If you prefer digital games instead of picking up physical titles, then you will soon have no excuse not to check out Atlus’ Code of Princess. Today it was revealed that Code of Princess, the fantasy side-scrolling brawler, will be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in January.
To be a little bit more specific, the title will be available for download on January 3rd, as found by GoNintendo, which is great news considering as far as I can tell from my own local stores, the game is very hard to find on store shelves (though it is available and on-sale currently, at Amazon). It is currently unknown how much the digital version of the game will cost compared to the original copy.
That certainly didn’t take long at all now did it? A little over two months after it was announced that Earth Defense Force 3 Portable would be heading to the West under its new name Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable and today it was revealed that the game will be available for purchase on January 8th in North America and January 16th in Europe.
Now unfortunately, the title will no longer be receiving a physical release as once thought. Instead the game will be available only as a digital download for $39.99. Now while this is unfortunate for fans who enjoy physical versions of their games, it is still great to know that the game is at least coming out in the West. Check out some new screenshots below and keep an eye out for the game on the PlayStation Store on January 8th.
You may have heard of a certain Naruto game for the Nintendo 3DS that was made in Japan, called Naruto SD: Powerful Shippuden. Well while many fans in the West thought that there was no chance this game would ever make it overseas, it seems that Namco Bandai has chosen to prove all of those fans wrong.
Today the company revealed that they are releasing the title in North America under its new title, Naruto: Powerful Shippuden, in March exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will feature two separate stories to play where players will take control of either Naruto or Rock Lee as they finish missions that were featured in the original Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals anime.
You can check out some screenshots of the game below as well as the first English trailer for the title, both of which show the unique art style of this game that originally earned it its SD name in Japan.
The Steam Sale is upon us. So we’ll get that out of the way.
Tons of games are on sale for really great prices. Today’s big sales are Scribblenauts Unlimited at $19.99 or 33% off, Wargame European Escalation at $9.99 or 75% off, Mirror’s Edge for $4.99 or 75% off, the Borderlands franchise for 50% for 75% off, the Prince of Persia franchise for $2.49 or 75% off, and the Hitman franchise for 50% for 75% off.
I highly recommend Mirror’s Edge, it is a cult favourite and many are demanding for a sequal. The Borderlands franchise is also an excellent choice; however the season pass for Borderlands 2 is not on sale. With promises of a feature that promised to make watching television a centralized experience, Nintendo’s Wii U was poised to do something truly interesting with the TVii. After an initial delay, Nintendo’s TVii application is finally coming out for WiiU owners in the United States and Canada today.
Nintendo promises that TVii will merge cable television, satellite television, and on-demand internet television (such as Hulu Plus) into a single, cohesive experience. This is aimed at helping people “focus on what they want to watch and not how they want to watch,” as combining multiple avenues of video entertainment can be a frustrating experience.
According to Nintendo of America COO Reggie Fils-Aime:
After Dec. 20, you’ll never look at your TV the same way again. Wi iU owners have already experienced the transformative effect that the GamePad has on game play and social interaction. Nintendo TVii shows how the integrated second screen of the GamePad can also transform and enhance the TV viewing experience. Welcome to the new world of TVii.
So what do you think? Is this something you’re excited to try out or will it be a useless app? Let us know!

Atlus USA revealed today that they are planning on publishing Old School Games’ God Mode. The company is planning on releasing the title sometime early in 2013 as a digital download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
What is God Mode you ask? Well first I recommend checking out the trailer below, just to hear the narrator’s voice. All done? Well God Mode places you, a descendant of an ancient god, in Hades as a dead man. Apparently, your god bloodline has been banished from Mt. Olympus and you have been turned into mortals, however now that you are in purgatory you can reclaim your eternal life as long as you can survive the Maze of Hades.
Players will face off against dozens of crazy looking enemies where they can fight with three other players in 4-player online co-op. As you defeat enemies you will be given gold and experience points which will allow you to not only upgrade your equipment throughout the game but your appearance as well.
