CD Projekt RED has officially unveiled the title of their upcoming RPG game that is currently in development. “Cyberpunk 2077” is set in the world created by Mike Pondsmith who is one of the founding fathers of the founding fathers of the genre and creator of the RPG, Cyberpunk. Mike Pondsmith said the following about Cyberpunk 2077:
“The team has to love the material. The Team has to want to be faithful to the material. The Team has to have the skills to execute the material and see that vision through to the end. They have to be on fire with the desire to make an extraordinary game. An that leads why, at last, to why we hooked up with CD Projekt RED.”
Players will be thrown into the dark future of the year 2077 and into a world where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity. They game will be set in the lively city of Night City and its surroundings. Players will be able to revisit places that are well known from its predecessor “Cyberpunk 2020”, some of these include a combat zone over ran by gangs, the legendary Afterlife joint and the nostalgic Forlorn Hope.
The gameplay will consist of some aspects you may remember from “Cyberpunk 2020” which will all be adjusted to fit the sandbox perfectly. You will also get to use some of your favorite weapons like guns, rifles, implants, and best of all, dozens of gadgets.
No platforms or release date has been announced for Cyberpunk 2077 but it rumored to be releasing some time in 2014 or 2015.
Leading up to SummerSlam, WWE Games spoke with the legendary Texas Rattlesnake, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. Aubrey Sitterson went into the interview with a list of questions for the iconic Superstar, including his thoughts on WWE ’13, the “Attitude Era” and current WWE Champion CM Punk. Unfortunately, things took a different spin, as Austin took issue with Sitterson’s line of questions, tone and pretty much everything about the hapless WWE Games Community Manager.

The skulls for Halo 4 have officially been revealed. For those of you who don’t know, skulls can be found throughout the game’s campaign. Once you find a skull you can use it in the campaign to modify an aspect of the how the game plays. Here is the list of the skulls that will be included in Halo 4:
Famine – Weapons drop much less ammo.
Tilt – Enemy resistances and weaknesses are increased.
Mythic – Enemies have increased health.
Catch – Enemies are grenade happy!
Black Eye – Shields don’t recharge unless you melee enemies.
Tough Luck – Enemies always go berserk, always dive out of the way, and never flee.
Iron – Co-op: Back to previous checkpoint on death. Solo: Restart mission on death.
Thunderstorm – Major upgrade to the capabilities of enemies.
Cloud – Motion sensor is disabled.
Cowbell – Acceleration from explosions is increased.
IWHBYD – Rare combat dialogue becomes more common.
Grunt Birthday Party – Headshot a Grunt, HAPPY BOOM TIME!
Blind – The HUD and the first person arms and weapon are hidden.
You will be able to use these skull when Halo 4 launches exclusively on the Xbox 360 on November 6.
It has been revealed to via NeoGAF that Halo 4 will not be featuring terminal inside the game. While this may come as a surprise to many, they said they were not able to put them on the disc because they were finished so late in the development process.
Some of you may be asking yourselves, ‘how will we be able to access them?’ It was revealed that you will be able to access them and watch them via Halo Waypoint. This is actually not new to the Halo franchise because they did something similar in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. The only difference between them it that Halo: CEA had them on disc also unlike Halo 4.
You are able to download Halo Waypoint right now via Xbox Live but, you can pick up Halo 4 when it releases November 6 on the Xbox 360.
Yesterday it was announced that Nippon Ichi Software’s The God and the Fate Revolution Paradox was delayed until early next year. However they have tried to make it up to fans today by releasing the below three and a half minute trailer, containing some of the first footage of the game in motion.
As you can see in the video, we see some in-battle gameplay footage as well as character introductions all set to some rather impressive background music. It is worth noting that The God and the Fate Revolution Paradox currently has not been given a Western release window, though it is safe to say that fans of NIS America’s games should have no reason to fret over this, since one will likely be announced within a few months.
Now that Natsume’s Harvest Moon: A New Beginning hasgone gold the company has shared an English trailer for the game which can be seen below. The trailer itself provides a brief look at some of the character customization that players will be able to do for the first time in the franchise’s history.
Also shown off are some in this short video are a couple of the characters you will run into in the game as well as a tropical looking beach. Those of you interested in picking up this Nintendo 3DS exclusive will be able to do so on November 6th.
As I have grown older I have lost some of my naïveté, as well as gained the ability to look at things through new eyes. This applies to a variety of things, one of them being television shows. In growing up I have become less judgemental and more open to shows that I might have previously dismissed, but I’m also far more cautious about the shows I get invested in. There are only so many Firefly incidents a girl can take before my heart gives out, y’know?
