Lococycle PAX Prime 2012 Info

Twisted Pixel’s next game LocoCycle has been pretty stark in information since its teaser trailer back at E3, but that’s been turned around in time for PAX Prime 2012.  Finally having a gameplay trailer, which can be seen at the bottom of the page, players can checkout I.R.I.S., the super agent motorcycle as she fights a plethora of enemies using guns and martial arts.

But, the gameplay trailer isn’t the only video released for the game as a “Behind the Scenes” video shows off the voice actors for both I.R.I.S., the main character, and S.P.I.K.E., her nemesis.  Who did Twisted Pixel get?  Lisa Foiles and Robert Patrick, respectively.  To check out that video players can see the video embedded just below.

Beyond the videos, Twisted Pixel has also said that special real life motorcycles designed after I.R.I.S. and S.P.I.K.E. will be unveiled at PAX Prime 2012.  Built by Southern Metal Choppers and Legacy Effects, the former Stan Winston Studios, the motorcycles are full sized, weighing more than 600 pounds and took more than four months of work to create.  Handcrafted and hand painted, I.R.I.S. is over 8 feet long and S.P.I.K.E. is over 9 feet long, but unfortunately not street legal.

Twisted Pixel will be at PAX Prime showing off not only LocoCycle stuff, but contests and demos for their other popular properties.

Square Enix’s new CoreOnline allows free playtime by watching ads

Today Square Enix launched their brand new cloud gaming service called Coreonline which will allow gamers to play HD games in their PC browser. Developed by a company called Hapti.co, gamers can play on IE (don’t do it) FireFox and Chrome.

Currently the Coreonline service is only offering two games, Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninjas, while Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be available in October. Now what makes Coreonline so interesting is the fact that gamers can play all the titles on it for free, as long as they choose to watch some advertisements first.

What I mean is, gamers can simply watch a few ads on the Coreonline website to earn minutes of gameplay. This means that gamers can simply watch a minute long advertisement and receive around 10-20 minutes of gametime. If you choose not to watch ads or want to skip through them, you will have to pay for the game’s you want to stream. Those interested in checking out the site for themselves can find it here.

Phoenix Wright trilogy comes to the iOS

There shouldn’t be any Objections! to Capcom bringing everyone’s favorite lawyer Phoenix Wright and his three games to the iPhone and iPad this fall season. Well, unless they slap a ridiculous price on all three of them considering most fans probably already own the games in some way or another already.

Either way, this fall the container app of the three games will be released for free and you will be able to purchase the individual games in the trilogy: Ace Attorney, Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations inside. Not much has been said yet as to whether or not these iOS releases will see any significant improvement over past releases.

Bastion coming to the iPad on August 30th

If you were thinking that the beauty of Bastion needs to be in portable form then you are in luck because today Supergiant Games revealed on their blog that they will be bringing the game to the iPad on August 30th. The title will not be a simple port job as it will also include Retina display and Game Center.

For those attending PAX Prime, the game will be playable during the event at booth #6019. To go along with the game’s announcement the company also released the below reveal trailer and revealed the game’s cheaper $4.99 price point, making it a rather cheap alternative to the console and PC versions of the game.

Animal Crossing 3DS gets a Japanese release date

During last night’s Nintendo Direct the company revealed that Animal Crossing: Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori, better known as Animal Crossing 3DS (or Jump Out) will be released in Japan on November 8th. They also demonstrated some of the “neat” features in the game such as the enhanced customization features and more.

As for a Western release, currently the title is meant to be released in Europe at some point next year and although North America has not seen an actual localization announcement for their region, it will likely be released alongside the European release as it is very unlikely the company would not release the game worldwide.

Professor Layton prepares for his final adventure in newly announced game

It seems that the next Professor Layton will also be the last one, or at least that is what Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has stated in his reveal of the game. During last night’s Nintendo Direct presentation Hino revealed that Professor Layton and the Legacy of the Super Civilization A will mark Layton’s final adventure.

The a clip containing this announcement can be seen below and the game itself will be released at some point in 2013 in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS with a release in the West likely to occur sometime after that. It is worth noting that although this may be Layton’s “last adventure” it probably doesn’t mean that this is the last time we’ll ever see the character.

Chillingo and iFun4all Partner for Wake Up Buzii

Chillingo, one of the big publishers for mobile, most famous for publishing such games as Cut the Rope and Angry Birds, has partnered with iFun4all to bring a new arcade puzzle game.  Developer iFun4all, whose games include Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder and Fish Tank, is excited to be working with Chillingo, as they work to support the game’s development at every stage.

The game, Wake Up Buzii, doesn’t have much information out about it yet, but is set to feature hand-drawn visuals, realistic physics, and how spider webs work.  Planned to release for both Android and iOS, Wake Up Buzii will star a sleepyhead and should come out at the end of the year.

Metal Gear’s Raiden enters the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

It seems that when Sony had nothing to say back when a major character leak occurred for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, it was because they wanted to simply show off all of the brand new characters themselves when the time was right.

Today it was revealed by lead game designer Seth Killian that Raiden from the Metal Gear series would be entering into the battle royale with his new look look from Revengeance. Raiden’s strengths lie with his air combos and one on one attacks and actually features one of the largest move sets in the entire game. Interestingly enough, his level three super traps other players under boxes in true Metal Gear fashion.
