Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge hits stores this Friday

Jonah Lomu may have broken through our tackle once (as is customary for the big man) when he slipped through our grasp and the release date of Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge was delayed, but it seems we’ve finally managed to bring him down; Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge will be coming to stores in Europe on 14th October for Xbox 360 and PS3, and a week later on Friday 21st October for PC.

With the backing of one of the most exciting to watch rugby players of all time, in my eyes, at least, although I’m sure many will agree, a New Zealand based development team, and the most licenses ever in a rugby game, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge could well play a fine game of rugby. For a start, it’s the spiritual successor to the last decent rugby game released, Jonah Lomu Rugby on PS1/PC.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention Details

Nippon Ichi has been busy with its latest Disgaea re-release, Disgaea 3 Return (to be known as Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention in the West). However, they took some time off and gave Dengeki PlayStation some notes on how the Vita’s main features are going to be used in the strategy game.

First up are how the touch controls will be implemented. Both the front touchscreen and the rear touchpad will be utilised but for different functions. The touchscreen can be used to scroll the multitude of windows in the game, presumably status menu and attacking options. The touchpad will be the camera control of the map. Players will be able to rotate and scroll the game map. Zooming was not mention but could be a possibility.

These next two relate to the network capabilities. One of the uses will be the ability to accumulate points that help gain more experience and mana via the positional information capabilities. This might be done via Near, which is the location based software of the Playstation Vita. The other use will be known as “Everyone’s Record,” a mode where one can check out their fellow player’s play time and damage stats. More elements could be added, but those two are the only ones.

Disgaea 3 Returns will launch with the Playstation Vita in Japan on December 17. The West will receive in the spring of 2012.

Sprinkle gets some new levels on iOS and Android

Swedish studio Mediocre have released twelve new levels for their popular app, Sprinkle. Sprinkle is a water and fire puzzle game, which involves you extinguishing fire using water and your wits.

Also included in this update is a batch of six new levels exclusive to players who made an in-app purchase to unlock Sprinkle’s third or fourth worlds. Initially, getting into the third or fourth worlds you had to earn 5-drop ratings or making the in-app purchases, which was shortly removed afterwards. Those who made the in-app purchase will be given an additional six exclusive levels.

With this update, Sprinkle has 60 levels for players to tackle so if you haven’t gotten it yet, it’d be a great time to do so.

DanceDanceRevolution II – Now Available on Wii

Konami has announced that DanceDanceRevolution II is finally available for the Wii console. Loaded with additional content, you will have over 80 tracks to test your dancing prowess.

Ninjutsu Revealed for Shinobi 3DS

Four different kinds of Ninjutsu have been revealed for Shiniobi 3DS. These Ninjutsu are elemental based, providing the player with control over Fire, Earth, Water and Lightning. Players will be able to select these attacks to use in-game by simply tapping the appropriate icon on the 3DS touchscreen, and preform them by pressing the L button.

By using the Fire Ninjutsu, players will be able to cause a significant amount of damage across the entire screen.

The Earth Ninjutsu will defend the player for a while, making you almost invincible. Speed and attack will also be dramatically increased but when the Ninjutsu gauge is depleted, players will no longer be able to throw shurikens and HP will go down to 1.

By selecting the Lightning Ninjutsu, players are able to cancel damage received from enemies, but this is limited to being used up to three times only.

The Water Ninjutsu will increases your jump height as well increasing the players’ rate of shuriken recovery.

Heaven’s Lost Property English dub trailered

Releasing alongside Rosario + Vampire’s two seasons is the English dub of Sora no Otoshimono from FUNimation which is now being titled Heaven’s Lost Property. The anime will be released in a DVD and Blu-ray bundle on December 20th. Plus, earlier today FUNimation revealed a ton of videos of the English dub which can all be seen below, though it is a bit of a media dump.

For those who don’t know, the story of Heaven’s Lost Property follows Tomoki, a boy who simply wants a peaceful life but after a winged android named Ikaros falls from the sky and begins to call him master his peaceful days are over. It doesn’t help that Tomoki is a huge pervert and Ikaros has the ability to grant any request she is given.

Dragon Age II: Mark of the Assassin DLC released

Dragon Age II fans rejoice, a DLC pack as been released! The DLC includes an awesome new adventure with intriguing characters, the same gorgeous environments, and crazy-ass enemies (totally expecting a badass dragon or two to show up). This yummy little mini-expansion is dubbed Dragon Age II: Mark of the Assassin.

The biggest new part of Dragon Age II: Mark of the Assassin is a new party member and playable character named Tallis, who is based on and voiced by internet sensation and geek queen Felicia Day.

It is available on XBLA, PSN, PC and Mac for $15.95 or 800 Microsoft or Bioware points. So make sure to grab it as soon as you can! Because if you love Dragon Age II then you’ll definitely love this.

FUNimation releases trailers for Rosario + Vampire dub along with final release date

Those eager to see more of their favorite demon filled school will be glad to know that not only has FUNimation finally nailed down a release date for Rosario + Vampire but they have also released three trailers for the English dub which can be seen below. The first trailer you can see below introduces us to the main heroine, Moka who is a vampire with a literal split personality once her rosary comes off.

Besides that we are also treated to a trailer for Rosario + Vampire Capu2, which was a second season for the show released in Japan and is being released on the same day as the first season on December 20th. This means that everyone will be able to experience the harem anime consisting of a succubus, a childish witch and an ice cold stalker before the year is up. Of course you can pre-order season 1 and Capu2 now if you feel like it.

Centipede: Infestation – Trailer Full of Weapons

WayForward shows us the variety of weapons available for the upcoming release of Centipede: Infestation with an instructional video. Yielding more gameplay than actual instruction, the video dishes out some neat destruction. Showing off weapons like the electric gun, flamethrower, ice gun, and laser gun, players will have to devise a strategy to effectively use these weapons. The laser gun seems to have the largest range, but the damage done may be reduced. Notice at the end of the laser gun briefing that the hero Max is equipped with a double-sided laser.