So a practice I like to adopt is waiting, not watching a show from its inception but instead waiting until a network has picked it up for a second season and then watching all of the first season in a solid block. It’s something that I’ve discovered others do as well, because this practice of abruptly pulling shows (despite quality or fan base) is a rough one.
I can’t even begin to hazard a guess on how decisions to continue or cancel shows are made – though viewership must factor strongly, and in some cases above the show itself – that secret belongs to the suits at the networks. Heck, I can’t even factor into it since I live in Australia and my love and loyalty towards these shows is between me and my internet provider. But if you are like me and you tend to fall hard and fast for those lovable and hate-able characters on the TV screen then maybe the waiting game is one you ought to give a go.
Unless I’m writing about a show and I suggest you watch it. Then you should probably watch it. I watch a lot of TV, I know what I’m talking about.

Overview
Revenge is a complex idea, with a lot of twists and turns and not a lot of stability. So really, the only question is, why hasn’t someone made a show about it earlier? I admit, when I first heard the title of Revenge I questioned it – all of these one word television show titles don’t really inspire the imagination. However, there really isn’t another good way to sum it up, it really is all about revenge.
Story
Revenge follows a young lady whose name was originally Amanda Clarke, but goes by Emily Thorne now, whose father was framed for domestic terrorism and died in prison. So it’s no surprise that she’s got a bit of rage inside, and she’s decided to take revenge on everyone involved in the court case against her father. Sounds fairly simple, but it is quite a twisted path that involves a whole lot of manipulation, high-tech spyware, and the dark secrets of the immensely rich.
It’s kind of like Gossip Girl (including the casting of Connor Paolo, or Eric van der Woodsen) in that there are rich people and they’re always trying to get one up on each other, except that in this case it involves far more serious things like death and jail. Plus, Emily is a total badass.
Not only does she pull some crazy stunts off with manipulation, she’s incredibly smart and adapts to just about any situation. Which helps when you’re trying to blackmail and expose a bunch of rich, dangerous people. She can also come off as a bit cold because of this, but it’s tempered by moments of honesty and vulnerability. But, to be honest, it’s just fun to see her devious mind at work.
Emily is also the best at the over the shoulder scheming look while hugging someone else. It’s actually kind of funny how she’s perfected the slight squint, head tilt, and suspicious look. And once you notice that you sort of look for it every time.
She’s not the only one with ulterior motives, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) is the epitome of a sexy Devil in a red dress. She loves her family unconditionally and does whatever she can to protect them. She certainly isn’t a sympathetic character, but she is fun to watch. And that’s what this show is, with its morally ambiguous characters and conspiracies, it’s a huge amount of fun to watch.
As the first season, Revenge really establishes itself well as a great mystery show, with really interesting characters who develop a lot over the time of the show (not always in positive ways either). You’ll find yourself rooting for certain characters, then your opinion of them changing over time, that’s just how much the show sucks you in. However, there are also characters that you hate and can’t wait to get rid of. Unfortunately, the characters have a habit of never really leaving and on more than a few occasions you end up groaning as one of them returns like a bad rash.
There are the usual relationship dramas and love triangles (or squares) that you can expect from a drama show. These aren’t as annoying as the teenage equivalent, but they are frustrating in that whole ‘will they won’t they’ way.
Visuals
The style of Revenge models itself a little after the fakeness you can see in soap operas. The colours are a little off, leaving it a little unsettling, which is the purpose of it really. Apart from that, the Hamptons and the stunningly rich sets are breathtaking and allow for some pretty awesome backgrounds.
In terms of cinematography the shots are well set up, and well-designed to be given that surreal, overly pretty quality. It works really well, especially in the overly affluent setting.
Audio
The soundtrack of Revenge capitalizes on the suspenseful nature of it, emphasizing and exaggerating moments of the show. The main soundtrack theme is a bit Inception-y – we’re all about mystery and suspense here, especially when it involves ominous sounds. Overall, it works well and you’re never really left feeling that it’s over the top or out of place.
Special Features
There are a tonne of special features included on each disc, including behind the scene featurettes, deleted scenes for almost every episode, and bloopers. It’s everything you want from the extras in a DVD box set.
Overall
Revenge: The Complete First Season is a DVD box set that allows you to relive the crazy and intense storyline of Revenge, as well as some extras. Revenge is a story for those who love mystery, suspense and some good old double-crossing. Revenge is well written and acted with some really intriguing plot twists and character relationships. You’ll find yourself watching more and more episodes as the suspense and cliffhangers get to you.
Plus, with the second season of Revenge out on TV, it’s the perfect time to rewatch the first season and get a refresher on the story up until now.
