Square Enix’s new CoreOnline allows free playtime by watching ads

Today Square Enix launched their brand new cloud gaming service called Coreonline which will allow gamers to play HD games in their PC browser. Developed by a company called Hapti.co, gamers can play on IE (don’t do it) FireFox and Chrome.

Currently the Coreonline service is only offering two games, Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninjas, while Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be available in October. Now what makes Coreonline so interesting is the fact that gamers can play all the titles on it for free, as long as they choose to watch some advertisements first.

What I mean is, gamers can simply watch a few ads on the Coreonline website to earn minutes of gameplay. This means that gamers can simply watch a minute long advertisement and receive around 10-20 minutes of gametime. If you choose not to watch ads or want to skip through them, you will have to pay for the game’s you want to stream. Those interested in checking out the site for themselves can find it here.
