Halo 4 Terminal: Jul ‘Mdama Revealed

While at Comic-con in San Diego earlier this year, 343 Industries revealed that terminals will be returning for Halo 4. They have just released the first terminal for the game and it acts as a prologue of the Covenant’s role in the game.

Titled “Jul ‘Mdama,” you get to hear about why the Covenant is heading towards the mysterious planet Requiem. The greatest part about the terminal is probably the fact that they reveal that there are still some Forerunners left in the universe. Also, unlike the terminals in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the Sanghelli actually speak in their natural language and that adds more depth to the terminals.

You will be able to watch this terminal and all the other ones when Halo 4 launches exclusively on the Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012.

Far Cry 3 ‘Liberation’ Trailer

Ubisoft has just released a new trailer for their upcoming game Far Cry 3. As you can see in the trailer, you are introduced to to the tribal faction of the islands. You first meet Denis who is equally crazy to the tribes leader, Citra. Citra tells the story in the trailer of how the island came to be. She describes the whole thing as a giants head falling to the earth. Citra later goes on to say that it has been predicted that a great warrior will take back the islands for the tribe and she thinks its you.

You will be able to get the full scoop on this story when Far Cry 3 releases on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on December 4, 2012.

Dishonored hits store shelves today; go buy it

In case you didn’t already know, Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ Dishonored has hit shelves today and if you haven’t already gone out and purchased the game well then you better because it may be the greatest stealth game this whole generation and is easily a game of the year contender. Of course if you live in Europe, you have a couple of days still to wait which is such a shame.

Don’t believe me? Then go check out my review for the game and come back later. If you need some more convincing then you should check out the launch trailer for the game below.

Sword of Rapier coming to the PlayStation Vita

Many of you may not have heard about Sword of Rapier before thanks to the fact that it was simply a Windows Phone 7 and Xbox Live Indie Game from Japanese studio vDog. However that is all about to change thanks to the fact that the developer of the game has come out on Twitter and said that he is working on bringing Sword of Rapier to the PlayStation Vita.

In response to a fan on Twitter he stated “I’m making SofR for Vita now. Don’t Miss It!” Currently the only gameplay footage is from the already released Windows Phone 7 version, which can be seen below. As for the game itself, the story follows a young woman named Katharine who has lost her memory and is being chased by soldiers. While the game does appear a bit basic from the trailer, it is worth noting that the Vita version may look better and it is always good to see another digital Vita game in development.

Persona 4 Golden’s new features shown off in latest trailer

Atlus has been spending quite some time showing off screenshots of features everyone already knows about from Persona 4 Golden, but today the company has seen fit to release a trailer showing off all of the new content that will be contained on the PlayStation Vita exclusive Persona 4 Golden.

In the trailer below we are shown the new social link for the game, Marie, as well as a number of new events, attacks and personas that gamers will have access to once the game is released on November 20th. Considering the lack of RPG’s on the Vita at the moment and the new features that Persona 4 Golden contains, this may be one of the most anticipated Vita games this holiday season.

Green Arrow joins the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster

It looks like Green Arrow is going to get some mainstream recognition from Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios as it has been revealed that he will be one of the playable fighters in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Not only was it revealed that Green Arrow will join the roster, but the company also showed off his fighting style and special attacks in a video which can be seen below.

As for Injustice: Gods Among Us’ release date, we still have the slightly vague April 2013 release window, but gamers will be able to pick it up on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U once it is released.

Borderlands 2 Mechromancer class available early!

Guess what? Gearbox managed to finish their first piece of downloadable Borderlands 2 content earlier than expected and this means that if you were to access Borderlands 2 today, you will be able to download the fifth class to the game, Gaige the Mechromancer.

As you should know by now, Gaige will be free for anyone who is a member of the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club (Pre-orderers of the game) while everyone else will have to drop 800MSP/$9.99 to access her. Gaige comes with a number of different abilities, mostly focusing around her flying robot called Deathtrap and Anarchy skills. Gearbox already revealed her full skill tree which players can customize here, and now you can check out some new screenshots of her in action below.

Bebee the Bee Buzzes onto the iPad

Looking for a new app that has the right mix of cute and colourful? Well you’re in luck because indie developer Alex Vlaskin has released Bebee the bee, a free game where kids (or adults) can help Bebee collect nectar and pollen from 8 different kinds of colorful flowers. You explore the map, avoiding obstacles, pollinating flowers, dealing with deadly wasps by either fight or flight, and reaching a quota for nectar and pollen.

There are 14 challenging levels to fly through (including bonus and special levels), five different types of enemies, eight different flowers, and five animations celebrating your wins.

You can either use gesture controls, or if that’s too new tech for you, then you can use a button system. Bebee is aimed at an audience of younger kids (but don’t let that stop you), and was quite popular with kids at the EB Expo 2012. So if you’re looking for something to keep the kids quiet during a road trip or waiting room, then you should definitely look at getting this app.

Check out the trailer for the game below!

343 Industries ‘Not Ready to Show Chief’s Face Yet’

It has been revealed that 343 Industries will not show the face of the helmeted hero Master Chief.  Frank O’ Connor revealed this earlier in an interview in which he said the following:

“The funny thing about the Chief is he’s actually really well described. If you went down into that line and found a nerd with a deep canon Halo t-shirt and said describe the Master Chief to this police sketch artist, that police sketch artist would then produce a perfectly accurate rendering of an older man, almost painfully pale, almost albino white, with pale blue eyes, reddish hair, close cropped to a skin head, and maybe the last remnants of freckles he had when he was a kid.”

Frank described the whole thing as wanting to keep the mystery alive and that he doesn’t want the fans to loose that sense of mystery that it gives the fans.  He then went on to say:

“That’s a device to keep the player invested in the character and keep the player from constantly being reminded that they’re not a hero or that they have to be a boy or they have to be a girl, or whatever that is.”

You can pick up Halo 4 when it releases exclusively on the Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012.
