Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit gets a release date

Perhaps you have heard about Sega’s unique looking platformer featuring a skeleton rabbit already? Well if not then you should check out the below trailer because the amount of craziness it contains will surely help pull some money out of your wallet to pick up Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit once it is released.

Today, alongside the below trailer, Sega revealed that the game will be coming to the PlayStation Network on September 25, Xbox LIVE Arcade on September 26 and the PC on October 3. The title will cost $14.99 for those on PC and PS3 while 360 owners will need to lay out 1200 MSP to help Ash, the rabbit prince of hell take down everything in his path.

Persona 4 Arena lag patched on the Xbox 360

As most of you are probably aware, the Xbox 360 release of Persona 4 Arena has had some issues with its netcode. The problem was first noticed when 360 gamers in Japan experienced unusually high levels of latency compared to their PS3 counterparts. The North American version of the game released earlier this week also experienced the same issues.

However thanks to the development team working hard to fix the issue, a patch has already been released to both Japanese and North American versions of the game. From my experience with the title it seems to have fixed the issue as online matches now flow smoothly compared to how they were working just a few hours ago.

Creation of Doctor Who to Become TV Movie

To mark the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, BBC has announced in a press release that it will be making the origin of the TV series into a TV movie.

It’s been known for a long time that the series creators Sydney Newman,  Cecil Edwin Webber, and Donald Wilson were considered “upstarts” in the BBC studios, having set out to create Doctor Who in response to a gap in the programming schedule on Saturday Mornings in between the kids show Juke Box Jury and the sports program Grandstand. Sydney Newman, Head of Drama, realised that the program would have to appeal to children due to Juke Box Jury, as well as appeal to the adult and teenage audience that watched Grandstand. He realised that a science fiction show would be perfect, and ran to the writing department with the idea, and as they say, the rest is history.

Mark Gatiss, long time Doctor Who writer and actor, will be writing the TV special, with Doctor Who current show runners Stephen Moffat and Caroline Skinner executive producing. It is currently unknown who will be placed in the shoes of the creators and who will be playing the actor of the First Doctor, William Hartnell, then pigeon holed into hardman roles.

“The story of Doctor Who is the story of television – so it’s fitting in the anniversary year that we make our most important journey back in time to see how the TARDIS was launched.” says Stephen Moffat.

The 90 minute tv special is entitled An Adventure in Space and Time and while no air date has been set, it is speculated that it will air on the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who‘s first broadcast, November 23, 2013.

Get creative with your kills in Dishonored’s latest trailer

Sure you could go the simple route and simply backstab or shoot all of the enemies you come across in Arkane Studios’ Dishonored but where would the fun in that be? Today Bethesda released a new trailer for the game showing all of the fancy ways you can take out your enemies.

As you can see below, a large amount of these kills involve combining powers to create some rather awesome kills, like killing a man with his own bullet by slowing time and possession, or strapping an explosive to a summoned rat and sending it into a group of enemies. What makes this even better is the fact this is probably just the tip of the iceberg compared to all the crazy things people will come up with once the game is released on October 9th.

Take a look at what Abe’s Oddysee HD looks like

There hasn’t been a whole lot of news about Abe’s Oddysee HD since it was actually announced to be in production, however today Oddworld Inhabitants has released the first ever screenshot of the visually upgraded title. The HD version of the game will boost all-new graphics instead of simple upscaling and as you can see above, Abe does look a bit more realistic than he used to.

Epic Games Baltimore Becomes Impossible Games

Today Epic Games announced that they have decided to rename one of their studios, formerly known as Epic Games Baltimore, as “Impossible Studios.” The company consists mostly of the previous Big Games staff and it will be led by ex-BG manager Sean Dunn who tweeted earlier today, “Super emotional day today. I cannot say enough about the awesomeness that is @EpicGames.”

The new studio’s first task is to develop Infinity Blade: Dungeons, which is the next title in the hit iOS franchise. They will have some help from another Epic Games studio and will be releasing this later in the year.

Epic Games official statement was made by Epic’s president in which he said, “We were so glad we could help keep this great team together, and we’re lucky to have them! At the time, I said that finding a full team of superstars was ‘impossible’ and apparently the name stuck! Pairing the imagination and experience of Impossible with Epic’s technology, IP and resources makes for a business greater than the sum of its parts.”

New Info for Animal Crossing 3DS Announced

Animal Crossing 3DS had some new information announced today. It was first announced that the official title for the game will be Animal Crossing: Jump Out, which probably refers to a more unique version of the hit franchise. They have also announced that the game has fully redesigned characters and also uses the Nintendo Street Pass.

Along with those announcements, it was announced that they have a new thrift shop run by Lisa the Alpaca, a new shoe store, the familiar Able Sisters Clothing Shop, a full shopping mall just outside of town, and a gardening store run by a sloth. To make things more exciting, you now will be playing as the mayor and the museum will now be open 24/7.

The newly upgraded museum will include new and diverse species of fish and old fossils for you to discover. The new garden store will offer a wide variety of seeds for you to plant around your town to help enhance its beauty. Nook now is in charge of real estate and will be your go-to-person when you want to upgrade your tent to a mansion.

Animal Crossing: Jump Out is being released on the 3DS and will hit stores in the fall for Japan but no release window has been announced for the rest of the world.

DUST 514 gets Connected with EVE Online

For those of you who have been keeping up with the game EVE Online, they have finally announced that its sister game, DUST 514, will be receiving the ability to connect to EVE when they release the closed beta test on August 21. The team will put DUST 514 on EVE’s test server, Singularity, to see how the games interact in a live environment for the first time. What is the best part? All EVE Online subscribers now get to access DUST’S beta.

With this new movement that will be going on, they have decided to go ahead and test orbital strikes on the battlefield. They will be able to call down these orbital strikes from space and use them to destroy their enemies that lay before them. These strikes will be computer controlled but they have said that they will allow the player to control the strikes some time in the future.

The build of the game that is being released on August 21 will include new matchmaking features, plenty of additional environments, keyboard and mouse implementation for PlayStation 3 users, and lots of polish. The team says that its Vita companion app, DUST 514: Neocom, is going live at the same time.

WBIE announces Game Party Champions for Wii U

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the existence of Game Party Champions which will be a Wii U exclusive. Not the first in the Game Part franchise, it will put its own Wii U orientated spin on the mini-game compilation this Christmas.

With the Wii U GamePad players can compete in classic games such as ping pong and skill ball, and modern favourites such as table hockey and hoop shoot.

Game Party Champions offers three game modes: Quick Play, Story Mode and Party Mode. Players who are hungry for instant action can pick any game and start playing in Quick Play. In Story Mode, players try to outplay each other to prove they’re worthy of the “World Champion” title.

In Party Mode, players can see if they are champions by taking their turns with the Wii U GamePad, while the others use Wii Remote controllers to grief (interfere) with their game. Players then spin a wheel to see what game they’ll play next.
