Fifa Street celebrate in style

A fantastic deal for gaming and soccer fans alike, as EA have announced a spcial incentive for any of those thinking about pre-oredering FIFA street, featuring the one and only Lionel Messi, bane of Man U fans worldwide amongst many others. To celebrate Messi’s transfer signing, EA are honourng the star, by giving those who pre-order the title, exclusive access to an awesome Adidas All Star team starring Messi and 12 of some of the worlds greatest footballers.

Here are some other legends to have made the cut, and please no flaming as to who of your favourite players should be there and how dare EA leave them out before you take the time to research who sponsors them. This is an ADIDAS all star team, not a NIKE or any other sponsorship company. It includes the majesticness of Van Persie, the speed and agility of Nani and the pure genius of KAKA. The game looks awesome and I cant wait to get my hands on this one, even if its just to pass the time in between some heated FIFA 12 play-offs.

Dungeon Defenders available on PSN Europe

With over 600,000 copies sold, Trendy Entertainment is pleased to finally announce that Dungeon Defenders is available on the PlayStation Network in Europe. The wait is over and Europeans can enjoy an epic tower defense game that evolves with role playing elements.

Additionally, Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe will be compensating purchasers with the latest DLC of Dungeon Defenders at no cost. This will be an incredible selling point as the newest DLC – The Quest for the Lost Shards Part 1: Mistymire Forest – was just released on December 21st for Xbox Live, Steam, and PSN. However, the compensation will not be in order until sometime in January 2012 for the SCEE users.

If you are unsure about tower defense games, I urge you to take a look at our Dungeon Defenders Review.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City reveals eight famous faces

Capcom has announced that eight familiar faces will be joining the ranks for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City’s Heroes Mode. In this competitive online multiplayer, players will assume the roles of four good and four evil characters. The good team includes Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Carlos Oliveira. Players can also play as the nostalgic evil characters like Hunk, Nicholai Ginovaef, Lone Wolf, and Ada Wong.

While players may be dead set on combating each other, they will have to fight against a horde of zombies as well. Heroes Mode sounds like the epicenter of activity with unrelenting waves of opponents. My fingers are trembling with excitement!

Check out the trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City’s Heroes Mode below to get the full impact.

Tiny Bee gets a free Lite version

For all you cheapskates out there who want some quality apps but don’t want to pay anything (don’t get insulted, I am one of you), or if you just like getting free stuff (again, me), you’re in luck!

Nurogames have released the Lite version of Tiny Bee, the cute and brave bee who goes on a mission to save his hive, braving the harsh winter conditions and going after the honey pot. Tiny Bee has the same set up as Tiny Wings, going down hills to gather speed and then gliding to collect as much honey and pollen as possible. Can you make it to the honey pot in time and save your bee hive? Let’s hope so, cos they’re just so cute!

The Pro version has further levels, endless mode and additional achievements, and can be purchased in-app for $0.99.

So what are you waiting for guys? Go grab your FREE version of Tiny Bee Lite HERE for the iPhone, iTouch and iPad.

Jurassic Park: Episode 2 Now Available on iPad 2

While Telltale’s Jurassic Park game was released as one product for other platforms, the iPad 2 version retained the original episodic structure, and the second part of the saga is available right now.

Titled “The Cavalry”, the story continues as the park plunges further into chaos, in the aftermath of a rival genetics company’s espionage attempt. Lima, Gerry and Jess head for the North Docks, as a rescue team from InGen arrives and tracks the survivors. This episode introduces some key characters, like Billy and Oscar, the mercenaries on the rescue team, and Dr Sorkin, a researcher who only wants to preserve the dinosaurs.

I played the game on PC (check out our review here), but I was curious about the iPad version. My guess is it would look awesome for an app – and with Apple AirPlay, you can play on the iPad and stream the images to a TV.

Episodes 1 and 2 are now available on the App Store.

The true nature of Holmes revealed in a second teaser for the Testament of Sherlock Holmes

Another teaser trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming Testament of Sherlock Holmes. Here we find the loyal Watson describing the fall from grace of the great detective himself, who in Testament must fight to prove his innocence. Holmes is promised to be darker and more controversial than ever before, with a reputation on the verge of being destroyed and his relationship with Watson on the line over his mysterious and reprehensible actions.

We get a closer look than ever before at the brand new, darker look for the game, which uses a brand new engine to bring Conan Doyle’s creations to life. The characters too have a new look and feel, with developers Frogwares making use of motion capture techniques for the first time in the history of the series. Players will fill the shoes of both Holmes and Watson throughout the investigation, and must try to uncover the reasons behind the strange actions of Sherlock himself.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes will be released early next year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Quarrel Deluxe goes on Holiday Sale

I’ve got to say, along with presents, well-decorated houses and food, app sales are up there with one of the reasons I love Christmas. UTV Ignition Games, and developers Denki, have announced that their hit app Quarrel Deluxe will be available for the special Holiday sale price of $0.99!

The sale has begun and will continue through to January 2, so if you find yourself in an environment that isn’t internet friendly and you can’t download the app in time (cough, in-laws place, cough) then don’t worry – they’ve given you a little leeway!

Quarrel Deluxe won IGN’s Best Mobile Board Game of 2011, a great mix of board game strategy and Scrabble-like features. You have to battle your opponents for control of an island split into territories, by creating the highest scoring word from an eight-letter anagram.

So what are you waiting for guys? Quarrel Deluxe is available on iPhone, iTouch and iPad for $0.99 for a limited time! Grab it HERE. Not convinced? Check out our review of the game HERE

And, there is rumour of it coming to Mixrosoft XBLA soon! So keep tuned to Capsule Computers for more news as it comes!
