the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
Coming this year to Nintendo’s flagship systems, Centipede Infestation features “Max, the hero and bug slayer, who must defend Maisy, a girl whose gardens bring life back to the wasteland that the planet has now become.” As you go through the game, you battle centipedes, spiders, beetles, moths and other creepy-crawlies with guns like the Lightning Orb Gun, Nuke Cannon, Freezethrower and Mine Launcher. One of the most interesting parts of the game is the feature where you can use dead bugs to create defenses and power-ups.

If you’ve been waiting to buy an Xbox 360 Slim console then you should probably run out and do it now, unless of course you don’t want to have a shiny glossy finish. Today Major Nelson, otherwise known as Larry Hryb has confirmed that Microsoft will be changing their Xbox 360 Slim console finish. Rather than having the standard glossy and shiny finish, the console will now have a matte fish and look similar to previous Xbox 360 Elites.
No reason was given for why they will be changing the finish, as I would much rather prefer the glossy finish instead of matte. Hryb did confirm that future Limited Editions will still retain the glossy finish. The price for the consoles has not changed however and will still cost $299.99 for the 250GM system and $199.99 for the 4GB version.
Capcom has released a new trailer today for Street Fighter X Tekken and it is extremely informative. Not only are we treated to plenty of gameplay and even a little tutorial on some of the controls, but we are also given four new character reveals. Which characters have been revealed you ask? Well you can watch the video below or read on to find out.
In this trailer we see four new fighters enter the growing roster of available fighters in Street Fighter X Tekken. We are introduced to Ibuki from Street Fighter III, Raven from Tekken, Hugo who will be paired with Poison, and everyone’s favorite fighting bear Kuma from Tekken. Street Fighter X Tekken will be released sometime next year for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Until then we can expect a slow drip feed of character reveals from Capcom.
Despite initially claiming that the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus collection would come with extra bonus content, no information had yet been released about what we should be expecting. Until now that is. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD will be coming with a large amount of bonus video content which includes five behind the scenes videos which go through everything from the beginning concepts of the games to interviews with the staff.
There is also some information about an early concept for NICO, an unreleased title, but most important is some never before seen footage from The Last Guardian which will certainly help drive fans completely nuts. To top it off Sony also released the full set of Trophies for each game, which you can see below.
Although the title there may sound like your average day at a Spring Break party, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny won’t be all about that. But something that is true, is that the ESRB has given Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny their standard description and a rating of Everyone 10+, which means the game is practically fine for everyone.
As some may know, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is the first PlayStation 3 rune Factory game to be released outside of a Nintendo platform, though currently there is still no release date for North America, though it is set to be released here this year. If this rating is any judge, then hopefully we can expect to see Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny on store shelves soon. Check out the full ESRB rating below.
This is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of two friends on an adventure to undo a mysterious curse and save their world. As players explore fantasty environments and interact with human characters, they use swords and magic attacks to defeat roaming monsters (e.g., golems, trolls, spirits) in melee-style combat. Battles are accompanied by cries of pain, slashing sounds, and colorful bursts of light; enemies disappear when defeated.
“Players can purchase and drink wine to replenish their hit points; other references to alcohol appear in the dialogue (e.g., “Wazzat? Yeh’ve got guts, tellin’ me that I can’t drink no more” and “Even though the booze is so good . . .”). As the game progresses, characters can choose to marry various bachelors/bachelorettes; in one sequence, players vote for female contestants in a swimsuit competition (e.g., “My swimsuit from last year is a little tight at the bust.”).
Last week Namco Bandai launched a teaser website with the above image which confused not only fans, but press as well. Could Namco Bandai be working on a new title? Would it be an RPG of some sorts that may make it to Western shores? Well, no it isn’t any of those things. Despite the website being very well done originally, it has since been updated and forwards to a new website for the actual game itself, as first found by Andriasang.
As you can see, the title is something that nobody could have guessed. Not only is it for the PSP, but it is an adaptation of Hirasaki Yomi’s light novel series named Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai which translates into I Don’t Have Many Friends. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable as the game is called, has yet to see a release date, but it will follow Kodaka Hasegawa and his classmate Yozora Mikazuki as they start a club named the Neighbors’ Club that focuses on making friends. This announcement is sure to disappoint many, as the announcement of a new IP would have pleased Namco Bandai fans worldwide.
If the original price for Trine scared you away from purchasing the title when it was released, then we have some good news for you. Frozenbyte’s CEO, Lauri Hyvärinen, was addressing fan questions for the game and when a fan asked how much they would sell the title for when it is released Hyvärinen answered them by saying that it will be “Less than at what price Trine 1 launched.”
When Trine 1 released on the PC it cost $40 and a few months after that it was released on the PlayStation Network for $20. He also elaborated upon the voice over work, saying that all English actors from the original game would keep their roles in Trine 2 and that the game will be dubbed in a number of languages, and subbed in many more to provide worldwide accessibility to the title.
