NBA 2K13 Controls Trailer

Players excited for 2K Sports’ NBA 2K13 should be checking out the new trailer they have just released for the game before they make a fool of themselves on the court.  For this year’s NBA, 2K Sports has revamped the controls for the vast majority of everything in the game.  Want to dribble behind the back?  Hesitate to fake out a defender?  Stutter Step?  They all have specific controls to create the moves.

So, players wanting to know exactly what does what going in should check out the trailer embedded below and get to learning the moves.  Better yet those looking to actual practice the new controls can do so by checking out the demo now available on Xbox Live and coming soon to PSN.

The demo lets players not only relive the one five minute quarter of the NBA Finals of last season as either the Oklahoma City Thunder or Miami Heat, but also check out an online quick match.  Xbox users can even check out the Kinect functionality that lets players use the voice recognition to call out plays and strategies.

NBA 2K13 is set to release on October 2nd in North America and October 5th in Australia and New Zealand for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, and PC.  As well as the Wii U after it has been released.

Total War: Rome II Gameplay Video Released

Triarii forward!!!!

Creative Assembly have just released the first gameplay footage for their upcoming strategy behemoth Total War: Rome II the sequel to the widely acclaimed Rome: Total War. In the video we see the Roman faction Scipio besieging the Carthaginian city of… well Carthage. All the standard fare are shown, siege towers, war elephants, archers, principes and a new edition to the franchise ships. In the original Rome: Total War ship battles merely had to be auto-resolved, but in line with Shogun Total War II it appears that both land and ship battles will occur at the same time. The graphics of course look fantastic and look sure to set new standards for the franchise series if not the genre itself.

Be sure to check back in the future for more Total War: Rome II news as we gets closer to its future release date, and of course be sure to check out the video below if you haven’t already.

Where the Trail Ends Out Now

0

Following on from a live streamed world premiere this week, freeride mountain bike movie Where The Trail Ends has just been released to the masses on Blu Ray, DVD and for download via iTunes. The movie follows a select group of some of the world’s top freeriders as they take on some of the more extreme environments that the planet has to offer.

Marking the release of the movie is a new clip featuring Darren Berrecloth, one of the riders featured in the film. In the clip below Berrecloth narrates his own state of mind during a 360 spin in unknown territory. The slow motion action, combined with his concern about the distance to hospitals, make for a rather exciting combination.

The Blu Ray version of the film is fully mastered in 7.1 surround sound using Dolby True HD, definitely ready to go on a home cinema system. Die hards can also try and get their hands on one of only three thousand copies of the limited edition release of the film, which comes complete with a making of journal, a copy of the film on all three formats, and a few surprises to boot.

Need For Speed Most Wanted Get Wanted Trailer

EA and Criterion have released a new trailer for the upcoming Need For Speed Most Wanted. This trailer showcases some aspects of the game, such as gameplay and visuals. More in depth though, is that it showcases high-speed police chases that will be prevalent in the game.

This trailer really attempts to exemplify what it is to be the most wanted. You can tell this because the trailer really puts you up close to the carnage between player and police within the game. What’s even cooler is that it shows that the player can switch vehicles whilst in the middle of a chase.

First details and images revealed for Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus

1

Some of you may remember that during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show presentation they revealed that Marvelous AQL is working on a Senran Kagura game exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. The name of this game happens to be Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus and some scans from the latest issue of Famitsu, courtesy of TaleTaleSource, give us a quick look at the game’s characters, gameplay and features.

Rather than playing on a 2D field like the 3DS versions, battles will take place on a 3D plane where gamers can access 20 playable characters. The characters will still have their clothing ripped up and destroyed as they fight and gamers can play against others via a Wi-Fi connection. Along with the previous schools in the game, two new forces will be added into Shinovi Versus.

The “Death Cram School Ladies Institute of Moonlight” and “Red Blaze Corps” will be joining the “National Hanzou Academy” and “Private Ladies Academy of the Serpent” this time around. Famitsu also details that all first run versions of the game will feature a visual art book, a soundtrack, a drama CD and a folder with a risque image of the most popular character in the series.

The scans can be seen below and gamers can begin to hope for some news of a localization, though the chances seem to be relatively slim.

Silent Hill: Book of Memories demo available in Europe tomorrow

Today it has been discovered that a demo for the Silent Hill: Book of Memories on the PlayStation Vita will be available for everyone who happens to have a European PlayStation Vita. Interestingly enough, North American Vita owners are currently in the dark as to whether or not the demo will be released on the US PS Store.

This is rather significant considering the fact that Sony will only allow one account per Vita, and unless gamers in North America have more than one memory card to work with, they will be unable to access the demo. This is quite a shame as demo access would probably go a long way in silencing all of the naysayers who hate the title over one trailer. We’ve reached out to Konami to see if they will clarify the issue, but until then gamers can look forward to Silent Hill: Book of Memories’ release date on October 16th.
