Gray Matter Designer Kickstarter/CSG Project

Jane Jensen, the mind behind Gray Matter and the Gabriel Knight series, has started a Kickstarter for the company she has started with her husband, Robert Holmes.  The company, Pinkerton Road, is looking to release old school-style adventure games similar to her previous work.

But, more than just funding it through Kickstarter, Pinkerton Road wants to use a CSG or Community Supported Gaming model, where those funding are given an active role in decisions and updates.  Right now, there are 3 game concepts ready and funders will get to vote for the first to be made on May 1st.  If the fund makes enough they will be releasing two games in 2013.  The 3 concepts to choose from are Gray Matter 2, Moebius, or Anglophile Adventure.

Check out the video about it below and check out the Kickstarter page HERE to show your support.

Two Worlds 2 Getting Free DLC

Fans of Two Worlds 2 will be pleased to hear that Topware Interactive is releasing free DLC this Easter weekend.  This DLC will add a defense multiplier mode and 5 new maps.  This defense mode involves teaming up to defeat waves of enemies to finally defeat Gandohar, the villain from the campaign.  So players will have to focus on teamwork and utilizing all their skills.

What’s more the fans are the main reason the DLC was made as there was a lot of interest in remaking the old Castle Defense-style gameplay for Two Worlds 2.  Listening to all the feedback, Topware Interactive designed this DLC just for them.  It’s great seeing developers seriously looking at their fans interests and comments.  It’s even better when it leads to something free for the fans to enjoy too.  If you’re one of the fans that helped craft this DLC or if you’re just a fan of the game in general be sure to check it out.

Lagoonia Adds Egg Hunt for Easter

InnoGames is getting into the Easter season for their game Lagoonia.  What are they up to?  Hidden across the islands in game are different colored eggs for the player to collect.  These eggs can be anywhere from the beach, to the jungle, to rocks, to the ship wreck on the island.  But, players will only be able to find eggs until the 11th, so they should hop to it.

But, InnoGames isn’t just having eggs lying around just so players can find them.  Because of Lagoonia‘s focus on relationships between characters and players, eggs can be used as resources to build special Easter buildings based on the color of the egg.  While the finished Easter buildings will stay as long as players like, unused eggs and unfinished buildings will disappear after April 18th.  So, get hunting and get cracking!
