Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is exactly what the PlayStation 3 needs right now. Not only do we have Disgaea 4 coming out in a couple of weeks, but with Atelier Totori coming out a few weeks after that, the PlayStation 3 is going to be getting plenty of new quality RPGs, especially after the stagnant period it has suffered as far as RPGs go.

NIS America is taking advantage of this RPG dry period by releasing a new official trailer for Atelier Totori which you can either see on the game’s official website here, or below. In the trailer we are shown not only the gorgeous graphics that the game contains but also a number of the characters special moves and the upgrades to other parts of the game since Atelier Rorona.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend gets a new trailer

Fans of the Vocaloid game series, Hatsune Miku Project Diva, will never be released overseas in North America in any shape or form. Of course that is what the region free PSP is for and importation of video games. Thus we present the latest, very long trailer for Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend which is the next PSP Hatsune Miku title.

You can catch the video below and see roughly four minutes of gameplay and the end of the video which shows off an animated clip that could be used as the opening video for the game. Those looking to import the title should know that the game is going to be released on November 10th, though a price tag is currently unknown.

If you were still concerned about what Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD will look like, then you should take a look below because Capcom recently released a number of screenshots for the title,focusing entirely on our heroine Claire Redfield. Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD will be released on the Xbox Live Games on Demand and PlayStation Network on September 27th.

Unfortunately there is still no word of an actual retail release for Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD nor Resident Evil 4 HD which is a depressing state of mind, as fans of these classics would certainly enjoy having a physical copy on their shelves. Currently there is also no price for how much Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD will cost, though expect an announcement regarding that in coming weeks.

SpiderMan: Edge of Time’s Laura Vandervoot talks about her joy in voicing Mary Jane

SpiderMan: Edge of Time received a behind the scenes video earlier today which focuses on Mary Jane’s voice actor Laura Vandervoot who previously has worked in Smallville. In the video, which can be seen below, she talks about how she is jubilant that she is able to be the voice of Mary Jane, as well as a little bit of in-game footage.

Unfortunately the gameplay footage is nothing amazing, it is good to see some more footage of the game as the release date continues to creep closer and closer before it is released on October 4th by Activision for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Catch the video below!

Z.O.E. 3DS hinted at by Hideo Kojima

So… Hideo Kojima… how long are you going to keep pulling Zone of Enders fans’ legs about the next game in the series? Despite previously confirming that a Zone of Enders HD Collection would be coming out in the future for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, no one has said anything about a Zone of Enders title on the 3DS.

That is until now, when Hideo Kojima tweeted that he “Found this at Omori-kun’s desk. What’s this?” with the below image of a Zone of Enders figure as well as the words Z.O.E 3DS in the background. Whether or not this is actually something that will happen or not has yet to be seen, though as a Z.O.E. fan I most certainly hope that Konami will make some announcement at TGS or before.

Borderlands 2 teaser trailer released

The Gunzerker is shown off in full glory in this latest teaser trailer from 2K all about Borderlands 2. Announced just a few weeks ago, this is the sequel to the hit shooter that Gearbox also developed.

Anthony Burch, who wrote the webseries “Hey Ash, Whatcha Playing?”, has said that he will be writing Borderlands 2. In addition, a first look at the game will be available to see at PAX Prime from August 17-August 21 at Booth #3417.

As far as we can tell from the trailer below, Borderlands 2 looks like an action filled romp with the same unique art style as its predecessor. It looks like it will continue the fine work done on the first Borderlands game.  Only time will tell though.

Activists shut down San Francisco trains

Anonymous in conjunction with many unrelated activists have successfully closed down multiple SF train services in retaliation of BART’s recent police killings and denial of cell phone services. Protesters staged a very peaceful resistance, voicing their opinions regarding the deaths of two innocent citizens as well as the company’s treatment of its customers. Bay Area Rapid Transit area police were forced to shut down the stations due to public safety not from any violent behaviour on behalf of the crowd.
More specifically the protesters were angry over the killings of Charles Blair Hill and Oscar Grant by BART police when non-lethal means were freely available. Videos of the arrests on the unarmed and restrained men have since been posted up all over the internet.
Zero arrests were made during the protests, proving that although they cannot be responsible for the actions of every member, Anonymous promote themselves as a peaceful organisation. Even deputy chief of police of the area commented that he was not opposed to these people expressing their first amendment rights.
It was interesting to also note the power that Anonymous has amassed with many protesters claiming to have no affiliation with the group but felt strongly about the issues they stood for. In relation to the recent hacking of BART websites, whoever responsible, every motivation behind it is exposing those who have no concern for their customer’s security.

Final Fantasy XIV to receive Chocobos and Materia system in Patch 1.19

Despite having a very weak start you shouldn’t be counting Final Fanatasy XIV out of the running yet as an MMORPG. Today producer Naoki Yoshida went into detail about what players of the struggling MMO should be expecting in Patch 1.19. The two highlights of this patch are something called the “My Little Chocobo” system and the Materia Crafting system.

The full patch details can be found at the Letter from the Producer column that Yoshida posted earlier today. The Chocobos will be part of a new transport system which will allow Chocobo rentals from the three main city-states. Though they can also acquire personal Chocobos for themselves. Chocobo rentals will cost in game Gil, while the Materia system will help expand the crafting in the game. Yoshida warns fans however that not everything may make it in the patch as the team is “running on a tightrope to stay on schedule.” Still, you can finally get your Chocobo on in FFXIV.

Neverwinter delayed until 2012 – Insert sad face here

Atari’s sale of Cryptic Studios to Perfect World Entertainment is being blamed for the delayed release of Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter. The game is being planned for a late 2012 release and will feature traditional D&D characters, the ability to team up with 4 other players and a single player campaign that can team you up with an AI companion.

In other Dungeons and Dragons news, Hasbro and Atari have agreed to settle their legal dispute over the rights to use the D&D license. Hasbro will keep the digital licensing rights, while Atari will be able to develop and sell a “selection of games” under the Dungeons and Dragons name.

Angel Beats now on Netflix

The popular Angel Beats anime series has now made its way to Netflix for streaming.

Angel Beats was released by Sentai Filmworks with an English dub version this year in the US and was also recently licensed for distribution throughout Australia by Siren Visual, with a release coming next month for DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.

The series follows the battles of Angels in a surreal afterlife world. You can stream the Angel Beats anime series now on Netflix here. Be sure to check it out.
