KontrolFreek Releases FPS Freek Infinity

The people over at KontrolFreek have announced a new addition to their accessory family! The FPS Freek Infinity is based off of the UNSC Infinity which is the ship that houses the multi-player and plays a pivotal role in the upcoming blockbuster, Halo 4. Ashish Mistry, the president and CEO of KontrolFreek, had the foll0wing to say:

“Halo 4 is an exciting and much-anticipated AAA game title. We listened to our community of hardcore Halo enthusiasts when they asked us to create a product celebrating the launch of Halo 4. The FPS Freek Infinity is certain to enhance the experience.”

The FPS Infinity pairs the extended ½-inch height provided by KontrolFreek’s flagship FPS Freek line with a thumb-hugging concave surface for maximum control and performance. Adding onto the spirit of Halo 4, the FPS Freek Infinity is in celestial blue which is the first time the company has made a blue one. It is then finished off with a wonderful Halo-inspired design.

‘What does the FPS Freek Inifity change?’ you may ask. The FPS Infinity puts gamers in complete control of their Spartan and makes aiming and strafing much easier during intense multi-player battles. Infinity is perfect for the right or left thumbstick and is optimized for medium to long-range armaments like the Battle Rifle, DMR and Sniper Rifle.

Have some dramatic Dead Space 3 screenshots

Today Electronic Arts released a handful of new screenshots for Dead Space 3 showing off plenty of dramatic scenes that gamers will be able to experience once the game comes out early next year. We see Isaac trying to survive an attack from a new necromorph, flying through a zero gravity environment and also a bloody message left by one with no hope left.

The screenshots can be seen below in high-resolution and as you can see, there is no reason to be concerned about the “scary” aspect that the series is known for becoming non-existent. Of course the lack of a co-op partner in these images may contribute to that feeling.

Clan of Champions lands on Steam October 30th

October 30th is going to be a day that will literally drain your wallet dry at this point thanks to all of the game releases that are coming out on that day. Now NIS America has revealed that they are adding another title to this already large list of releases with the PC version of Clan of Champions.

As some of you may know, Clan of Champions is known as Gladiator Vs. in Japan and focuses around 3 on 3 gladiatorial fighting where players can be a human, elf or an orc. It is worth noting that although the PC version is being released on Steam on October 30th, a digital PlayStation 3 version of the game is still set to be released later on while the Xbox 360 version of the game was quietly cancelled.

Ragnarok Odyssey set for an October 30th release

You can listen to Harald up there and stop whimpering about not knowing the release date for XSEED’s Ragnarok Odyssey because the company chose today to reveal that the game will be released on October 30th in North America. The game will be available both digitally and physically for $39.99 but those who feel like dropping a little extra scratch on the title will be able to pick up the Mercenary Edition for $49.99 which includes a 96 page art book/guide, a soundtrack CD with 32 songs, 10 monster cards and some special packaging.

To commemorate this announcement, XSEED released a number of new English screenshots for the game which can be seen below.

Borderlands 2’s Captain Scarlett DLC revealed and dated

It looks like fans of Borderlands 2 won’t have to wait very long for the first piece of storyline DLC for the game, as GearBox Software has just revealed that the first DLC for the game will be called Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty and will be released in less than a week.

To be a bit more exact, the DLC will be released on October 16th and will cost $9.99/800 MSP depending on your console of choice. Of course if you happen to own the Borderlands 2 Season Pass then this pack will be free of cost for you. As for the DLC itself, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty will feature a new area where players will venture into the slums of Oasis and encounter a new currency called “seraph crystals.” A couple images of the DLC including a new sand skiff vehicle can be seen below.

Resident Evil 6’s on-disc DLC is “free content”

As many of you may know, Capcom has been well known for some rather shady on-disc DLC tactics over the past year and when gamers discovered that Resident Evil 6 has DLC already on the disc that is not available in the vanilla game, obviously people began fuming at the company for pulling the same tactic once again.

Well, apparently everyone can relax a little bit, as Capcom has announced that this on disc DLC such as the “No Hope” difficulty and Ada Wong’s co-op capabilities, was going to be released as a free title update soon and unlocked. It is interesting to see the company state this after the fact however, rather than make an announcement before it was discovered and drug through the dirt. Perhaps said DLC was going to cost something at one point, but thanks to immediate backlash it was quickly made free to stem the tide.

Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise available now

505 Games is excited to announce the launch of its latest game, Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise. Naughty Bear is a title that brings out the true evilness inside a person while personalizing and somehow justifying the death blow. Your ultimate goal is to eliminate the 36 targets in accordance to their “wrong-doings” to Naughty – even though he probably deserved it.

But that’s not all. Along with the launch of Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise, some interesting content is available for you to purchase to increase the cotton bath of destruction. Priced at 240 MSP is a neat little costume revolving around chainsaws and massacres. Yes, you get to relive some slicing and dicing from the 70’s in this DLC rendition appropriately named Paradise Island Chainsaw Massacre for Xbox Live. Don’t fret Playstation lovers, Teddy Krubear will be making an appearance on the Playstation Network for a mere $2.99. Additionally, the Greek god of thunder plays a role in another part of DLC as Mjolnpaw is a mighty hammer that only Naughty can wield for 80 MSP ($0.99).

You can purchase the game now through Xbox Live for 1200 MSP or Playstation Network for $14.99. Don’t forget to check out the DLC in action below, and go massacre some teddy bears.

Grapple Knight Takes on Steam Greenlight

Indie game Grapple Knight (a game we’ve written about in the past) has been released on Steam Greenlight to a warm welcome, as well as having its first major update since its release.

The game went up on Steam Greenlight a few days ago, and has had quite a bit of attention since then with most of it being support or helpful comments. If it does get enough ratings up then that means it’ll be able to be launched on Steam, so if Grapple Knight looks like something that you’re interested in then you should definitely take the time to check out their Steam Greenlight page and vote them up!

And with the game receiving its first major update, and people at the EB Expo enjoying having a play of it in the Homegrown Gaming section, it certainly seems worth it.

Check out the debut trailer of Grapple Knight below!
