Burn the Rope: Worlds HD has 100 more levels (plus hundreds more through daily puzzle), four different worlds and a brand new mini-game called Eternal Burn. The four worlds include Jungle, Mechanical, Fantasy and Space worlds, which will certainly look spiffy on the iPad.

The mini-game Eternal Burn has three different levels of difficult and basically works like a special version of Snake. You control your character by rotating your device to collect as many bugs as possible, without touching your own growing flame trail.

3D viewable screenshots released for Heroes of Ruin

Today Square Enix and n-Space have released a batch of new screenshots for the Nintendo 3DS RPG Heroes of Ruin. Now while you can see these screenshots below and view them in normal 2D, the special thing about these screenshots is that you can actually view them on your Nintendo 3DS in full 3D and get a taste of how the game will look on your handheld.

You can download the screenshots at the game’s official site here. Once you do, unzip the file and place them inside the DCIM folder of your Nintendo 3DS SD Card. Then you can view them in the 3DS by looking at the camera application and viewing past photos. It may sound a bit complicated but it is well worth the effort.

While the humans are away in The Sims 3 Pets

EA has released some more screenshots and a promise of some awesome independent pet control. It is worth bragging about, considering it’s the main feature that sets it aside from the previous Pets expansion pack.

The screenshots show what happens when you decide to take control of your pets instead of the humans, and I have to say I may be more on the side of the pets. Especially if they, like the cat in the screenshot above, have laser eyes.

The Sims 3 Pets comes out on Xbox, PS3, 3DS, Mac and PC on October 20. Keen for The Sims 3 Pets? Stay tuned to Capsule Computers for more information as it hits.

Rayman Origins combat trailer – bubblize those goons!

Bubblize (verb) : To render a foe spherical, floaty and useless by the means of cartoon violence, often inflicted despite an obvious lack of limbs.

Methods can include standard attacks such as punching and kicking, but more creative combatants have been known to swallow, crush and trap their foes. Why this results in said bubbliness is anyone’s guess, but as it’s entertaining and visually pleasing no one really minds.

The art is especially practised by the inhabitants of Rayman Origins, seen here demonstrating the technique:

Potential bubblizers should note that this technique does not function correctly in the real world, and will probably result in pain, embarrassment and/or jail time.  Please wait until November 24 before attempting to bubblize, and then only with a copy of Rayman Origins firmly in hand.

The World God Only Knows 2nd season licensed by Sentai Filmworks

While it may have been assumed by some, Sentai Filmworks has made it official today that they have acquired the license to the second season of The World God Only Knows also known as Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai. While they had previously announced that they would be releasing an English dub of season one, they never said anything about the second season which finished airing in Japan this year. The company plans on releasing the second season sometime later in 2012 and would be releasing the first season of the show in January on both Blu-ray and DVD. No price has been set for either version of the first season at this time.

For those who do not know, The World God Only Knows follows Keima, a boy who loves only the 2D world and is known as the “God of Conquests.” Because of his supposed title he has been tasked by hell to retrieve runaway spirits that have taken refuge inside of young girls.

The only way to capture these spirits and save each girl is to “conquer” them, or in normal terms make them fall in love with him. Only problem is, while he may be the “God of Conquests” at school he is seen as a loner geek who cares nothing for the 3D world.

ModNation Racers: Road Trip to be name of the Vita title

Sony decided to let fans take the customization in ModNation Racers further than ever by letting inventive fans send in names for the PlayStation Vita version of the title. Sony of course then had to sift through what they say was “thousands of great ideas” to pick one winner.

Never mind what they had to end up seeing people call it, as there are always those who mistake creativity for vulgarity, they have chosen to call the title ModNation Racers: Road Trip. This may sound like a bit of a generic name but it is most likely the safest they could have went with. Also since you will be able to take ModNation Racers with you anywhere the road trip name fits.

New Theatrhythm Final Fantasy gameplay trailer surfaces

It seems like some new gameplay footage of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has surfaced on the internet, or to be more specific on YouTube which you can watch below. As you may nor may not know, Theatrhythm is a rhythm based music game that takes various songs from the Final Fantasy series and puts them together in one title.

The video seen below shows off three levels with three pieces of music most fans should recognize, or at least the first and last one. These three levels show off what we will most likely be seeing plenty of when the game is released, walking to song levels, combat against monster songs and also rather impressive looking CG cutscenes to music. What do you think of this 3DS title from Square Enix?

Sonic Generations gets a second demo tomorrow

Sega has revealed that they will be releasing a second demo for Sonic Generations this week for the Xbox 360 version of the title. This demo, imaginatively titled Demo #2 will be available tomorrow on the Xbox Live Marketplace while PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until next week on October 25th to get their second dose of Sonic on.

The first demo only allowed for players to play as classic Sonic, while this demo will let players access both classic and modern Sonic for the Green Hill Zone stage. The title will be released in just a few short weeks on November 1st for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and an eventual Nintendo 3DS release sometime in November.

Naughty Dog unsurprisingly defends Sony PSN Pass

While it should come as no surprise, as Naughty Dog is owned by Sony, they have stood up for the fact that Sony is including PSN Passes in all of their exclusive titles from now on. Though the way they defend it sounds like complete tripe. In an interview with TheSixthAxis Director Justin Richmond stepped up to the plate to defend Sony’s Online pass system.

He said that the game will either use an online pass or they more or less would simply have to release the multiplayer as a separate game. To be more exact they said that “we offer online completely in its entirety also, so we have a complete offline package as well, so if you want to play the co-op with a friend, you can do that offline.”

Besides that excuse he also said that the server space would cost money to keep online, stating that “when that stuff goes online, it isn’t free. We have to pay for servers and all this different stuff to maintain it, and so at some point, you know, games have to make money. It is a business, and we just wanna be able to continue to provide that kind of content. If Sony ever comes to us and says “You’re not making enough money on this, you need to cut it” or whatever, that’s not something that we want. We want to be able to maintain the level of quality of the product that we’re giving out.”

Never mind the fact that the server space for that game was already bought by the original purchaser and simply traded to another person… alas that is a rant for another day.

Kinect Sports Season 2 demo available for download

Have a Kinect but aren’t sure if you want to shell out the money to buy Kinect Sports Season Two? I mean, you probably already have the first Kinect sports sitting on your game shelf and may not have touched it in awhile. So what reason do you have to go buy another one right? Well perhaps you should download the just released demo for Kinect Sports Season 2 before you make that decision.

Microsoft’s demo for the title will include two of the game’s six new sports, golf and tennis. It will also support two player tennis which will allow you and a friend to play doubles matches side by side. Though of course this means you need plenty of space. You can pick up the demo here which is free of course.
